My standard of whether to cuck or not, whether incest or not, etc. Is the quality of the story. Sometimes it takes a very good story indeed to qualify. The crux of the story is two characteristics traits of Hutch's wife. Vivian Gardner and Dubois; lets give here the later a first name Kylie. The driving force of the story is the conflict Hutch's wife has to fight with herself. The moment Hutch admits to be cuck her conflict is resolved. Vivian and Kylie coexist without conflict, Hutch's wife may shift between Vivian and Kylie without any guilt. The moment Hutch leaves his wife, Vivian is dead, or at least totally suppressed (as Kylie was the last 23 years); in this case, the conflict is also resolved. Clearly, in this forum many opt for cuck, because it is a win situation for Vivian, Kylie and Hutch. However, what's the solution if being a cuck doesn't fit Hutch's personality? And that's exactly what makes the story happen and makes it interesting.
Dlisagree. This is a woman deeply confused by herself. She cries bitterly because the help she hoped to find at home is not there. Remember, she cannot bear the thought of Husband fucking another woman. Yet she fucks Boss with gusto. She is nowhere close to resolving this dissonance in herself at this point. She cannot act with determination, she cannot act rationally.
The madness has overtaken her. She is as surprised at herself as Husband is with her.
I would say that what Jon's story shows us of Wife at home is not consistent with the satisfied look that she had when she left Boss's bedroom. If Jon meant to illustrate this lostness in her, I would ask that the significance of the difference be made a little clearer.
I would say that SC intends to show us people with conflicting confused feelings. Husband and Wife both. In fact SC says chpt 3 is where we will see Husband deal with his own confusion. When feelings are confused, god help us. Because feelings are not a something we can choose. They are what they are.
What we can do is choose to change behavior or belief. There are only a few influences that can bring us to that point. One is dissonance, the other is emotional trauma. As adults. As children, it is a little easier from a parent's point of view. Changing self? Tough.

I had to read it a few times and I'm not really sure I understand it 100%. So basically if he's a cuck it is game over. If he leaves her it is also game over and if he isn't either of them you don't have an answer to it but makes a story? I like it! But I only see sharing as the alternative and she doesn't want it. I never saw Hutch as a cuck. Sure he is passive but doesn't get of on her fucking the boss.

I think that is where Jon's story is leading Husband and Wife. Sharing is a possibility that can resolve the situation for them as it does for her and her husband. I'd suspect that Boss won't be happy with that, but maybe Jon can figure out a way to fix that too.
I'd say it would be a good idea for Husband to bring Wife to talk about sharing with Sunshine. This idea might take a while to sink in, but resolving the dissonance will be a strong motivator.
And the sooner Husband and Wife can have sex again, the better for them both. The place where they actually do love each other will be so happy and relieved. Healing can happen. Notice Sunshine making sure that Rain gets his time with her after the other fucking. This is essential to making it work. As I have heard from a long term rl threesome relationship. Nobody gets to feel left out. Everybody gets to feel loved.

Hutch can't keep this up for long. There are no signs that Kylie can be suppressed any longer, at least not at the moment.
Hutch and Vivian will only survive if they stand by each other. It is not a preparation for reconciliation Hutch and his wife/ it is not a ending. It is the preparation for a possible Plot 2, to maintain some minimum of connection between Hutch and Vivian ("a long night for Hutch and Vivian". Vivian and Hutch tease Christian, who feels humiliated - with corresponding consequences (Plot 3b))
Plot 3a could be a dinner Brian/Becca/Hutch/Vivian where it is worked out that swinging is not an option for Hutch and his wife. Kylie and Christian is more than just fun/just hot sex/ Vivian still doesn't agree with Hutch having sex with other women.
Plot 3b: During dinner, Christian orders Hutch's wife to a meeting in the company warehouse; (a gangbang with Hutch's colleagues and some workers of the warehouse). Hutch's colleagues don't know that Dubois is Hutch's wife and next morning there are some spicy, dirty talks in the office.

In the actual story. I do not think we will see Hutch and Vivian have sex until this thing with Christian is resoled some way... ( revenge plot or not )
Wouldn't that simply be glorious.
So, a necessary change for Wife would be to stop having sex with Boss. Otherwise, her emotional conflict is not resolved. The story cannot logically end with that unresolved. Unless the intent is for her to descend into dark dark fantasyland.
Lots of drama there. Consequences for Wife? Dramatic fun at the office would not be furthering the plot.
Right now the most possible resolution we have on the table is sharing as facilitated by Sunshine. Possibilities for reconciliation in the actual story are quite limited, would hinge on Wife being unable to get Boss to accept her demands. Very tough way to go. Jon's suggested sharing is much more doable.
For sharing to work, Husband will need to accept that Wife will be with Boss some of the time. Wife need not accept that Husband will have other lovers, but that could be an added flair to the story if dev wants to do that.

Sunshine was mor interested in possible sharing with Christian I thought... not Hutch. At this point .. and what we know of Hutch.. I do not think he will be up for that. He even said he was not interested in getting with another women when Vivian offered.
Right now, the situation is that both Wife and Husband have conflicted feelings that must be resolved one way or the other. People can't go on that way long term. So the solution would be to explore possible changes
Sharing, but Husband need not get involved with other women
Wife gives up Boss.
What is the most likely? Would Wife even be able to give up Boss?
I think a little creative writing by Jon could show Sunshine talking to Wife and Husband and helping them understand how sharing could resolve things for them. Then some time for them both to come to understanding and acceptance. Finally, they can once again have sex and confirm their feelings for each other.
Is this story likely to have a happy ending? Only SC knows.

The story evolves, it is far away from a solution. Christian will provide enough activities to test/increase Kylie's obedience and submission. Kylie will be eager to prove that she won't be broken. Every adventure she completes will give her more and more satisfaction; she longs for the feeling being powerful. (I do not know, but I expect that the actual plot will go exactly in this direction. Sex with Christian would only be a fling on the side - also a little reward for his efforts. Kylie would never consider to marry Christian - she uses him and likes to be used.)
Without Hutch, this would last up to a point of no return. Kylie is owned by Christian. Vivian senses this and Hutch is her only anchor. She knows what she burdens him with. This causes her great discomfort. Hutch and his love is her last bastion to resist this. And finally Kylie - maybe due to a real bad experience - realizes (with the help of Hutch) that it is beyond any reasonable boundaries. And then her new life (hopefully with Hutch) can begin.
My assessment of SC's game so far: Wife left Boss's bedroom at the end of part 2 with a satisfied look on her face. She thinks she has made her demands clear to Boss and he will accept them. Chapt 3 will show whether she is right or not.
