That was the strongest criticism this game received. I was sad, many were sad, and if the game developer reads this review, they'll be sad too. But everything you said is true. This game is very good, but in my opinion, the biggest narrative flaw is in Chapter 1. She slept too easily. She should care more about Hutch, love him, understand his weaknesses, teach him how to be smarter, more professional, and a better man. She should behave like a faithful wife. Of course, since this is a porn game and not a documentary about relationships, sooner or later she would give in to Christian's advances. But this should happen gradually, with an exchange of glances, a compliment, liking her photos on social media. The author needed to set the stage. Hell, the author could even create a prelude to insert sexting: during the night while Hutch sleeps, Christian would try to chat with her on the phone. Lewd photos, etc. Anything other than sex.

With regard to the speed of things happening in Ch1, that was a deliberate choice by the dev, partly, I guess, because of time constraints as he is not a fan of long, drawn-out stories, but also partly as means of getting us thinking. His notes on it:

This is not like other games

Is there a main character and who is it? Vivian the center of the story for sure. Everything essentially revolves around her and creates the scenarios the others respond to. But I don't thinks she's really all that interesting, to be honest. Her motivates, while leading to sexy adventures, are not that complicated. To say that Hutch is more interesting (but maybe not the main character), might be a better way to describe him. Vivian gets her inner monologue as a short cut. Some things are to complicated to express in still renders or would require more extensive blocks of dialogue that would turn off the viewer. While I don't 'identify myself as the main male protagonist' in these games, as a guy I still empathize with them. I guess my goal is to have the viewer (nearly all men) to have some connection to him. I don't want to give him an inner monologue because I hope that the reader will do that for themselves. To deduce his mindset from his actions/reactions. Or to just let it be a mystery. I'm not educated in story telling. Maybe this is a flawed idea.

She deliberately wears high-heels to make hutch look small in stature and to immasculate him in the presence of Christian, as Hutchs tells her " I don't like it when you wear high-heels. Vivian doesn't know that her husband was in the ladies' room, so she doesn't want to humiliate Hutch at all, and only later does she realize that maybe there was someone in the bathroom... She does everything she can to prevent her husband from suffering... but her husband is also partly to blame. In all couple relationships, the fault never lies with just one side.

5: At the end of CP1, she very cleverly manipulates Hutch into accepting the open marriage, she persuades hutch the sex means nothing ( bullshit) and that shes only doing it to help him keep his job ( more bullshit) shes doing it to protect her long-term wants and needs.
