I agree with all what you say here. I just wonder if it is just a question of inborn character (as you seem to suggest) or of being conditioned and of the norms of society. I think it's a mix of both. Some people (women and men) are more introverted, passives, so they prefer to follow others. But obviously is undeniable that society condition us all to a greater or lesser extent, and this kind of people will be more influenced to the point of being taken advantage such as the Hutch's of the world.
Don't worry, I see what you're saying and I agree. That's why many men don't seem to find their place in this new society configuration. Because they have been told that they should be the "leader" of the house, but most women today want something in between. It's Hutch case. Yes, obviously it will be the case from now on. It's one of the characteristics of ntr games. I would like something different (a revenge from his part or from her part), specially with AVN with such quality as this one. But it seems that we're heading to have all the tropes: wife being whored (to maybe the point of enjoy being like that, when at the beginning nothing was heading this way), with her fucking guys that otherwise she would not even be interested in (her son's dorks friends, the younger athlete of her school), BBC always being portrayed the same way, and finally the male MC willingly being destroyed as a human being.

And any reasonable revenge scenario IMO must involve company's finances, I don't see any other way to hurt Christian. Take away accounts and fragile business informations to competition? He said something about needing some time alone with his thoughts. He could literally have gone and sat on a park bench all day. Or, maybe it wasn't "alone with his thoughts" per se, and he ended up talking to someone (which could have been Addison). I imagine the first though, and it will be a case of nothing to see there.
If he is a numbers guy like they say(calculative) he would have gone to a Divorce lawyer and look at his options. Perhaps the freedom he gave his wife is just an excuse to gather all evidence of the affair and the schemes Christian is doing with his company of using his wife to please the clients... it's a bit of a stretch but that's my prediction
