Good text, it gives a more realistic view, avoiding moralism and speaking pure reality. In the case of the game, it fits well into this idea of stepping out of stability; I think the couple's main problem in the game is their dialogue and having gotten used to a robotic routine. The only thing that took them out of their day-to-day life was the problem that initiates the game, and even by the end of this version, they are still not clear in their conversation. I believe that none of this would have happened if the husband and wife had more open dialogues and tried to escape a bit from the routine. I'm not talking about the couple turning liberal, but giving more attention than simply gifting a car to the wife. I think her need was more about feeling desired again.

What you are saying is playing into exactly that narrative the text posted above wants to break with: The wife's feeling that she deserves more and is bored.
Apart from that there is no evidence in the game for this, this is just the Western mainstream narrative for failed marriages.
I'm not just talking about risk and boredom, I'm talking about deepening ties, this comes both ways, not just from the wife's side, the husband also has to feel good. Honestly, from what I saw in the game it didn't seem like a completely light and honest couple on both sides, it seemed to me that there were barriers there, they were playing a robotic role: work, paying the bills, and having sex to say that they were a couple. The game shows how the husband doesn't have an emotional tact at work, everything is very logical, this is already a sign of the plot that he is someone like that in his personal life too, and the text of the game makes this clear in Christian's notes, he seems to me like a person who doesn't connect well emotionally, and his wife also seemed to be like that, she seems to be afraid of being honest even with herself, she doesn't seem to have confidence, and that's also on his part. In addition to Dutch having an inferiority complex, he puts his personal life completely in a box, I'm not talking about talking too much, but he's a fearful guy, he already has a defeated mindset.
And the text seems to me to be talking about a hypothetical functional couple that has a connection, which Vivian and Dutch lack, but the hypothetical woman in the text is looking for even more.

This is true for older women. As older woman is getting, she's getting less and less compliments and interests from men(which for men is different). Competing with younger girls is exhausting and it's not easy constantly taking care of yourself to look and feel better just to be desirable again. Men are valued for status(money), women for youth which is hardcore unfair truth.

I personally think the bored housewife trope can be pretty self explainable, but to me, hutch makes me more curious. Why does he not even want to hug Addison with his arms, even when she is clearly into him? Is it because he is shy or loyal or very conservative or a closet gay or something? Also, what is his actual size? Vivian does say he is fun size, but I wonder what's going on there? He is such a nice guy, but why are all his male colleagues such jerks to him, or is it just they're just pulling his leg or what? Why is he so withdrawn from any interactions with his son, or was it just because of the surrounding situations? What makes him finally agree to the deal? The job or because he cares for Vivian, or he feels it's the only way to keep his marriage not failing, or simply he just wants to take revenge on this somehow?
You have posed some interesting questions. Hopefully, we will get to understand more of these sort of things soon, though I think it will be the update after the next one that is planned to focus more on Hutch.
I will give my current opinions though. I think that he does not hug Addison firmly or otherwise respond much to her because he is (at least at this time) loyal and conservative in the sense of not wanting to be flirtatious with other women. I do not think that there is a problem with his penis size, and Vivian did mention that he in the past has been an animal in bed. I think that his office atmosphere is generally toxic (except for Addison), which probably starts at the top with his boss, which is why he did not want Vivian around them. I do not have a good answer for him not being as active in interacting with his son, though maybe this is to show that Vivian is relatively more involved with the son. The last set of questions you asked may have multiple answers, as in, maybe it is all of the above, although I think that the job (ironically) comes last in his mind because he repeatedly told Vivian that he wanted to leave his boss' home and did not want to grovel for his job before she did what she did; otherwise, I do think that he cares for his wife and thinks he's giving her what she really wants (at least for a time in his mind), but it is possible and has often been discussed that he may have revenge on his mind. In relation to that, we do not know what Hutch was thinking altogether when he went missing that time until the evening and then returned home to speak openly with Vivian about what he had concluded (but could have told her only what was relevant to her and withheld other thoughts he was having about his boss and the company).

all this talk about how long Hutch and Viv have been married does beg the question.. has Viv cheated before while they were married. she is so quick to jump on Christian's dick that it would make sense that she has been cheating on Hutch all throughout their marriage. wonder if we will see her contacting old sex friends once she tires of Christian. just a thought.
This possibility has been entertained MANY times in this already lengthy thread, and the general consensus from what I remember is that the in-game evidence does not support this idea.
a little funny this abbreviated intrepretation of a fellow woman - as if written under a patriachal rhetoric that pulls responsibility from the guy - the classic “I could because she was dressed defiantly”. Unsettlingly close to the rhetoric of incels - However, (still) it is guys who cheat more often and more commonly, without bearing social responsibility for it - not to the same extent as women. A cheating guy is a confident strong male who has a moment of weakness which we forgive him, a cheating woman is most often a whore and a slut.
Heres the thing, as is hinted in the game, has Vivian (as a teacher and before the introduction of Christain) been messing around with one or two of her students.

Its obviously a personal opinion but I don't fancy Vivian's looks much. I can easily image her to look like mrs Doubtfire in like 10 years.
If it was me, I would have her look more like Katrin from Girlfriend, obviously not a bombshell as the bar with Hutch (with his zero charisma) is pretty low but a bit more slutty, a carre haircut could be more fitting.

played only 20 minutes until now but i can say i like the game. wife is a hot one. you can do more games or storys with lookalikes like her!

Yes, I just appreciate that the game’s creator didn’t go with the typical universally stunning model (well, except for the body…). During the kitchen and bedroom scenes at Christian’s house, there were moments when the combination of her makeup, tattoos, and behavior conveyed the impression of a seasoned whore - which I find attractive
