she threw everything away for a fling with a scumbag who just looked at her as a plaything
not just that...she was also telling of hutch even when he told her he didn't want to go ahead with the dinner just outside christian's house or any of the events there after ill will talk about some of those points later. yes from the start vivian didn't understand or was stupid to think she could get her way like she was doing with hutch at home and is paying the price for it. there are few redemption arcs for the protagonists and ever fewer for the couple redemption arc in this thread. the cigarette man is the best possible one for the couple redemption arc is my theory. let's keep that aside for now... 2nd is also related to the cigarette man but its just a wakeup call for vivian to get out of the delusion she has made herself believe she can go back to hutch and be happy after all that she has done and go about finding a solution like she did at the start but with a renewed understanding of what she is up against.
her son to turn his back on her when he finds out she betrayed his father.
that's mostly possible based on the twins, dunno if you have read any of those posts. interesting theories there. about the ironic post.... after the sex marathon she had with christian after saying she can take care of herself and moaning all night long can you blame hutch for that comment. vivian thinking sex is the solution to everything is another major flaw, even though she is educated enough to teach at school, kinda makes me think that all that crying is just fake just to play the victim.
I knew about outside....but since we were not hering what was said.. I think she probably would have complained there too. We just know about the on in the kitchen... Ohhh Christian I think also got her to swallow from the BJ in the bathroom... Not sure she ever did that for Hutch either. just a thought ???
Packard you need to read the kn again you missed the part where vivian is wiping her mouth behind the wall when they go back to talk to hutch. this render is similar to the one in the bathroom where she wipes her mouth after swallowing. there are both theories about vivian being innocent and wild pre marriage or younger days. and about your previous post the duke commented on... if vivian was reserved maybe she might have thought of a different way other than sex. and there are 3 times vivian decide on her own even when husband is telling her no...the first is when they get to christian's house vivian tell hutch she is a big girl and hutch says he doesn't want to go to the dinner. there is a conversation in the car and at the door of christian's house. then when inside vivian realises christian was testing her and then she allows christian to kiss her infront of her husband but doesn't say anything and accepts it.the dialogue if they have followed they would have understood what was happening from the conversation and the actions of vivian. there is small talk a bit later and hutch comments of christian and vivian gives hutch an admonishing look. then christian takes this as a queue and make a lame excuse to be alone with the wife...placing the bottle of wine in the kitchen. at this point vivian already knew what she had to do and sheds tears then goes along with the boss to the back yard. then after the dinner hutch keeps telling they should go home and again christian knowing hutch knows about the backyard pushes for the couple to stay the night which vivian agrees to saying she is big girl the 2nd time that night. the rest is like everyone know what happened. the sequence of events that i describe maybe a bit out of order but if you have read the dialogue and the reactions of the characters it just paints a whole different picture for the reader. that's at least for those who bothered reading and not jumping to the vivian is a slut reasoning.(looking at duke the torch bearer for that theory ;) even if it may be the best theory out there for now)
Though I also have some hope for a Vivian and Hutch redemption arc (as 22 years of marriage is no small thing), what you described would be a more fitting ending to me than many of the possibilities presented by others in this thread.
DA isn' the first to post this theory... it's just an addition of 2 different theories already posted in this thread. welcome to the the redemption arc team. very few of us here in this post.
I agree that Hutch is the least guilty. That's why I really don't get the fact that many commenting here would like to see Hutch suffer more and blame him for what is happening. Sure, argument can be made that if he were a more dominant man, then some or all of this might have been avoided. However, he is acting with good intentions, and prior to recent events, he has been a stable and faithful husband and a good provider for his family. Even if he can be perceived as being weak in some respects, I don't buy the blame the victim mentality that many have expressed in this thread. Any way you slice it, Christian is a scumbag who has engaged in systematic abuse of his employees and their families. I'm surprised that no one has reported him for abusing his power, though I suppose the victims would be ashamed of agreeing to sex acts for continued employment or other job benefits.
the last point you made about reporting christian goes to my theory and some other readers theories as to whose fault it was that the clients were lost in the first place. not gonna repost again just search this thread for christian being the cause for loss of accounts. blaming hutch and firing him since he didn't know he had a wife like vivian until she came to meet him the next day. which created this story. about hutch being least guilty and being more dominant...yes they can viewed as valid reasons for the situation but on the other hand vivian not following hutchs lead as she deos at home just goes to show vivian is more at fault even if christian seduced here. if she didn't go to the office christian would have fired hutch and vivian would be happy to live in a shed with her husband like she said at the end of the update. so any way you look at it ... the dev made vivians flaws and hutch suffering to be too obvious. and even in the sex scenes there are details sprinkled to show that.

PS: if you read this just for the sex then you will miss out a lot and that's what i have noticed when people comment on vivian being innocent or hutch being a cuck ;) . hutch is a cuck or some form of it like tony or someone mentions about the definition of it. and playing this kn just once doesn't do this kn justice as most will have missed out a lot of details that are talked about in this thread.

I hope Vivian faces some consequences too. For me one of the best ends for her would be realize that she threw everything away for a fling with a scumbag who just looked at her as a plaything. I would like to see her devastated by Christian making her his back of the bus hoe when he starts chasing a new, "Vivian." I would like for her son to turn his back on her when he finds out she betrayed his father. I would like for Hutch to move on with someone else. like Addison, and Vivian to feel the same pain at losing him that he felt seeing her fuck Christian all those times. I have hopes for much darker consequences for Christian. I still think all 3 are flawed, and I still think Hutch is weak, but I will give Hutch that I think he is the least guilty.
I think maybe minus the "Hutch moving on with someone else" part (quickly, at least), this is one of the most reasonable ending suggestions. The bit at the end about Christian does need something though, and I think (hope) that part of Hutch's resolve around the situation is because he either has a plan, or he's working on one. I think there is a high possibility of a bad end all round - Vivian loses Hutch (and maybe Sawyer), Hutch loses (pushes away) Vivian, Christian loses everything (either his business and any respect he has in the business world, or his life).

Hutch's plan there being to either completely ruin Christian, or to kill him. I don't know if I can see Hutch going so far as to kill him, but the situation means I don't think many people would be surprised if he did - the only surprise would be Hutch actually being able to go through with it (maybe that's Hutch's redemption - he puts a gun to Christian's head, after ruining his business, but then walks away, leaving Christian whimpering in fear, knowing that he's lost everything and has to live with that).

We know that Hutch is a numbers man and is being pushed in that direction (and away from sales) by Christian. Maybe that will lead to him getting an opportunity to either syphon all the business's money away, or to find and expose a load of corruption that brings the company down.

tell hutch she is a big girl
Every time I'm reminded of that phrase (all the more significant because it appears several times like a leitmotiv) I again think at the root of it all IN TERMS OF SELF-PERCEPTION is her firm conviction/obsession, that everything depends on her, that she has to deal with the perceived danger all on her own, out of her own ressources, that she must do it and that only she can do it or something horrible happens. "Big girl" means: there is someting demanded of her and she can endure it. It means: she is beyond those scruples of sensibilities and dignity, she can't afford them, can'T pay attention to them, there are more important matters at stake and Hutch should realise that, too and let her act. The phrase subtly shifts the problem from "should I do it" to "can I do it". She (for a long time in her marriage obviously) feels forced to be the "adult in the room" who deals with things and takes them into her own hands and doesn't realise how she degrades herself by that, she simply blends it out because of it. It's a mixture of entitlement/hubris and burden/sacrifice in that phrase. She gets off on and is stressed at the same time by this presumption of agency. And this self-image silences all thoughts about the consequences, makes her immune to it in the moment and at the same time lets down her defenses. (Or she clearly thinks she can deal with the consequences meaning Hutch's feelings in the same way, in terms of a managment of problems). That's the aspect which draws her in before the addiction to the boss starts. It explains this attitude of "I must" at the beginning (and that phrase veils perfectly how much the "I must" is actually an "I want" further down the line)..

other than hutch killing christian wasn't this theory already posted .... or was in parts at least. the only loophole to this theory is the dev said it's not gonna be the standard ntr story. can be any possible theory as the vivian losing everything is a standard ntr story and so is hutch losing vivian, so fingers crossed redemption arc for hutch(might be for the couple as well)
It seems to have a list of chapters also :
#A Husband's Sacrifice
#The Price of Love
#Shadows of Forgiveness
#Shadows of Silence
from the above quote we can assume those are the goal or overall view of the update ... so
update 1 = Husband's Sacrifice
update 2 = Price of love (vivian mindset update and what she is willing to do for hutch/marriage/job..........or christan)
update 3 = Shadows of forgiveness (hutch coming to terms with vivians choice of going along with the project and him trying to come to terms with it)
update 4 = Shadows of silence ( dealing with the fallout of their actions as the dev said update 4 is the climax not the end)
update 5 = epilogue (what happens after the climax) basically who ends up with whom is my assumption for this update or a resolution of the cliffhanger from update 4

*BOW* this is what was bothering me about vivian for so long... couldn't word it properly in my head so i stuck with the facts of the story...well worded and couldn't have explained vivian better. only 1 question to all this. mindset of vivian and hutch. will it change. im eager for update 2 and 3 just for the one reason. from update 2 and 3 we can delve even deeper into the characters and their actions. again nice explanation DB (y)

I am not sure wat is going to happen in chapter 2. We have a good idea of chapter 3 where Dev said the preview will take place. We know the purple dress, some fancy restaurant ( transparent dress ) and the party. WE only have 1 pic he said is from chapter 2 ... the bar. He did not say the pool pic was . So we a currently pretty much in the dark for chapter 2 ... unless he is kind enough to give us a couple more like the chaper 3. Some that do not give the plot away but still identify maybe an event.... The one we have, she is in a bar with someone we do not know yet. This is great. Hope we can see Vivian in different places... Like chapter 3. You know we will never be right !

I somehow admire the self-confidence of the dev in that he seems still pretty certain to surprise us with an unconventional ending and t leave us satisfied after all these debates and theories here. A lot of positive pressure. But he has every reason to, I guess.

The description is good. But when I look at both people, it's a dysfunctional marriage. You could almost say it's going in a toxic direction. Neither of them is good for each other anymore.
Vivian wants to hold the sceptre and the power over the relationship. Hutch ends up accepting everything, which is very noticeable and strange.
Even though I sympathize with him, Hutch comes off too well here.
I'm curious to see how Dev works out his views and actions as the story progresses.

as i posted before the more the story progress the number of theories we have for the ending will be less by process of elimination. since this is a linear story by the 3rd update we will most probably come to a handful of ending is what i believe.

Yes, and the best thing is that he has no pressure because the story is finished except for a few little things. Apart from a few exceptions, very few Dev have a finished story or let themselves be influenced by the community and rewrite it according to their wishes.

To be fair, he said of the ending something along the lines of "half will like it, half won't" - so he knows we likely won't all be satisfied!

Yeah, you really have to admire this guy. Downloads a first full release directly on this site with no expectation of money and it is a masterpiece. Puts 98% of other Devs to shame. The only issue now is managing expectations. Can the follow up be just as good? I think probably yes given he has stated the story is written. It may lose some enthusiasm from some because the subject matter is only going to get more difficult. I view this KN almost like Schindler’s List. Terrific, impactful movie…not sure I can rewatch it. The emotions between Hutch and Vivian are so raw. Just masterful storytelling.

The expectation is only our problem. the most important thing is that his own is satisfactory and it is.
So i think 90% of the readers here will accept it even if their theory doesn't work.
Schindler's List is perhaps the wrong category. Spontaneously, I can think of David Fincher, for example, with the drama
Gone Girl - The perfect victim
For me, the most interesting and fascinating thing is that the actual sexual act is almost a side issue.
It's a perfect balance. It's hard to explain, but it doesn't feel like a porn game. Of course, this can still change.

I don't think the dev will let it get " Like a Porn Game " He has a story to tell. Yes sex will be a part of that but I think every sex act will define the story at the moment. That,,, and he is ( so far ) masterful in his camouflage of the story and where it may go. We can only guess. I think it will be like this to release 4. As he said... some will be happy about it ... some not. But I think we will all here on F95 enjoy the ride !

I'm curious what Christian actually wants to achieve / with Vivian / with Hutch. Does he want to push her onto the path of total corruption? and He wants to humiliate Him ultimately? SC Stories started the story with a high C, and after the first chapter we are 3/4 of the way through other games of this type - so I really don't think it will stop at personal Chris's toy (mostly ntr games)

a few loose thoughts:
Vivian was never a fun girl, rather from SC's vision it is clear that she was very conservative (never anal, never blowjob after/in time fucking -she prefers "the classics"). Hutch tried harder but she didn't give him ;) - I think that's one of the reasons why it's so easy to get caught in a spider's web.new is always better, especially after 20+ya marriage. She quickly became a mother, and as Dealbreaker described it so well...
She is a really easy target for a spider

for now Viv is reluctant but submissive, in the next episode she will only remain submissive, and third ... willing

I don't think Hutch would go as far as to kill, it's too synthetic, and in this way he will lose together with Chris. As I said from the beginning - Sunday was the first day of his counterattack (what will be the best revenge - ruining him)

I think I'll play it a second time.........new observations, notes...two more months. how to live?In fact, almost all games have lost their flavor.

i will say i love reading all of these theories and opinions.. but at the end of the day vivian is a slut , hutchy and her son are cucks and now the pain, humiliation , degradation, and misery truly begins .. it may be sad but i feel this VN was meant to be an emotional pounding for the son and hutchy and vivian will be loving it more and more.but crying after about how bad she feels lol.

to me christian is a fucking bastard but he is definitely in contact with aliens and is planning an orgy where he wants to use vivian to curry favor with the martians because he wants their mind control weapons so he can increase his client portfolio. He therefore wants to use vivian's mouth and ass as a bargaining chip. I find this so obvious.... how come no one has noticed?
