That's exactly my point. I'm not the one talking about books and art and authors. My point is that in porn games you have to expect a different set of expectations, engagement and investment of people and therefore a different kind of disappointment, and that is what the dev gets and has to deal with, I think. And no, I don't think he has to change anything because of that.
I even think that it's not so much about what people like to see but what they don't want to see at any cost. Some here have stated that they wouldn't like the idea of Vivian sleeping with everybody and the mechanic etc. Are they not respecting his authorship in saying that? Are they like a child who want's to have his will? No it's because that would change for them the character-image of Vivian - including her actions back at the beginning and their motivations. They are invested in the idea that she is not a common slut like in other games. And they have read here, that this game is not like other games.

SC Stories seems to be an exception among devs, as they don’t use any crowdfunding platforms that connect them directly with paying audiences – platforms where creators usually receive feedback on their work. For SC Stories, F95 is the only source of feedback. There’s no Patreon (or similar), no Discord – the kinds of channels other devs often use to engage more deeply with their audience or readers.

Early on after the release of MHB, I fell into the trap of wanting to appease everyone.

Ha! Take that! Experiment part of the agony and anxiety you made us with your game!

Jokes aside, you really should stay put with your original idea. Any significant change may, and probably will, lead your story to a unbelievable or just plain stupid plot, ruining your game.

Now, it does not mean you should ignore some of the comments from people in the forum. They could enhance little details of the plot. One of them is giving more flashbacks. I know you said that you wont go into the full scene in the backyard, but that does not mean you cannot provide with some flashback from that particular scene and also from the couples's past.

Also, please take your time. Do not overdo it. We have so many cases where other devs tried and reach their promised milestone , but at the cost of getting tired from their game. I would prefer longer and similar timeframes for each installment.

Finally, I have to ask you. Is there any thing in this history related to a real experience you or your any of your acquaintance had?

Maybe we will get a quick flashback, or a picture or two, but that is up to the author. I am sure there will be lots of good drama even without a long sexy flashback. Still very much looking forward to the next update.

there is no need to explain everything. Did Tarantino show us what is in the suitcase?
Did Lynch explain to anyone what Lost Highway is about?

(I agree with your point, but in fact Lynch said more about Lost Highway than about other movies. Interestingly, he once pointed out that he got the idea for the movie from the trial of O J Simpson)

No, the original backyard/bedroom scene will not be extensively shown. Again, early on I was trying to appease people but showing it was not part of the original plan. It is addressed in a couple way in the next two releases but it won't be a fully rendered, retelling from Vivian's or Chris' POV. It needed to happen to establish the rest of the story. It happened quickly in order to get to the rest of the story.

This is surly a very hard news to hear and let me explain why .

While I agree this is your story to tell and most of others do too,that doesn't take away wanting to see your masterpiece a perfect 10/10 in everyway.

Imagine drawing the Mona Lisa but with a blurred face,that's exactly what it feels like,seeing a not complete painting.

Imagine the sex bathroom with Vivien but without dialogue it's still hot but not complete.

At no point here me or anyone wanted to see you change story or your visions, what we are asking for is let us see your vision clearly.

It's like making the ending scene of the game a confront scene between all three characters and then show us the meeting from the roof of the house .

A lot of developer or director add or remove things like dialogue or scenes that doesn't change the story they trying to tell,but they get ideas a long the way which enhance their story better and it's not bad thing.

The bedroom and the backyard scene are the main point of the story many people liked so much(am sure you can see from the different answers) why take away from people seeing your vision clearly,lets be real here no one imagined Chris saying the magic words and suddenly Vivien is sucking him, but we wanted to see him try and her refusing just to take it at the end same as the bedroom,those are a hot moments you put in your beautiful story why waste them ??

Why making a thing this hot rich of details goes to waste after you build a whole world around it.

AM urging you to rethink this, its really painful to watch a full beautiful painting with a big scratch in the middle of it, help us see what you have done in better way the way it deserves to be seen.

As I've already said, it's part of the storytelling process not to give you all the facts.
Of course I'd like to have more details too, but if everything had been said in 0.2, would we still be here, 3 months later, turning the story on its head?
Trust DEV to bring you the elements you need in future updates.
why is the bedroom scene hot? Because Dev only suggests it.
There will be more hot scenes to come.

I agree that it is to early to reviel what happened in the backyard. According to the Dev.,, THe whole story is base on it. I Think it will happen but much further down the road. THen will all say... oh well that explains why he or she did that ! Well done !

Indeed. I've been criticized several times for saying this, but it's best not to judge a story by what an author says. You have to judge it by what it shows you.

I had a professor in college who used to say that writers always lie. That's their job: Lie. And I think that extends to any storyteller.
