The First Wives ClubMaybe they end up working together against Christian? Vivian finds one of the wives Christian ruined the marriage of before (or perhaps more likely, she found Vivian), and they start plotting...
I'd rather sacrifice another soulThe sarcasm was supposed to get you to contemplate your greedyness, Luc![]()
Sounds good but the dev already said this story is going to get a lot darker and we will feel the pain, so I’m thinking more like Christian sabotages there plan and has a sex dungeon in his basement with a St Arnold’s cross and stocks to lock there head and arms in while he brutally fucks there assholes and maybe brings some guys from the office over to join in then takes pics and sends them to Hutchy, do you want to know what your wife did tonight?Maybe they end up working together against Christian? What's going on here? We're on the same page? Is that supposed to happen?
I know this is meant to be St Andrew's cross, no big thing, but this is just so hilarious to think of St Schwarzenegger and his fitness installations in this context...St Arnold’s cross

I like the Andrew Arnold cross, but it's only for beginners.Sounds good but the dev already said this story is going to get a lot darker and we will feel the pain, so I’m thinking more like Christian sabotages there plan and has a sex dungeon in his basement with a St Arnold’s cross and stocks to lock there head and arms in while he brutally fucks there assholes and maybe brings some guys from the office over to join in then takes pics and sends them to Hutchy, do you want to know what your wife did tonight?

Dealbreaker had a good take on the darkness being related to Hutch, and the descriptions in the script describing Hutch._____________________________________++++++++++++++++++++______________________________________
What most of us are forgetting is.... Vivian's kitchen pass from Hutch is only good for when dealing with the boss not:
*The Wunderkind, boy mechanic
*High school stud basketball player
*Grease mechanic shop owner
* and another yet to be introduced character **And I wouldn't be hurt at all if there is no lesbian action in this story
Also, poor old Hutch isn't happy with the situation regarding his wife and boss... So imagine Vivian thinking it's an all you can eat buffet. That would be darker, but Vivian discovering just how much she likes her new lifestyle, starts to turn on Hutch and not give a damn for any pain he'll go through

#The Price of Love
#Shadows of Forgiveness
#Shadows of Silence
I was thinking of 2 ways the Shadows of Silence could play out with Vivian showing a different form of contempt towards Hutch. The first, although I think less likely, would be her becoming openly hostile to Hutch. In this case she would do things like insult and belittle him to his face. The second, and I think more likely, would be for her to remain fond of him, and be pleasant in their interactions, but at the same time be dismissive. For example, I could see her giving him a kiss goodbye, and saying, "I love you don't wait up for me! I will be back tomorrow morning." with a smile while walking out the door in a sexy dress for a date with Christian. I could see Hutch standing there staring at the door a broken man after she leaves. The Shadows of Silence would be him staring at the door unwilling to say anything while knowing that he has been discarded as a husband. I don't like this type of ending, but it would not surprise me if something like this is what the author has in mind. I am certainly open to a better ending for Hutch, but my hopes are not very high for it.
I was focusing mostly on your comment about Vivian turning on Hutch. I am not sure if the author is going to have Vivian go all out slut or not, but the situation of Vivian giving Hutch a good bye kiss, saying she loved him, telling him to not wait up while they both know she planning on getting fucked all night fits with both Christian or any of the other guys in the story. I used Christian because we know she will be fucking him in the future, but the others are possible too. If she does go full on slut, that would certainly add a layer to how corrupted she becomes and how completely she loses respect for Hutch. My point was that her eventual contempt for Hutch could manifest itself as either open hostility or dismissive fondness. Both would be soul crushing for Hutch, but the dismissive fondness could in some ways would be a lot worse, as I think you agree._______________________________________+++++++++++++++++++++________________________________
I was thinking of 2 ways the Shadows of Silence could play out with Vivian showing a different form of contempt towards Hutch. The first, although I think less likely, would be her becoming openly hostile to Hutch. I can agree about 'open hostility' but Vivian becoming disappointed in Hutch and suffering in silence, keeping resentments to herself... that seems possible. Now I'll state for the record most women, their emotional needs outweigh most considerations, but women are human, and desire and instincts tend to get in the way. Each of the character's I named in my post are physically and perhaps more emotionally balanced.
In this case she would do things like insult and belittle him to his face. Or whisper silent disgust or think dark thoughts The second, and I think more likely, would be for her to remain fond of him, and be pleasant in their interactions, but at the same time be dismissive. Or be confused with disappointment for Hutch's weaknesses as a man and husband For example, I could see her giving him a kiss goodbye, and saying, "I love you don't wait up for me! I will be back tomorrow morning."Dude that is just cruel (it's saying like OK honey I am off to go get f**ked have a nice night) with a smile while walking out the door in a sexy dress for a date with Christian. OK... yes, I am being a little difficult and my jokes and points are not winning any points. But I really do agree with your ideas and all are valid. But what I was talking about was everyone ELSE but Christian. Vivian got the kitchen pass with regards to the boss... and Hutch is well aware. But WHEN Vivian finds more sweets other than Christian, it would destroy poor Hutch to discover she's with two high school kids and some BBC car mechanic. The landmine you are aware of isn't much a threat, but the others you are not that are a problem.
And I think over all that is what the developer is getting at... as painful as sharing your wife with the guy you are aware of, its the ones you are not aware of that are soul crushing... and since this is a corruption game, its Vivian's destiny. The only way the high school boys and mechanic will have access to her, is if she lets them and wants them... she might still love Hutch, but a stronger desire and pull most likely is the darkness to come...for Hutch and Vivian because for her, guilt and remorse will be her bitter tea.
So the opposite of a big bang, he gets kind of frozen out, she holds him in as a "friend" without benefits with pity and and a protective attitude (he can keep his job, she can guarantee that)? And he is in a permanent emotional stupor, the rest of his life is monk mode? Both would be soul crushing for Hutch, but the dismissive fondness could in some ways would be a lot worse, as I think you agree.
you're lucky you only have to wait a month. We've been waiting here since 23.01...Damn what an incredible game. It was definitely a horrible decision to play it this soon, waiting for the updates will be torture!
It's taking a very atypical approach that should not work on paper but the fantastic character work allows makes the whole thing fantastic.
Can't wait for the next update and I will offer up a prayer to god that there will be a "pregnancy" tag on this game before it's finished.
Honestly, I remember seeing it here back then and probably noticed it a couple of more times after that but it did not look super appealing for me.you're lucky you only have to wait a month. We've been waiting here since 23.01...
to be fair I think I played on 25.01 - I saw that the game had come out, but the title seemed so pretentious to me (WTF?)
I don't know if we ever really got to the bottom of why so many people like the game esp in comparison to others or to "the rest" (this is often stressed). In my opinion its absolutely not the sex scenes or the graphics or not even the characters (dev himself says they are not likeable). I think it's the brutal realism (earlier we mentioned the shock value), more precise: the honesty. Realism not meaning plausibility of events here but confrontation with the facts. The cheating here is NOT fetishized and it is not sugarcoated and it is (upt to now) not ideologized (e.g.: happy couple wanted to try something new they needed it and poly is the future of sex and everybody is satisfied and she gains freedom and self confidence etc.). But it is left standing raw as a factum brutum - with all possible consequences on the table and not immediately sorted out by ready-made narratives. I think this documentative factual quality is kind of the unique selling point here.Me, I'm counting on the dev to maintain the level of the story - because that's what attracted the large audience here, not just the fancy graphics.
Note that with such a high level of 5* reviews very few people from them, participate in the conversation.
