But Raffa is the only one destroying the marriage. She's the one who of her own will, dictates all her sexual interactions with Doug's friends. She's the one who, driven by lust, lets herself be carried away in sexual encounters. She's the one who finds more attraction in others instead of her husband. She's the one who shows no respect for her husband. She's made her sexual desires make her husband seem like someone she doesn't want to be with or doesn't respect. So, she alone is destroying the marriage.
Doug simply isn't protecting the marriage. I'm not going to say he's destroying it because he's passive, the active option would be for Doug to tell Raffa what to do in each scenario.
Stacy wants what she lost because she realized that someone like Bruce isn't relationship material for her.
She's just going to pick up what Raffa destroyed, which is her relationship with Doug.
But make no mistake, Raffa would be happy with Bruce as her partner.
Unfortunately, you're a bit off the mark.
Raffa isn't entirely to blame, the so-called magic pills and Bruce's manipulation also play a significant role.
I think Doug will eventually realize that Raffa is in love with Bruce, and he'll also eventually realize that his marriage to Raffa is just a faded promise on paper.
Stacey, on the other hand, could help Doug process what happened, and she could become his new girlfriend and later his fiancée.
Maybe they'll even get married someday, that would certainly be nice.
I think Stacey has known for a long time that Bruce is too immature for a real relationship.
I think Bruce somehow had Stacey under his thumb, maybe he lent her money that she paid back with sex after manipulating her.
It's also possible that Stacey was naive, stupid, and horny back then, and that the thing with Bruce started as an affair.
Stacy was probably ashamed that she cheated on Doug, and maybe that's why she ended the relationship. From then on, she was likely Bruce's bitch until she ran into Doug again at the club.
From that point on, her feelings for Doug rekindled, especially after she witnessed Raffa, Bruce, and Erick mocking and ridiculing him.
Raffa, by the way, isn't responsible for Stacy and Doug's breakup.
The story pretty clearly suggests that it was Bruce who stole Stacy from Doug, probably to humiliate him, and because Bruce was jealous of Doug.
Bruce probably believes Doug doesn't deserve such a hot girlfriend, and he feels the same way about Raffa.
He wishes Doug would end up with some obese nerd Girl, and Bruce would probably even try to seduce such a woman himself to humiliate Doug.
Furthermore, it's pretty clear that Bruce won't be in a relationship with Raffa.
He only sees Raffa as a sex object, and as soon as he gets bored with her, he'll find someone else, or he'll meet a woman who turns him on more than Raffa, and poof, Raffa will be left all alone.
