For those of us who funded the game and really enjoyed it the way it was before the loss of the prone scene is definitely sorely felt. I personally really don't like this. I get why he did it, but I just wish we had some way to get it back. It's not good. I would caution other people to wait and see how far the censorship goes before subbing now. We could lose more scenes if they keep pressuring, which would really suck, but is a real possibility.

You realize you could have been smart about it and just done what many others did and add the 'removed' content in some other way, people would not mind one bit if there were extra steps to get what they want, and still make it so that you're not in danger of losing your income.

I feel like that would still be risky if Patreon/Itch finds out that one of their products is inadvertently breaking the rules. It could work, theoretically, but where would they upload the "patch"? I'm not sure if F95 is well-known enough to their supporters to find it here, if it is uploaded here. Plus, you can't go around advertising F95 since it is a pirate site.

Some of the top games on Patreon like Superhuman, Pale Carnations, FET, and Desert Stalker have way worse content in them, but they don’t make their games bland. They know how to play around it.

It's exactly like you said. Some of the TOP games manage to get away with it. Electric Sheep is, unfortunately, not a top game. For Patreon, the top games which make them a lot of money are worth the risk of breaking the rules. At the end of the day, Patreon and Itch don't want to censor anything that makes them money; they're just being strong-armed to. The top games are totally worth any trouble; small games like this aren't.

At the end of the day, we don't know the dev's financial situation. We don't know if their Patreon is their primary source of income or not. It's not worth the risk of getting their Patreon banned and making a grand total of 0 a month, just to appease SOME of their fans. At least, this way, there's a smaller chance of them getting banned. And, even if they do lose MOST of their supporters (as a worst case scenario), they're at least earning something and have the opportunity to attract new fans. They can't do that if they have no Patreon/Itch.

Yes I have 0.7 downloaded and actively played the new and older version.
There's more cut content than added content. The new stuff is absolutely great, and I love that, but cutting content just isn't something I want to support. I've decided to unsub for now. I wish the dev all the best, but his project was one of the best ones and to see it censored so heavily is not what I personally want. I only hope he doesn't start going down the Futanari/Scat/NTR pipeline like so many others do for the minority of freaks who somehow find the time and money to fund that kind of slop.

I honestly really don't blame you for any of this, but I definitely hope that we can go back to having a relatively relaxed environment away from all of this super aggressive censorship that's currently going on. This game is genuinely one of the best out there in terms of quality and it just hurts all the more seeing it get hit with strays.

Not that I feel entitled to you making any promises, but do you think the game could be released with the original direction in mind in the future if this all dies down eventually?

I seriously don't remember some scenes being "non-consensual". I do remember the MC wanting to fuck the clanker right when he got home (without asking) but I mean:

A-She's was a whoah
B-It's a robot HE bought, so it's like an object. If I buy a vacuum cleaner and I try to fuck it, am I a rapist?
C- The clanker would always consent (even without asking), that's its prime directive, it would be like being arrested/charged with harassment for asking Google for some nudes, wtf.

If this is about the scenes where the droid was sleeping, then you could just add a scene before with the MC asking for permission/consent for those special cases.

I also think that the developer is too paranoid about the scenes with the robot in the game, I understand the changes with Yui, but I doubt that the game could be blocked for intercourse with a robot without consent, especially since these scenes in the game are not even violent

Fuck this dev honestly, I've unsubbed from his patreon ever since he changed the shopkeeper scenes for the first time (I think over a year ago) and I see that the game has even less content now with people defending censorship. You either have a vision or you don't. Just tell everyone that you only see this as a way to make money, and you don't give a shit about the story or your original idea. Go ahead and keep censoring for patreon, making the game worse with every update and expecting subs to raise somehow. You aren't a big company so you can't taunt your subs for long. If you continue this road, I'm praying for your downfall.

I think the issue I have is just how long it took for us to lose more content than we got. It doesn't inspire enthusiasm for the future of the project.
