Sorry that I'm one day late and that the render is pretty similar to the one from last year, I was pretty busy with fixing stuff for the upcoming release of the first prequel chapter (the pre-release is playable for all $5 and higher supporters by the way ).
I hope you amazing people and your families can enjoy the holidays and spend some time together! I remember that last years Christmas was probably the worst of my life given what has happened in 2023. This years is already way better regarding this and I'm hopeful that everything will start to get better in the coming year!

Another week, another progress update!
This is going to be a shorter one ( more or less )
Well, the prequel pre-release is out for $5 and higher supporters on the Discord and so far the feedback regarding the ending has been amazing. I'm glad I was able to "pull it off" even though a lot of you already guessed it anyway. Still, this means the first chapter of the prequel is "completed" and the only thing making me wait for it to release to everyone is Steam, since valve is still reviewing the game right now ( they already had an initial review but I left some things in there like "Beta version" etc, which I had to remove ). So basically, as soon as Valve checked the game and said it's good to release, I will release it on Steam. That doesn't mean I technically have to wait to release it to the "public" in general since it was never my intend to hide the game behind a paywall. It's more...If you want to support me on Steam and/or like to have your adult visual novels there, you can buy it there. It's 100% not needed though, I'm pretty sure you can "borrow" it somewhere else ( cough cough Discord cough cough ). But yes, I'm super happy I was able to complete the first chapter before the new year and I really hope that his will help ease the pain on waiting for the main game to continue. Todays render is Rei on the phone. I wonder with who...
Over the holidays and the completion of the first chapter I "relaxed" a little, basically only did writing for Chapter 4 of My New Memories again. I'm so glad that even though it has been almost 1 1/2 years without having access to my assets, that I can still continue to work on this game that means the world to me. I'm probably putting too much Anna stuff into it right now but I hope it balances out with the other girls as well - I just want her to shine, I guess, since she is my personal favorite ( I think by now I said that over a thousand times ). Still, I'm more or less back in full force in terms of work and I'm glad it still does it's job with keeping me occupied and to endure this super frustration and way too long ongoing situation. The main thanks for that goes to you guys, though, since the only reason I feel that motivated is because I want to deliver something as soon as I have my stuff back. Something that will make you say "Okay, it took quite a long time, but the wait was worth it".
I'm still working on Honey Select 2 versions of Sandra and Lucy and I feel like I'm nearing a point where I can say "Okay, let's show it to the people". My New Family 2 will be just as important as My New Family 1 is to me and I know that the visual difference between honey select 1 and 2 is huge, but I really hope that you guys will like it since Honey Select 2 will offer me more options to work on the game ( in terms of assets etc ). You guys will be the deciding factor in the end because I personally wouldn't mind to continue in Honey Select 1 ( the game would look like it did in the Christmas Special then ).
And I think thats it for now. Thank you guys so much for all the happy holiday wishes on the render I posted, I will make another post on new years eve where I will talk a bit more about everything! And if anything comes up, I'll let you guys know! Stay awesome!

We tend to overlook small flaws in people we love. They just make us all interesting. With Honey Select 2 you have more and better opportunities to show and express things that you want to show and express.
The characters develop further in the game's plot. This can also be reflected in the external appearance. Accordingly our beloved characters do not have to look exactly the same as before.
It was a risk from the start to include an unrealistic character with cat ears and look at the reactions of the players. I'm sure you'll get it right again.

Hello there you wonderful and very cute + sexy people!
Another week, another month, another year, another progress update!
All I can say for now is...Wow. I don't think I can put in words how much it means to me that you amazing people gave so much positive feedback on the first chapter of the My New Memories prequel. Trust me, I was more nervous than ever before regarding this release because I wasn't sure if you guys could end up enjoying this game as a "bridge" until I can work full time on the main game again. But you guys blew it out of the park and I'm so extremely happy that you guys loved playing the first chapter so much.
This means that there will be at least a chapter 2 and possibly more, I guess! While my focus is now more shifting towards My New Family 2, I also have a bigger focus on the next prequel chapter - especially with the huge reveal at the end. Todays render shows what happens after that, because as you know, Sabrina and the MC share a special connection and she knew that something happened that send the MC into a turmoil. He's going to have a longer talk with her while Rei is spending some time with Lea, since she cleverly invited her over to her house to check something out. There were so many ways I wanted to go with that reveal and I think I found one that makes the most sense. I can't spoil too much here but I really hope ( again ) that you guys will think the same. Keep in mind that the MC didn't see Anna for quite a long time already and now this happened, while he is head over heels in love with Rei. It's going to be difficult but the MC and Sabrina will come to the same conclusion. And like I said, I hope you guys will think this is the right direction as well!
Now with the big reveal happening at the end of the first prequel chapter, you can probably guess who the first girl of the prequel will be that also appears in the main game. Anna and the MC will have a casual talk about these things and I'm still going to do it in a way that even if you didn't play the prequel, you will know what's up. This is something I'm enjoying so much right now, weaving the prequel characters into the main game so that you can all enjoy them in the future.
I also worked a little bit on My New Family 2 again, but I'm more or less hunting for assets right now. I'm also looking for a person that can import the My New Family 1 house, that is in Honey select 1, to Honey Select 2. Let me know if you know someone!

I wish MC act less of a saint a bit. I get it, some get it worse, and all this big brother act, but he got pretty shitty life too. And he brush it off too easy. There is no way he grown some naive snowflake aka "Sandra"(don't get me wrong, BEST girl by MILE) with shitty dad and no one to look for him, and yes, he must wear tough face for his family to make them happy. But he show no signs of inner demons he couldn't not have. He's young man who barely grasp what is to be adult and recent suicidal phase, not a veteran psychologist with bulwark of willpower and self-countrol. Don't get me wrong, i like MC, admire his work of caring and curing, just wish he show more his true feelings, even if as regretful slip-ups. "You think i don't know what's it's like?!...Sorry..."
I get what you mean, definitely, but people handle things differently. I had (perhaps still has) a lot of demons to deal with, had a pretty fucked up childhood and youth, actually very similar to the MC. I handled it pretty similar to MC, as well. I did have a bunch of regretful slip-ups but usually only when drunk or on drugs. MC don't do stupid shit like that and i'm guessing the reason he don't snap or slip-up is because he manages to stay strong and contain himself. I'm guessing he found meaning and purpose in his life, his new family, and it helps him to stay composed and levelheaded, avoiding said slip-ups. Just a guess

I totally get you. Maybe he just such wonderful person. I don't say he should act like a dick. It's just his backstory and attitude don't add up to me much. Perhaps if there was more clear timeskip (to establish family influance)or more inner monologues, i wouldn't have such feel. I somewhat agree, his calm and composed demeanor doesn't always match the trauma he's been through. Just wanted to point out (orig. comment), that while highly unusual, it's not unrealistic or far-fetched. Some people, usually ones who has been through a lot, can get really used to the chaos and remain kind and in control, even if the world around them is on fire Definitely not the norm, though.
I really miss this game. I hope that someday there will be a sequel. I want to enjoy the emotional and funny moments with Lucy (little cat). I still play it even though I've finished it like 10 times. The story is really good. (I really need a sequel. I want more of Lucy and all the gingers.)
From the weekly updates from Killer7, we know that My New Family 2 is in the works, we just don't know when there will be the first release (dev is working on HS2 assets iirc).

Another week, another progress update!
Let's jump right into the games again, shall we?
Over the last week I got a lot more feedback regarding My New Memories: The Beginning and the overall majority of you amazing people made it very clear that you want more of it, way more than I imagined. And I can promise you that I will deliver that, no matter what. Initially I really thought most of you would say "Okay, this is nice, make it a quick little thing and as soon as you can work on the main game fully again, switch over and end the prequel" but after I read all the messages and comments I got since releasing it and you guys being able to fully play the first chapter, I think differently now. So I can promise you more content for the prequel regardless of the status of the main game - At least after I released Chapter 4 for the main game. That doesn't mean there won't be a Chapter 2 for the prequel before that, it just means that if I can work on the main game fully again, I will finish Chapter 4 before releasing another chapter for the prequel. I hope that makes sense. Todays render is Bethany in the living room, shortly after Rei left to do something with Amelie. The MC tells her what he learned about Rei and who her cousin is and it will leave Bethany just as speechless as you might think she is on the picture. Still, as the loving mother that she is, she just knows what to say and do and the MC will most likely follow her advice. You will know what I mean when you play it but I don't want to make the whole of Chapter 2 just about the MC thinking even more about Anna. I personally think you will like what I'll do there, or at least I hope so.
Since the release of the prequel update I also worked more on the main game again than I used to, which I really like. I read a few comments of people that were concerned about all the prequel girls eventually appearing in the main game and that the cast will get too convoluted in the end. I don't want this to sound like empty words so all I can say is that these girls will appear over a longer period of time, not in a super fast manner. I want to make it as organic as possible and while you will hear them being mentioned from time to time ( mainly when the MC talks to Anna, Sabrina and Lena since the other girls don't really know who they are ), but it will take some time for all of them to appear. The first one will most likely be Rei and that won't be until Chapter 5, for example. And I will still do my best to give all the girls as much screentime as possible and I think I found a decent way of doing so already in the main game ( which has a lot of girls already ). So all I'm asking is to trust me on this, I'm confident I can pull it off.
Regarding My New Family 2 I have more stuff to share soon, like I said earlier it will most likely depend what you guys think about the girls I show you that I made in Honey Select 2 if I end up using it or not. I'm happy with sticking to honey select 1 ( the engine I used to make MNF1 graphics ) or switch over to Honey Select 2, so it won't be an issue to let you guys decide. More on that soon, though.
And I think thats it for this week. I hope you guys think I'm doing the right thing regarding the prequel and that I want to make "more" out of it. If anything comes up I'll let you guys know. Stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update! Sorry, a little later than usual today!
Let's jump right into the games!
I'm making some good progress on the next prequel Chapter again and I'm still amazed by the fact that so many of you amazing people want more and frequent chapters for it. Really, I didn't expect this when I first started making the prequel, so seeing you guys enjoying it so much is a huge relief. Todays render is Jackie, sitting in the living room and talking to the MC. Of course he had to tell her about the "nuke" that Rei dropped, and she also has some good advice regarding the whole situation. Like I said last week, the MC is not the super confident Man he is in the main game ( or rather, which he will be in the main game again now that he got his memories back ), so he's scared to mess things up with Rei when he mentions what this reveal did to him. Especially since he doesn't know why Anna never mentioned the MC, Sabrina and the others. Maybe talking about it hurt her too much? Or she wanted to let Rei see for herself if she can spot them. It would make sense, right? Anna not being worried that her cousin ends up in the same city, not even mentioning that the love of her life is living there and literally going to the same uni as Rei. There has to be a reason for that and I think with time, we will find out what it is. I can promise you it's not something bad, but it's also the same thing why the MC never mentioned Anna towards Rei ( or towards Amelie later on ).
Okay, let's talk about the main game. I got an idea on a certain site to release a small "snippet" to Chapter 4, let's say, you have a scene with Sabrina alone in her apartment where you talk about this and that, maybe mention the accident and what happened in the hospital... And then they start to talk about something that happened in the past. Between the two of them. Maybe something lewd, even. And then I could transition this scene into part of the prequel, giving you a glimpse of something you might see in Chapter 2. I think you know where I'm going with this. You basically have current Sabrina and the MC having a talk, then they talk about something they did in the past and it intertwines both games. What do you guys think about that? It would be something you will see in Chapter 4 again once it releases, and I won't make it as painful in terms of stuff they talk about regarding Anna. Let's say this would last 10-15 minutes... Would you guys like that? A small refresher with Sabrina and then a transition into the prequel, including a bit of lewdness. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments! I know that Chapter 4 is basically the biggest hype right now, so this would be a very very small snippet of what you can expect there. Like I said, share your thoughts in the comments or send me a DM etc!
And I think that's it for now. Not much to report regarding My New Family 2, I kinda hit a frustrating wall there with character creation again ( I will get over it tonight, don't worry ). Please tell me what you guys think about the idea I posted above! And if anything comes up I'll let you guys know ( I'm still waiting for my lawyer, he should come back to me soon with an update on the case, since he requested an update on the case files in december 2024 ).
