That is a very much normal thing to happen, be it in stocks or crowd funding. The initial hype attracts a ton of "investors" followed by a (hopefully) stable and consistent growth with the occasional drops inbetween. But there is also no need to be act like it is all rainbows and sunshine when it is clear its growth is slowing down.
If you were familiar with the stock market you'd realize that what you just said is nonsense. No stock, game or whatever is skyrocketing with no end. What you want is stability and consistent growth without it plummeting over night until it's dead weight. It's not like BitCoin went from 0 to where it is now within 15 months either. There have been massive stretches of nothingness, peaks, drops... That's just how it is.If you are familiar with the stock market you will realize that patreon sheet you just put isn't giving the best signs.
There is a cap on everything, no matter what the product may be and any diagram I'd provide would support that. He isn't "stuck" either as the diagram I provided clearly shows. Even if he eventually reaches the "cap", stability is what matters most. And it is not about reaching to the soft cap, there are dozens of games whoich reach ten thousands subs, so getting stuck at 1300s isn't a great sign.
That just means it's taking it's natural course with limited demand like anything else. It just so happens that the demand is currently lower compared to other products aswell as other factors playing a not insignificant role. People not liking the content provided is obviously part of it, but the same applies to every other product on the market no matter how big it is.Gaining 900 subs in first 6 months and then 450 next in the remaining 6 means there are things which people don't like.
It's not like CG needs 50.000 subscribers for it to work out for him or 10.000 new subscribers every other month. Stability is key, and making it to the top 0.6% within 15 months is a major success. Bottom line: I highly disagree with your "bad signs" argument. You could talk about bad signs if the game happens to lose support, but certainly not when it's gaining more of it. lol
