Circle has said it from the start. He does not want to fit his project into a box with a label on it.Unlike other NTR/NTS game developers, I find CircleGames' approach difficult to understand.
Developers in this genre usually make it very clear what kind of game they are creating and who it's for. However, when you play this one, you get the feeling that the developer himself hasn't yet decided which path he wants to take.
The game doesn't offer a route selection like some others, where you can choose an NTR, NTS, Vanilla, or Revenge path. As I understand it, CircleGames doesn't plan to add this kind of variability to the game later on. Because of this, he shouldn't try to sit on two chairs at once. If he decides on a direction for his story from the beginning, he should stick to it.
Some might claim that CircleGames is making a game in the NTS genre. After all, it is advertised as one on the game's main page, and even people who helped with the development have said the same thing. Yes, that's true, but people's doubts didn't come from nowhere; they have genuine reasons for feeling this way.
The game has been in development for over a year, and during that time, it's possible CircleGames decided to "slightly" deviate from his original path. Well, as the saying goes, "your game, your rules." He has the right to create the game he wants, and no one is disputing that. However, if he has decided to change the game's genre, he should make it clear to everyone!
I am fully aware that this would cause a wave of discontent, but it would be the right thing to do. All those who have been supporting the game on Patreon specifically for its NTS nature would be, to put it mildly, disappointed. But I believe they are strong enough to weather this blow. After all, there are people who supported games on Patreon for years, only for them to be abandoned without even a small update. If they managed to survive that, then I'm sure NTS fans can handle this, too. I believe in you all!
Wasn't game tags NTR, NTS from start?Where does it say CG wanted to make an NTS game? I'm not trying to be contrarian I'm genuinely curious, because this is all I could find which would more match what he's trying to attempt imo.
Totally agree, just sit back relax and enjoy the ride, if you don't like it w8 till the game is finished. The only thing I do hope for now is there won't be no more violet balls cliffhangers(pun intended)Circle has said it from the start. He does not want to fit his project into a box with a label on it.
He wants to write his own story, and let his characters develop themselves where it takes them.
I believe that while the path may vary, he has quite a good picture of where he wants each of the characters to end at.
A lot of virtual ink is being spread in this thread, trying to make out what the genre or the end goal is.
To me it has simply been a fun ride from the start, and even though I'm not used to quite a few of the themes he's been playing with, I've enjoyed it so far and am eager to see where this all leads to.
I understand that a lot of you have not been as comfortable as I am in just sitting in the passenger chair and watching, but I would encourage you to try that approach, as it has really led me to appreciate this kinetic novel.
Devs are forced to attach tags by admin staff. Doesn't mean they have to strictly adhere to them. They're more like guidelines that give fans an idea of what they're looking at. Not a strict code like some people treat them. Which was originally the Japanese game fan base that kept trying to pigeon hole western games into the strict Japanese genres. I remember when the NTR tag wasn't even available. Games were alot more fun and exciting then, because they were unpredictable. Then some people thought certain kinks were being forced on them and here we are today, arguing semantics over game categories and people still being upset with tags and just can't relax and just enjoy or shelf a game.Wasn't game tags NTR, NTS from start?

If you have the patience for it, you can read through 50 pages of comments. I'd be happy to help you myself, but as you can imagine, that's not a quick task...Hello there, it depends on the relationships, for now only Eric and Vi are presented as a couple ( their focus will be NTS, meaning Eric enjoys the whole process ), but there will be implemented NTR roots on other relationships in the next chapter, Chapter 1...

But we are all, with a few rare exceptions, doing that from both sides. I don't think the tags per se are the issue. It is being able to know enough about this game to determine if it is something you want to play or shelf. Outside of that, anything released will garner the opinions of others. Stating your opinion is not an unhealthy thing. More times than not it is the reaction to the opinion and so forth that just goes down the rabbit hole. I can like or dislike the game, no big deal. I can like the game and dislike certain parts of it. No big deal there either.Devs are forced to attach tags by admin staff. Doesn't mean they have to strictly adhere to them. Agreed, let everyone approach it as they will. I can disagree with someone on specific aspects, does not make either of us right or wrong. Just how we see it. Sure I will debate my points from a position of being "right" but that is just how you debate points. If you have the patience for it, you can read through 50 pages of comments. And as for my comfort, don't worry—I have a very comfortable chair. I've already played all the NTR games on this site, and I don't have the habit of putting myself in the main character's shoes, so I don't have any problems with NTR games.
How other players prefer to approach these games, I don't know, but I'm not going to lecture anyone on how they should play.
Well, in CoM, the FL is the one who is corrupting the ML. It's kinda refreshing because mostly of these games are leaded by male corrupting their girls. It's quite niceAgreed, let everyone approach it as they will. I can disagree with someone on specific aspects, does not make either of us right or wrong. Just how we see it. I will end this by saying that the "tags" of NTR/NTS are not really what matters most to me. It is the tag of 'couple'. I am most trying to determine is this a game about a sexually adventurous couple or is it about a guy and girl who like each other and bang now and then. Is it to be presented in episodic form in which we have resolutions of chapters within those chapters or will it be more about physical/emotional cliffhangers (the old 'Next time on Dragon Ball Z') can consume either, but I would do so in very different ways. If you think I would or could have watched DBZ with 3 months between episodes you are nuts.
Currently I also play MoonRipple Lake and College of Misteria too. Both fit my tastes the most of the current new breed, though CoM is a completely different type of game. The FMC in both have gone further than Vi in a shorter amount of time. So it is not the sex with others that is a thing for me. It is how the couple is presented.
It's a similar enough situation with this game. It's really Vi with Ari's help making Eric open up about his personal desires that are in turn enhancing Vi's desires. This is the dev's first time so it probably won't be perfectly constructed but it's coming along well enough.Well, in CoM, the FL is the one who is corrupting the ML. It really wasn't that difficult to find. Basically his definition of NTS is that Erik enjoys it.If you have the patience for it, you can read through 50 pages of comments. I'd be happy to help you myself, but as you can imagine, that's not a quick task...

I don't think that's true at all. We just see the story for what it is. Vi has her own agency and Erik likes seeing Vi being naughty. That falls within CG's definition of NTS " as long as Erik enjoys it". It's clear their relationship will be more open than some people are comfortable with. Sometimes Erik will be present Sometimes not. Same with Erik sleeping around with other women. Sometimes Vi is there, sometimes not. They'll always be included whether in thought or text and at the end of the day reconvene and share the days events and deal with the repercussions in their own disfunction, yet sexy, way. It's continuously ironic that a portion of the people claiming he should make the game he wants really just want it to go more of an NTR direction with Vi specifically. Indeed, let him make the game he wants and that includes keeping Vi with Eric if he wants. Vi wanting to feel slutty doesn't require Eric being out of the picture. So, it would be nice if people stop acting like he's not making the game he wants if he doesn't end up making Vi ditch Eric.
I am not sure that all actually see that as the writing path though. Cause I think many would be ok with that, some will not, but such is the way things have laid out. And while there is still a chasm of nuance in even the above statement, it would be a definition many could decide if they want to consume or not.I don't think that's true at all. Welp sorry it didn't go that way for ya. Better luck next time. This isn't the love story you thought it was. I mean Erik was there in spirit and he got all excited by it anyway lolI am not sure that all actually see that as the writing path though. The recent chapter, at least to me. Was not about VI not having agency. It was about pivotal moments that should be shared. For me it felt like this moment was a big one that was not shared with the MC or the audience. That is why I felt that as it was constructed, fell flat. Does Eric or the audience need to be there live for all VI BJs...nope. For the first? Kinda, yeah. Same goes for her first full sex, and first anal with another partner. Also that all holds true for Eric too. VI was there for the first BJ. She setup the first sex (Though I would have much preferred her there and consider it a weakness of the scene).
Do I care about Baby's second and third step. Their fourth word? Nope, but firsts are firsts.
Maybe it is, maybe it is not. Hard to say because it does indeed seem the point is for Eric to indeed be there for the first. I would not say I have painted this as a love story though. Just stating my opinions on the scene itself and why I thought it fell flat for me. If CG liked it as it was. Cool. If they did not and want to change it. Cool.Welp sorry it didn't go that way for ya. Better luck next time. This isn't the love story you thought it was. I mean Erik was there in spirit and he got all excited by it anyway lol
I can really get behind this concept of NTS. It's all a matter of how daring and/or deviant they are, nothing changes if they enjoy each other's antics, at the end of the day. If they take their significant other along for the ride (whether in person, or in "spirit", rememberance, whatever) it's meaningful. If they don't, then it's just another boring free-pass anarchy.Vi has her own agency and Erik likes seeing Vi being naughty. That falls within CG's definition of NTS " as long as Erik enjoys it".
