I imagine there's a decent crossover between people willing to financially support porn game developers and people who easily form parasocial relationships with developers. They think these devs are their friends, and their "friends" would never lie to them.

I think I figured him out. He mentions bugs, lots of bugs. Maybe he literally means BUGS. Maybe he is just playing helldivers2 last few months instead of doing any updates.
Sadly we all expected it. He will no go silent for a couple of days and then suddenly release it, or he will release it but missing half the stuff he promised. Half a year for a hour or two of content
