Of course, I'm at my computer desk, my blinds are about 5 inches up from the bottom of my window, and it's so dark I can only see the light from the neighbor who hasn't taken their Christmas lights down yet ...

Hello there you wonderful and very cute + sexy people!
Another week, another month, another year, another progress update!
All I can say for now is...Wow. I don't think I can put in words how much it means to me that you amazing people gave so much positive feedback on the first chapter of the My New Memories prequel. Trust me, I was more nervous than ever before regarding this release because I wasn't sure if you guys could end up enjoying this game as a "bridge" until I can work full time on the main game again. But you guys blew it out of the park and I'm so extremely happy that you guys loved playing the first chapter so much.
This means that there will be at least a chapter 2 and possibly more, I guess! While my focus is now more shifting towards My New Family 2, I also have a bigger focus on the next prequel chapter - especially with the huge reveal at the end. Todays render shows what happens after that, because as you know, Sabrina and the MC share a special connection and she knew that something happened that send the MC into a turmoil. He's going to have a longer talk with her while Rei is spending some time with Lea, since she cleverly invited her over to her house to check something out. There were so many ways I wanted to go with that reveal and I think I found one that makes the most sense. I can't spoil too much here but I really hope ( again ) that you guys will think the same. Keep in mind that the MC didn't see Anna for quite a long time already and now this happened, while he is head over heels in love with Rei. It's going to be difficult but the MC and Sabrina will come to the same conclusion. And like I said, I hope you guys will think this is the right direction as well!
Now with the big reveal happening at the end of the first prequel chapter, you can probably guess who the first girl of the prequel will be that also appears in the main game. Anna and the MC will have a casual talk about these things and I'm still going to do it in a way that even if you didn't play the prequel, you will know what's up. This is something I'm enjoying so much right now, weaving the prequel characters into the main game so that you can all enjoy them in the future.
I also worked a little bit on My New Family 2 again, but I'm more or less hunting for assets right now. I'm also looking for a person that can import the My New Family 1 house, that is in Honey select 1, to Honey Select 2. Let me know if you know someone!
And I think thats it for now. Sorry that this is a shorter progress update than usual, I'll make sure to keep you guys posted on the other things that are happening. Thank you so much again for the great feedback! Stay awesome!

I was actually wondering which game's thread I should write this about, because it applies to both. Some time ago I decided that I would not download or play the prequel unless I finished MNM first. If it's still possible. I want to avoid it all getting mixed up. I was a bit dissatisfied when the MNM received information about the arrival of additional relatives. Now there is information about the transfer of several characters from the prequel to the main game. This doesn't seem like a good idea to me. With so many characters, the amount of work needed increases exponentially. And here I see three possibilities. Or updates will be very rare. Or the choices will have to be severely limited, which will make MNM essentially a visual novel. Or we will receive content with our favorite (preferred) character every ten updates (or less often). If I alone reduce the number of characters I play, I may receive nothing in some updates. Either of these possibilities will not have a positive impact on the game.
Finally, I want to wish you to recover your resources as soon as possible and get back to work on the main game, because it is one of my favorite games. It has a unique atmosphere.

Just my opinion, but my guess is that some of the prequel characters we will see in My New Memories would probably not be in the house or close of them while being here. They'll probably be visiting for a while before going back, so after a couple of updates, we will not see them at the same pace as the family.

Can I ask you an honest question, with no harm intended: why are you in this thread then? It makes zero sense to say something like that because 99.9% of the people wont care about statements like that...

I know this might Sound like empty words but I promise that im capable of writing all these characters into the game In a very Harmonic and good way. And keep in mind, it will take some time until these characters appear, you wont get all of them at once.

You probably havent read the thread, long story short: dev doesnt have access to his main equipment with all the models and poses in it right now, due to an erroneous accusation of crypto fraud which led to the police seizing his stuff. So he created the prequel as a way to keep working on something while his stuff is in limbo.
Also, K7 has had plenty of success working on two projects at once, when this one started he was still working on "My New Family", which he would just alternate what was getting worked on every release. So I am not too worried about K7 neglecting this VN to work on something else
