Just started playing the game, but early on I feel a really poor script quality, scenes feels really static and you see the author wants humor but it falls flat. Does it improve over time or always stay the same ?

I'm noticing how stilted the script is more as the game continues. Narrating every errant thought instead of having an action take place becomes tedious and stretches out the script to no purpose.

how are the sandbox elements of this game these days? I gave this shot like a year ago, saw it was getting remade or something, and haven't touched it because the sandbox element was minimal at best.
