Came across this dev when i played the other game he's working on, Undercover with Nora and found his style of writing interesting so i thought i would check out his own game out. Must say, even though its still in early stages, this is pretty good start so far and i am looking forward to more so i will keep an eye out for this one. Good luck to the dev with the project

There is a gallery for these envelopes/letters that you pick up. I haven't got the game installed at the moment to confirm, but I think they come under "letters" or something, and it's a special render and some text. I don't know if it's a section available from the main menu, or if you have to right click during gameplay, since some games have a slightly different menu available once a save is loaded.

Hello everyone! And a belated Happy Easter to you all!

Progress has been good over the last month. Finished an additional 2 scenes, which puts us at around 60% completion for the episode. Have some big plans to pump out another few scenes over the next couple weeks, so I'm hoping to get as much done as I can before the start of May.

In other news, I recently was able to acquire a deal with 2 other artists in order to use their music in the game. I may have said it before, but finding/adding music to the game is one of my favourite aspects, and finding music that fits each scene perfectly is a major part of development.

Oh, and there is a poll going on at the moment for Commander tier and above, where you can vote on an outfit for Maddy to wear in one of the scenes. It is currently tied, so if you wanna help be the deciding vote, make sure to subscribe so you can help choose!

Not much else has changed, at least nothing that I can share at the moment, but stay tuned for more!

Great start. I loved it. Scene where MC revealed the drama with the letters to the sisters was actually touching.
I read forum a bit and saw that all things bothering me were already mentioned (text speed, missing image and error in free roam kitchen). I'll wait to see more of this eagerly.

Apologies for the radio silence; it's been a busy month for me, both working on the game and in real life.

I do have some exciting news to share, though! At the rate I'm going with the Episode, I feel confident in announcing September as the release period for Episode 2! The dates for releases will vary on the Patreon/Subscribestar tiers, and I will announce those dates as we get closer to release.

Renders are getting close to being finished, and after that, all that remains will be to implement the renders, music and sfx into the script. After that, testing can begin.

I do have an important note to make, though. While Episode 1 was released for free, Episode 2 and onwards will only be available to the Officer tier and above. This decision was made so that I can pull back from my day job in order to devote more time to working on the subsequent episodes. Don't worry, though! Episode 1 will remain free for everybody to enjoy! I thank everyone who has been donating so far, it has already made a huge difference in this regard!

I will try to update more frequently over the next couple of months, as well as post another couple of teasers for you all!

Anyone else think the setting on this one is a little weird? Like they talk about how the plot of Home Alone couldn't happen these days because of smart phones. Is it really realistic that he falls out of contact with his family because his dad is withholding his letters? With actual photographs inside? Did they never send each other a single email? He never looked at mom's social media? People have been easily tracking down old elementary school classmates for 20 years now. And then mom has him go out on a job hunt... by walking around asking businesses. That's not how that happens anymore. Then he meets the security guards who look like cartoon looking tough guys and are there to pick up a cartoon looking safe. And not armed dudes with bullet proof vests like happens these days. And you know how important cash is these days... You need to keep it in a large, cartoon looking safe. And not the like, handful of envelopes that are actually used for cash hand offs to security guards these days...

I was all set to think this game is just set in the 90s, but then the MC busts out with a smart phone. It just feels like this game was made by a real old guy who kind of doesn't know how things are any more. And that's fine. I just think he should have bit the bullet and set it in the 90s.

Well given Undercover with Nora has been put on perma hold until their other projects are finished, hopefully Savinkov will have the time to work on his own more now.

Hey guys! Hope everyone has been hanging in there! It's been a while since I posted.

I know everyone has been waiting patiently for the game, so I won't waffle on for too long. I have some good news and bad news about Episode 2.

GOOD NEWS:

A month or so ago, I was secure enough in my financial position to quit my day job and go into AVN development FULL-TIME!!! Woohoo!
This is a major step for me personally, and while the majority of my income comes from writing for Inceton Games, it wouldn't be possible without the incredible support I have received from all my generous Patreon/SubScribestar supporters. I thank you all for this!

Episode 2 is coming along well, and we have recently passed the 1500 Render mark! Episode 2 in total is probably going to be around TWICE the size of Episode 1, so you will all have something substantial to bite into once it is released!

BAD NEWS:

This brings me to the bad news... I regret to say that I may have been a bit too ambitious with my goal of September for release. As helpful as it has been to be able to quit my job and work on the game every day, I still have quite a bit left to do. I've decided to move a major event that WAS going to be at the start of Episode 3 backwards into Episode 2. This was done as I feel the story would flow better overall with its inclusion in Episode 2. However, it is a large event, and I have yet to get beyond the writing stage, meaning that the whole event needs to be posed and rendered. I am sorry to say that I don't have a concrete estimate of time for how long this will take.

The majority of the rest of the episode has been completed, so after I finish this large event, I should be able to begin testing.

Overall, I don't want to set a definitive date for when it will be completed, as I'd hate to leave you guys disappointed. I understand that some of you may feel slighted by this, especially considering how long you have waited for it, so I apologise deeply for that. However, as much as it hurts to postpone, I'd rather give you guys a fully completed Episode than release it in chunks, or release it uncompleted. I have considered it, but I feel it would be a betrayal to the story if I were to go down that route.
