Yeah, I'm thinking this may not be for me. No choice about getting back with Björn, despite what the dev intimated it looks quite a lot like playing as a lesbian is not going to be an option. And that map is just terrible, no indication at all what you can click on. Clicking on random parts of the screen until something happens is not my idea of a good time. Emma is hot, as was the masturbation scene, but unless next update is better I think I'm going to drop this one.

Tried and and i have to say i'm not impressed at all,apart from the artwork which is really nice nothing else is appealing in this game,to much forced stuff,i cant think of the stepsister as a Li cause she's to much of a whore and fucked the guy you apparently like for whatever reason i dont know cause he's a total douchebag and the dialogue is a joke...the game concept and the artwork yes everything else no no and adding freeroam to what started as a VN is a really bad idea.Just my two cents.

I think you may need to look up what the word 'lesbian' means in English: 'doesn't like men'. If there's girl/girl with May and boy/girl with Björn, she isn't a lesbian.

Ah yes, I really like this in the few games that add it since it means extra art per character.
Looks like I'll have to keep an eye on this down the road to see if it is added.

Let it go man,the dev clearly doesnt know the difference between forced choice and free choice (it might be because of the language barrier) cause if he did he would give players the choice to spit in that guy's face and tell him to go fuck himself and not forgive him after 20 seconds... edit : same thing with the sister

Well, if I were to hit up a more constructive tone:

I of course understand that this is an early product and that there may be planned storylines which are not yet implemented. However there are a number of visible problems with the way things are being done which will not be resolved by more time alone.

The main issue with this game in previous and the current version is the writing, which varies between dreadful and so bad it's funny. I understand that English is not the dev's first language but they need to find some way to resolve the issue, whether it be bringing on another writer (probably preferable), setting up some platform where fans may correct the writing, or simply releasing the game in their native language.

The art is still quite good in my opinion, and later drawings probably look even better than the ones before. The game however does very little to write around the CG it has, and most images flash by with as little as a single line of text. Literally look at how any other visual novel does this.

Additionally, I believe the developer is too eager to implement new features when they should be focusing on fixing the core content. The overworld map in this version is one example, it's not very pleasant to look at, confusing to use, but most importantly it fills no purpose as there is only one place to go at this time. Clicking around at five different houses before finding the next thing to do does nothing to increase our immersion. It's easy to take on too much at once in your first game, and I would strongly advise TheOmniscient to focus on the core of this experience, being the writing and visuals, before adding additional components to the game. Then when there is a good base to stand on, and it might be desirable to introduce a dynamic way of branching stories, these elements might be brought back.

Hey guys, please forgive the long wait for a new version. I regret to inform you that I will not be continuing to develop "My Stepsister and I" any further. The criticism that you have approached me has reached me and I want to improve in all areas (coding, writing, drawings). For the story I have hired a better writer than I am. So together we want to try our luck in a new project and combine our strengths. I know that you don`t like it, if developers give up their games after one or two versions. But please give us the chance to prove ourselves. We have a clear vision for our new project and the first version will offer more content. Our new project will be released at the end of March or mid April and we would be very happy if we can convince you with it. First pictures of contents for our new project will follow soon.

Wow, we're glad to hear that someone else is interested in our project. Our development is making good progress. We can't keep to the deadline, but we don't want to make excuses like some other developers. It just takes a little longer. We are still trying to improve in all aspects and are currently our biggest critics. It won't be the game of the century but we hope that at least some of you will enjoy it. We don't want to give details about the storyline at this point yet. But we can already provide you with some teasers. Hope you like it!
