Information about the next release
Hello everyone,
I'm really sorry, but I unfortunately have to postpone the next version again due to private problems.
My mother had a heart attack. Under the circumstances, she's fine and I'm currently at my parents place. But I will be not at home until early January.
And besides I'm absolutely not in the mood to work on the game right now.
This time, I'll pause my creator page. That means, you don't get charged for the next month but you still all get the new version in January.
My creator page will automatically unpause on January the 2nd.
What the last months happened, all the delays on the game, was of course not what I had planned.
Everytime I thought, now I can continue with a new version on the game as planned, new things came up...
All I can say that I'm really sorry and I'll definitely continue working on the game! Of course, we all want to know what happens next with our sweet neighbors.
In the next post and on our Discord you'll find some christmas wallpaper that I've already prepared last week.
Just a little thank you, to all of you guys.
I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone celebrating and some random lovely, peaceful days to everyone else.

Hope we can all agree that the dev's mother's health is way more important than a new game version. Glad to hear she's more or less okay considering.

I hope the Devs Mom is ok and doing better, family comes before everything else and rest of the world will be here when the Dev returns to the game, so no worries there.

So your Christmas is ruined because you don't get an update of a game that you're getting for free because the dev has family health issues? Perhaps some self-reflection might be beneficial.
Hope things are doing better for Pandelo and his family though.

I wish we could give negative thanks sometimes... going by some of the posts I have read here over the past year or so, there are a lot of "entitled" people around... sheesh!!
I hope Pandelo's mother recovers well - I'm not a patron so he can get back to doing the game whenever he wants!! LOL!!!

Well, it wouldn't have been f95zone, if there wasn't a comment about how the dev is just lazy.
I'm actually pleasantly surprised that the Response to the sad News is overwhelmingly supportive.
That probably means that a dev can get a bit of cred if he does indeed deliver significant content over the years.
Of course I'm a bit sad that the release will be delayed until sometimes in January, but way worse is of course the failing health of pandelo's mother.
I hope I don't get similar news for at least a few more years.
If you read this, pandelo, my best wishes for your family, especially your mom and for yourself.

All in all there seem to be quite a few games which are running late or have postponed their updates until next year.
It's a pity, but what can you do. TBH, even if there aren't any dire circumstances, just like most of us, most devs will probably spend time with their loved ones and recharging over the holidays.
They are just humans after all.

As cliché as it might sound, I think Christmas is a big part of many of the delays. Game dev or not, the weeks leading up to Christmas can be really stressful (at least, they've been so for me and much of my social circle) and the time and energy you have to sink into the preparation for the holidays, as well as the holidays themselves, can leave you exhausted. Taking time off during the holidays is perfectly acceptable and, in my opinion, should be encouraged.
There will always be people who piss and moan about this and though F95 is full of patient and wonderful people, it is, sadly, also home to a number of cancerous turbo-dweebs.
I could understand if Pandelo had acted fraudulent, slacked on content, stayed out of touch or engage in other scummy behaviour (because there are patreon developers/artists/whatever who frequently engage in such behaviour), but he's been nothing but genuine and delivered quality content with each update... and he seems to work on this project out of a genuine desire to create a lasting product, rather than just shill for cold cash.
