Indeed they can. At the same time some could find solace from just the fact that they're there for their loved ones. Everyone's different so I hope that with all the crap that's flown Pandelo's way that he's able to find his solace in whichever form it comes and gets back to his old routine when things are better for him :)

We mark games as abandoned after 3 months of inactivity from the developer, so unfortunately we'll be marking it as abandoned in 1.5 weeks on the 15th.

Of course, if Pandelo comes back we'll remove the abandoned marker.

I guess I want to question something about the statement.

It said something about a new version being released on his Creator's page in January, but no update was every published here and no update was made on his Patreon ever either, so did that actually ever happen or was it just hopeful thinking on his part?

This game has on occasion appeared as one of my sigs..and it remains one of the very best on this site imho...i keep watching the thread and hope the Dev is ok and takes the time to he needs...he has put so much into this game that i cannot see him ever abandoning it...i've stated in many threads of games i love that i'm patient and will wait for updates to the high quality games such as this..so take all the time you need @Pandelo ..those of us that appreciate this game will still be here and ready :)

Damn me for allowing myself a little flicker of hope whenever this thread gets bumped.

It's a great VN. Easily top ten (or higher) on these boards, but I just hope for the best for Pandelo and his family, regardless of what that means for the future of the game.

In short. No, it didn't happen. That statement and Christmas pics are his last communication.

And yes, there is no other interpretation, than that in this post he says that he is going to continue with the game and will release in January, which will be available for December patrons. But sadly he didn't do so for some unknown reason, nor gave any further statement. That's why this thread has been giving him condolences for past 3 months assuming his mother is on her death bed, which I hope is not the case. Most people come here to press F to pay respects and be good boys, play guessing games, or misinterpret each other. But yeah, nobody knows anything, basically.

i hate to be that guy:cautious: but i think something has happened to the game dev, hear me out here... sure his mother has had some health issues which we more than understand and all that comes with it (taking time off to take care of his mother) but over 3mts without any word?? for all we know something has happened to the game dev for him not to take 15mins in the past 3mts to say whats up with the current situation or even say thats its still on going... well its that OR maybe the reason why the game dev mother got a heart attack was that she when on the internets (i imagine she only uses it for talking with friends and cat memes) and saw the type of game he was devloping and wasn't a fan, then he had no choice but to never make contact again:unsure:

again i hate to be that guy but this could be a possibility....

when my wife passed i mourned for almost 2 years(she was my angel) and outside of eating sleeping working i was basically a zombie...i finally started dating again boinking dames left right and center..but i understand a long mourning period as i was there myself...which is why he needs to take all the time he needs.
