I'd say Ch. 3 is definitely worth playing, personally. There's introductory content for Gabi who I'm very quickly loving, a smidgen of Helen content, and a good bit of Ana content. The truth or dare part goes well and, as usual, the chapter ends with a lewd between Ana and MC, without spoiling too much I'll say it feels REALLY nice. Flows well, the art is good, for me personally it hits all the right spots.

That said, my understanding is DTZ is aiming for a quicker release of Ch.4 compared to this one, so if you want to wait it out to see when that comes before playing, feel free. People who enjoy really bulky updates might prefer that way, but I don't care all that much as long as the quality is there and it's not egregiously short, and DTZ delivered those two items on my checklist incredibly.

The difference in complexity between Chapter 01 and Chapter 03 is significant, and you’ll notice it easily

Even so, I’d say Chapter 03 was an exception and took way longer than it should have, but I plan to do things differently for Chapter 04 to produce and deliver it faster

If each update are big, hundreds of renders, we dont have any problema waiting 3 months but tiny update in 2 months... Not good at all

The production time is very linear... If I create 50 images in one month, then I’ll create 100 in two months, and 150 in three
If the gameplay lasts 5 minutes after one month, then it’ll last 10 minutes after two… I think you get the idea

But a good update isn’t just about the number of renders! It’s also about good storytelling, passion, design, visual, sound...
I could show you dozens of AI games with thousands of renders that are still pretty bad

These key aspects have improved significantly in v0.3. The story has progressed, and the chapter is entertaining, erotic, and suspenseful. At least, that’s what I think, and the feedback I’ve been getting confirms it!

Maybe add something like the dog is sick or something so it can't be left alone for a long time? Leaving for an emergency like he did for Ana and Hellen setting him up would still be believable, but the overall premise wouldn't be so forced if there was a reason the dog couldn't be left alone for a long time.

I really don't think there's much need to keep discussing alternative solutions for taking care of a dog in a fantasy world, but alright…

The MC wasn’t forced to take care of the dog. He chose to. He chose to take on that responsibility. Later, he also wasn’t forced to go to the party and leave the dog at home. That was his decision too

My True Desire is told from the MC’s perspective, and not all of his decisions will be the smartest, and not all of them will make sense to you

For those who’ve watched You, I like to think of MTD as being told through Daniel’s perspective, just like we experience You through Joe Goldberg’s. I don't think any of Joe's decisions make sense!

Frankly I don't mind waiting a bit longer time to have longer contents, best do a poll on patreon about it to see what people want. Do both a paid poll and a public poll, so you can see what everyone wants and what your paid consumers want. And obviously try to gravitate towards what your paid users want. Even though I am not a paid user I know the paid users help contribute to this game a lot. Thanks Patreons.

I actually ran a poll about this back when I started my Patreon, and people voted for smaller updates released more frequently! I’m aiming to keep updates within the 8-12 week range (2-3 months), with a length similar to Chapter 2. Chapter 3 ended up going a bit over... it took 14 weeks and ended up being about twice the size of Chapter 2.

But in the end, I think what really matters is the final result, you know? If it’s worth waiting a bit longer for better content, then so be it. If it’s better to release a smaller chapter to wrap up an arc and move the story forward, that’s fine too!

8-12 weeks might sound like more than enough, but in reality, it probably is not. even 14 weeks might be tight for those juggling stuff like this while doing a 9-5 job.

as for polling that says "frequent updates, please!" that's probably gonna be typical for patrons who want to see results right away, a situation that doesn't necessarily coincide for what is best for game development.

Great artwork! I loved it. I think my style will probably never be fully replicated... it’s just too complex, with lots of steps, and I also use Photoshop. But with enough effort, I think it’s possible to get close. Personally, I enjoy seeing the characters in different styles

That’s something only time will tell, since I don’t have enough experience yet to say for sure. But for Chapter 04, I’ll have a much more consistent production routine, so I’ll be able to clearly see how much I can actually get done. In the end, those goals of releasing something in X amount of time are just... goals! What really matters is delivering quality content, no matter how long it takes. Chapter 03 was a great example of that. It was supposed to be released in 10 weeks, ended up taking 14, and it was totally worth it!
