I figured most of the authors were creating their own music or at least using an AI music platform.

I have yet to see any AVNs make their own music; the closest I've seen is one dev commission a song from a musician, but that was for a special track for one of the characters and not BGM. AI music will be seeing an uptick in usage now, but most devs license tracks from music libraries; I don't know which platforms. I've used AudioJungle for my job, but I'm not sure if they allow their tracks to be used in NSFW works or not, which is another reason why AVN devs are moving towards AI music.

So, while I really like where this game is going so far (both the visuals and writing), I did notice that one of the BG audio tracks is a near exact rip from another very popular visual novel. I'm sure there's some grey area as neither are retail games, but it's not a great look.

It's the same song. We usually find these tracks in royalty-free music libraries, and it just so happened that we chose the same one. That's the same reason you probably hear

Before one of the games I worked on as an artist was released on Steam, I decided to change the entire soundtrack due to copyright issues. When updates were released on Patreon, I used royalty-free music from libraries, but I wasn't sure how Steam would handle that. Since I've been making music myself for a long time, I decided to write a few tracks specifically for our game and also release the soundtrack on Steam. You could consider this an example of a developer creating their own music for their game, haha.

I haven't yet learned how AI-generated music is regulated by laws or gaming platforms, but it's an interesting and promising topic nonetheless.

By the way, you have a great project, DTZ Games – excellent visuals and storytelling! Congratulations!

Thanks for replying, and I appreciate the transparency. The space for these types of games feels so small (2D, NTS VNs) at the moment that it's difficult not to notice similarities.

Damn i was so excited to play this after seeing the screenshots, the ai art actually looks really good. But the whole story revolving around the mc being a cuck really ruins it im so disappointed... I hope the next game you make is a different kind of story! The game feels good to play, and seems high quality, so I'm sure id love a another release from you with a different kind of story!

Its a ever growing market though. Especially if that swinging tag holds up and mc becomes more then just a cuck, preferably with his little nerdy friend. Shes my #2 in the game lol

If the art is sufficiently hot, people don't care.

Also, there's a difference between genuine NTR (which can be rapey or involve a lot of humiliation) and consensual sharing which is far more popular. I suspect it should be relatively easy to cater to both groups with a relatively small dialog change(they agree to have her 'cheat' vs. girl cheats against MC's wishes), but I'm too sleep deprived so in conclusion make more game, more fast and more hand holding thank you.
