Nice game played it through from the beginning, but maybe skipped a bit too much dialogue in places so made it a bit tricky with understanding what you needed to do towards the end and I did a lot of grinding on lower level guests but it did mean it was easier in the long run. Didn't understand the hidden items in the attic or lake but it didn't make a lot of difference to stats.

This developers games are really well made, and they don't seem to go off piste trying to add loads of features that never get finished. Yeah some of grinding was bit dull but overall didn't bother me too much. I'll try midnight Sin when it's further along.

It is almost done, we are hoping to be finished around the new year, give or take.

We thank you so much for the kind words. :)

Folks, quick question about the incest patch.

I'm not a big fan of it, but I'm not so wound tight that I can't tolerate it. So purely from a reading experience, which way does the game come off better? With or without the patch?

I played without the patch for a bit, and while Dad's girlfriend angle seems plausible, the whole "neighbor living with us cause her parents went off to Europe" comes off a bit far fetched

Either way, just hoping to know what the general consensus is.

While we don't endorse the patch, it makes almost no difference beyond the intro there.

While Midnight Sin is a great game, I really thought this one was peak. I know it's kind of a hot take with the management aspect but I thought the mixture of genres and Faerin's art style and animations is excellent. I hope that there is a Mystwood Manor 2 including extensions of the "family"

While I do totally agree to this, I honestly believe the chances of getting a MwM 2 game are almost non-existant. It seems that a sizeable amount of the AVN player base is not comfortable with sandbox/management games. So it woudn't make much sense for the developers to invest their time and resources in a somewhat niche game, that would provide very limited income returns for them.

Dont get me wrong, I'd kill for another MwM game. It was so refreshing, precisely because it's so different from the traditional click-to-fap games. And well, visually the render quality and the LIs are beyond awesome. The only small grip I have with the technical aspect of MwM are the blowjob animations. The mouth deformation is quite offputting. That's something that Faerin inherited from MotH, and is still an issue in Midnight Sin.
But outside that, MwM is still the AVN I've replayed more times, by far.

Folks, Linux user here. Playing the game through WINE and it's working just fine. I do have a curious question for those on Windows:

Does the animations play continuously for you folks as well? Or is the animation just playing once and then stopping is the default behavior in game? Just curious if something is off on my end or is it nothing.

As long as you do not continue, they play continuously on my end (PC + Mac).
Thank you for confirming that. It seems something is off with WINE. The animation only runs once and then stops. Something might be off with the Animator State logic that works fine on Windows, but breaks when going through WINE. Oh well, good thing I'm not playing the game just for fapping, so not all is a disaster.

You can try downloading the K-Lite Codec pack from here:
This is the standard pack which is usually sufficient. Just select one of the download servers (1 - 3). This MIGHT fix the problem.

Please don't forget that playing it via WINE is not supported by the developer and we cannot ensure you won't encounter any other problems in your playthrough.

...

Here is a link to a fan-made family-friendly patch just download it and copy it into the main Mystwood Manor folder

Is there a way to modify/tweak the patch so Julia remains dad's girlfriend but Amber becomes the MC's sister?

I just finished it completely a few days ago, and it's a great game. The animations are brilliant, and the gameplay is very entertaining and intuitive. It's a nice touch that it has the multilingual option.
