Shrugs. Nepotism? lol He's close to the Presi and banging the leader of the Holy Light Guild.
Yes, but that's only the information the player knows.
None of the guild leaders (except Alesia of course, though even she doesn't know about MC being close to Yuka at this point) knows about it and should have called out Albert on it with "Why is this random dude being here with us, in this meeting of guild leaders and association?"
Honestly it didn't bother me because they mentioned they were gathering power players and he is quite powerful.
If by powerful, you mean compared to all the lower ranks (B, C, D, E)?
Sure. But compared to everyone gathered? Nope.
MC is hopelessly weak compared to all the guild members.
3 of the guild leaders, Alesia, Cain, Rick are all S ranks, and I'm assuming the "unknown" leader is around the same rank too, despite nothing's been said about him yet - given it's his first appearance and not even his name is given.
And it's been said before by MC that the difference between and A rank (which is what MC is at this point) & S rank is so far apart given he was no match for Alesia in their training despite reaching A rank (and she was really taking it easy on him).
Also, another example which explains it is that Albert (vice president, a very strong A rank), being hopelessly outmatched by Noah, who ended up being a hidden S rank.
It's like putting a lightweight against a heavyweight in boxing or MMA.
Besides, if solely being an A rank is what qualifies in being included in that meeting then why not just bring in every single A ranked slayer to it? Like Nina (who despite being a tank is also a A rank) and whole bunch of A ranks who is registered with association already.
Of course, Albert who is there, is an A rank, but he's an exception given he's the vice president and "face" of the Association lol.
I assumed that his presence there is about their intentions for his future. In other words he might be playing a more active leadership role in one of those joint task force units they're putting together.
In order to be playing a leadership role, he would need experience in leadership.
Dude has pretty much zero leadership experience, let alone he's not even in a guild yet lol
So why would anyone even choose to follow a...... nobody?
If it really is the dev's plan to take on a leadership role, then honestly, it's not very well thought out.
He really should have started off with first some of the guild leaders questioning why MC (who in the eyes of Cain, Rick, "unknown" is noone important) is even in the meeting in the first place, then after Albert explains the reasoning, should have had MC be somehow taking an active role in the strategy or something.
Yet, in the meeting he takes a more passive role in dialogue and even the whole discussion of strategy is skipped with "One hour later" cut to black screen.
