Bitch, these cliffhangers will soon make me go crazy, like how the fuck will the MC get out of the situation this time? A fucking archangel will come to him or something?![]()
Noticed that too. It would have made sense if the mc had something to share or at least had done something noteworthy during the attack.Just finished Chapter 9, and I thought it was decent.
Though one scene made no sense to me:

Yeah, it made no sense that he is there or that no one questioned why a nobody like him is there.Just finished Chapter 9, and I thought it was decent.

I do not think it does not make sense if you think the events during the game!Yeah, it made no sense that he is there or that no one questioned why a nobody like him is there.
If he would be a powerful S-rank or had important information that would be one thing, but he has neither of that.
There was also his little suicide stunt at the begining which was just so fucking dumb...
The group he was with was rather rather good from what i remember, also good balanced tank, healer etc they weren't outnumbered, nor was the enemy especially strong or anything...it made like zero sense to do a dumb suicide stunt like he did...
Even if all of that is true, it still doesn't make sense to have the MC at this meeting.I do not think it does not make sense if you think the events during the game!
Well i mean the game has a harem tag so i dont think thats gonna be an issue lolMC's suicide wish appears on his relationships also.
I'm playing as total manwhore, going after every woman in the game and I can see future scene:
MC: Hello, girlfriend. Let me introduce you to my girlfriend
And when the fact is that most of them are superpowered and stronger than MC...
Let's hope dev can handle harem better than his previous game. At least he learn and keep harem size down to 6 girls, also dude got the MC OP power and only got the girls cum onceWell i mean the game has a harem tag so i dont think thats gonna be an issue lol
Shrugs. Nepotism? lol He's close to the Presi and banging the leader of the Holy Light Guild.Just finished Chapter 9, and I thought it was decent.

Yes, but that's only the information the player knows.Shrugs. Nepotism? lol He's close to the Presi and banging the leader of the Holy Light Guild.
If by powerful, you mean compared to all the lower ranks (B, C, D, E)?Honestly it didn't bother me because they mentioned they were gathering power players and he is quite powerful.
In order to be playing a leadership role, he would need experience in leadership.I assumed that his presence there is about their intentions for his future. In other words he might be playing a more active leadership role in one of those joint task force units they're putting together.
Yes, but that's only the information the player knows.
None of the guild leaders (except Alesia of course, though even she doesn't know about MC being close to Yuka at this point) knows about it and should have called out Albert on it with "Why is this random dude being here with us, in this meeting of guild leaders and association?"
That was a joke comment. Don't take it too seriously. Although I know from experience that it's not unusual in business meetings of the highest levels for there to be people who are at a much lower level because they are assisting or taking notes or something. That was the explanation the VP was giving for Yuka's presence.
If by powerful, you mean compared to all the lower ranks (B, C, D, E)?
Sure. But compared to everyone gathered? Nope.
MC is hopelessly weak compared to all the guild members.
3 of the guild leaders, Alesia, Cain, Rick are all S ranks, and I'm assuming the "unknown" leader is around the same rank too, despite nothing's been said about him yet - given it's his first appearance and not even his name is given.
And it's been said before by MC that the difference between and A rank (which is what MC is at this point) & S rank is so far apart given he was no match for Alesia in their training despite reaching A rank (and she was really taking it easy on him).
Also, another example which explains it is that Albert (vice president, a very strong A rank), being hopelessly outmatched by Noah, who ended up being a hidden S rank.
It's like putting a lightweight against a heavyweight in boxing or MMA.
Besides, if solely being an A rank is what qualifies in being included in that meeting then why not just bring in every single A ranked slayer to it? Like Nina (who despite being a tank is also a A rank) and whole bunch of A ranks who is registered with association already.
Of course, Albert who is there, is an A rank, but he's an exception given he's the vice president and "face" of the Association lol.
I'm not sure why that matters. We're not talking about a dual between slayers but rather a planning meeting. The fact that the VP is A level as you stated only supports my point that the MC is powerful. A is the second most powerful level.
In order to be playing a leadership role, he would need experience in leadership.
Dude has pretty much zero leadership experience, let alone he's not even in a guild yet lol
So why would anyone even choose to follow a...... nobody?
If it really is the dev's plan to take on a leadership role, then honestly, it's not very well thought out.
He really should have started off with first some of the guild leaders questioning why MC (who in the eyes of Cain, Rick, "unknown" is noone important) is even in the meeting in the first place, then after Albert explains the reasoning, should have had MC be somehow taking an active role in the strategy or something.
Yet, in the meeting he takes a more passive role in dialogue and even the whole discussion of strategy is skipped with "One hour later" cut to black screen.
I get your point. I'm not saying that the dev couldn't have done it better. No actually explanation is given specifically for the MC's inclusion so I'm speculating. Nevertheless I think it's a stretch to say he's a nobody considering he beat a powerful S rank in one on one combat and has been involved in containing or shutting down multiple rogue portal situations at this point.
Albert in that scene was pretty much making a excuse (or talking out of his ass) covering for Yuka.Although I know from experience that it's not unusual in business meetings of the highest levels for there to be people who are at a much lower level because they are assisting or taking notes or something. That was the explanation the VP was giving for Yuka's presence.
lol you do realize you were the one who brought the subject up saying MC is "quite powerful"?I'm not sure why that matters. We're not talking about a dual between slayers but rather a planning meeting. The fact that the VP is A level as you stated only supports my point that the MC is powerful. A is the second most powerful level.
From what I remember he never beat a S rank.Nevertheless I think it's a stretch to say he's a nobody considering he beat a powerful S rank in one on one combat
Albert in that scene was pretty much making a excuse (or talking out of his ass) covering for Yuka.
And even that excuse wasn't good enough for Cain (and other guild leaders for that matter) so it forced Yuka to reveal her identity.
And I'm gonna repeat what I said in my original post; MC being there literally had no value whatsoever with the meeting, in terms of what was seen.
Alesia's explanation of Noah leading MC into a trap could have been 100% explained without MC being present.
Hence, there wasn't even really a assist or help which MC provided. He was there just for the sake of being there lol.
lol you do realize you were the one who brought the subject up saying MC is "quite powerful"?
You were talking about S ranked being able to defeat A rank in combat. hence why I'm saying I don't see the relevance.
And I've already mentioned that Albert is an exception cause despite being only A rank, he's the Vice President. He has to be there to cover for Yuka as face of the organization (basically, politics lol).
Even if the Vice President was not A rank like Albert, and was just a much weaker rank like B rank or even lower the VP would have required to be present solely due to his position.
Besides, you never addressed my point as to if being A rank is enough to be included in these meetings, what makes MC the exception and excludes all the other A ranks slayers out there?
Even as A rank slayer it's not like MC has done any outstanding or noticeable feats for other guild leaders to pay attention to him.
Not to mention he wouldn't have been the only A ranked slayer fighting against the Phantom Grinn through all the crisis.
I'm not the Dev. I can't give you an answer to every issue you have with the scene. In any event some A ranked slayers died and others might still be injured. Regadless of who is available, it's up to the Association to decide who they are inviting as they are the ones hosting and chairing the meeting. They wanted him there.
From what I remember he never beat a S rank.
Only slayer he beat in a duel was Damian (Cain's brother), and Damian was A rank, and MC moved up to A rank from previously much lower rank after beating him.
But I'd say calling MC "quite powerful" is really reaching cause difference of power between A rank & S rank is so far away.
And honestly? Even with A rank, I'd say he's somewhere in the middle or even lower tier from what we've seen him do so far.
So sorry, but MC is still basically a nobody in my eyes and regardless of how I look at it, him being present in that meeting was well nonsensical to say the least.
That's your perspective and you're entitled to it. We'll have to agree to disagree generally. I don't care about the issue that much. I was just giving some possible explanations.
