Of course not at all. There is a theme of possession in both games, in SA they make a deal out of girls being "his girls"; in this one, even with how short it is, there are quite a few lines of dialogue talking about how the girls would be with him and let him be with others, not themselves with others.
To mix them together in such a way where one of those girls is blowing the two characters means that line is blurred. That they show up in both games is a non-issue but blurring that line seems to break that established theme.

Though they are probably the same characters they probably aren't exactly the same as individuals, much in the same way that Golden Age Superman and modern comics Superman aren't the same exact individual though they are both still Superman.

Besides the differing continuities/universes between the two games here kind of makes the 'breaking of established themes' a moot point/non concern in my opinion.

This may be an overly cynical question, but is this a proper game, or is it mainly a way for the developer to keep his patreon, now that his other (and much more popular) game has been thrown of the platform?

It probably plays a part... I honestly don't remember it right off the top of my head, but I didn't delete it... so I probably didn't hate it? I'm usually pretty quick on getting rid of games I hate or can't get into. I made a point at the time of following it, so beats me.

Not much to really go on.... give it a try?
