The thing is, like I said before. The game is so painfully outdated (in terms of graphics, mechanics, and art style) because of how long it takes them to complete the game. And rather than focusing on completing the game and finishing each of the girls' story arcs, for some reason, they keep adding new girls to the game.
As for the games graphics and such, unless there is a release of a new update for the program used at the beginning, with most devs that will be what you have for the entire game.
Often, because it is the only program that they know how to use.

The way that I look at it is that if a person is downloading a game for free, they have nothing to complain about.
Abandoned games and so-so graphics on here are extremely common.
One dev on here by the name of Belle had a fun game, but by the time the dev was halfway through the game, even the dev was complaining about the limitations of the software used for creating the images.

People having real life problems cropping up that screw with games release dates happen too.

Just be patient, and if the dev returns, great!
If the dev does not return?
There are plenty of other free games on here to play.

If the person is a subscriber to the game, then nothing is stopping them from pausing payments during a period when the dev may be having issues in real life.
just like playing the games, subscribing to a game is hit and miss.
Some games get finished, some never do.
Pausing or stopping your payments stops you from losing too much money, and you can always start the payments again, if the dev does return.

Hey everyone,

Development on v0.23 has finally begun to start up again after a long period of delays.

I am still very much committed to completing Mythic Manor and am sorry that the delays have been so massive recently. I really appreciate everyone who's been sticking around all this time and still looking forward to the new versions.

If you have any suggestions on what characters/storylines you'd like to see new content for most, it'd be greatly appreciated as it's been a bit overwhelming getting back into all of this and choosing which girls to work on (although I already have some in progress).

I'll post another update as development continues, but right now I can't say exactly how long it's going to take to finish v0.23, but I'm aiming for just after the holidays as I will be a bit busy later this month.

Cheers,

Jikei
Absolute bullshit. The staff must mark this project as Abandoned. If, in the coming years, there's some sort of update, they can remove the tag, but it's stupid to pretend reality is not what it is.

The work on 0.23 has started up again? That's crazy. I love the characters (Fanora especially) but goddamn. I'll be dead and buried by the time it's finished at this rate. This was one of the first I've ever played and whole games have come and gone in the time since.

I liked the game when I found it earlier, and it had some nice art then, as well as a story.

Yet 7 years later it's not done, it's going to continually be outdated, and as long as they keep delaying work and a release, as well as completion, it will just get continually outdated.

Well, as long as retards continue fuelling them via their Pateron, this whole f*ckery will keep happening. I've literally mentioned before many times prior that this deserves an 'Abandoned' tag, and that the 'dev' had simply been milking people for their money (I've mentioned this back when I was still a patreon back 2-3 years back).

Their updates started from monthly, to every quarterly, then half a year, then almost yearly for the most 'recent' update. This happens as more people subscribed to their Patreon, and the devs escalated their delays accordingly. The only reason that most people give for arguing against the 'Abandoned' tag is their 'monthly poster' or whatever you call it now. Suckers are STILL paying for that even now.

There was even an occasion where the devs chided and insulted their patreons or people asking about delays way back years ago, and their replies were 'things happen. suck it up.' That post, was of course deleted later on, but that was the last straw for me where I immediately cut my subscription to them. But there are still many hardcore foolish defenders now here and there trying to 'justify' the devs' delays and attitude towards their work.

The problem is accountability, as well as responsibility of communication. The devs, as far as I know, had never properly connected with their 'audience'. For delays, they would just say "shit happens, suck it up" or come up with some reason like "was on a holiday, no time to work on it" and so on. But more often than not, there's just radio silence, and then "boom". They come back to give 'justification' and give the other fans false hope, getting them to re-sub, just to leave them hanging again for months, if not almost a year, before ever even giving a subpar update that doesn't justify the duration.

Unfortunately we are seeing this almost across the board. It kinda seems like the pandemic caused an explosion of interest in H games, and now that that's over and a lot of folks had to go back into the office, interest and development are tanking. 2-3 years ago the amount of development on H games was amazing, you could pop on here any day and there would just be an incredible amount of discussion. New games were popping out left and right, and all the devs were kind of competing to put out bigger, better, faster updates.

Now? About the only thing they are competing over is who can milk their few remaining subs harder.

Mythic Manor has been in a death spiral for ages, they don't really seem to have the motivation to do much actual work, but keep hoping money will somehow magically start to flow in. And every day they wait, it just gets worse, because as you said the game looks like it was developed in like 2005. New people finding this game now are likely going to be turned off by the archaic look, and the super weak "oh it's not a full blown H game, the girls will all just sleep with you really easily if you talk to them a few times" setup.

I swear this game is so close to being dead that I always feel strange seeing it once a year with a small 30 minutes update that is mostly talking
