And the time in the story is fucking irrelevant if you're using the definiton of "recent" that includes THE PASSAGE OF ACTUAL FUCKING TIME! FFS!
See how unhelpful it is to just insist your definition is the only one anyone should use with a whiny, petulant tone? Especially when the person you replied to originally complained there had been only one scene featuring their preferred fetish long ago (in the actual, passage of time sense) and you decided "nope, not going to acknowledge that valid point, and instead just insist that only the passage of time in the story matters" while ignoring that said passage of time has been glacially slow entirely because of the developers own decisions; he absolutely could have furthered the storyline in the intervening years, but simply elected not to.
To be clear, I understand that you seem to believe thats the only metric which matters (I even acknowledged it was only a few updates ago, remember?) but you seem unable to grant that other peoples measure of "recent" is just as valid for them, as your measure is for you.
One of us (it's me, by the way, just in case you were unaware) is willing to acknowledge that differing perspectives exist, and are equally valid for the people involved, and the other thinks that only his preferred perspective matters, and responds by throwing the dummy out the pram when told other opinions exists. I know which one of those I think is a more reasonable way to behave, but you do you, chief.
When you are talking about the plot, then only the plot matters, you would have to be intentionally trying to be a troll, to not get that. There was no point in which I was talking about time in the real world, only the fucking game. Because when you are talking about the plot, that is the ONLY thing that matters. Time in the game doesn't pass, when there is no story to play.
If you want to bitch about the update time, do that, but leave me out of it, that has less then nothing to do with what I was talking about, it's not related to my post in any way, and that should have been fucking obvious to anyone who was actually paying attention to what I said.

The guy you replied to wasn't talking about the plot, though. He was saying that the developer hadn't made any progress regarding a fetish he liked in a long time. That's a complaint regarding the slow speed of development, not a complaint about the plot.
But the guy you replied to WAS talking about time in the real world. The fact you tried to shift the topic doesn't matter, because his complaint was that the developer added a fetish he liked a long time ago, and hasn't done anything with it since ("back to never doing futa never fucking again"), and he's demonstrably correct about that, even if he was being hyperbolic in his presentation of the fact (I don't know about you, but I got the impression he was somewhat annoyed). So I'm going to ask you a direct question; is it a correct statement that there's been no new futa content added since June of 2021? It's a simple yes or no question.
First off, I didn't complain about the update time. The other guy did.
Second, you're the one who replied to his complaint. Don't go whining about wanting to be left out of it now; if you don't want to discuss it, then simply stop replying. A revelatory suggestion, I know.

I merely pointed out that you trying to dismiss his complaint with "oh, but it was recent, so it's not a big deal" doesn't engage with the guys ACTUAL issue. You just keep trying to shift the goalposts, and you seem to imagine no one notices. The worst part of it is that your argument of "oh, it was only one event ago" actually proves his point, since you're acknowledging there's only been one event for that character, despite the passage of four years, and several updates in that time period; I'm not sure if you honestly don't realise that, or if you're being deliberately obtuse.
Why did you reply to him with something that doesn't engage with the actual substance of his complaint?

No, it's been about nine months since the last update.
I imagine your confusion was in regards to the previous disagreement, but that was specifically somebody complaining that there had been no progress with one particular storyline/fetish in a long time, rather than there being no progress with the entire game. And they were correct in that assertion; the last update which featured the fetish they like was in June of 2021. The latest update to the game, however, was November of 2024.
Nothing has changed since I posted this on August 7.

This is mostly a thought that's based on nothing really, so don't take it too seriously. But does anyone feel like the original plans for some of the main girls changed?
The most believable one with this would be Velle. It's was pretty apparent that her content was going to be kinkier than the others and focus on less vanilla stuff. I mean she works at a brothel after all. But the reaction towards that content wasn't well received by a large portion of people, at least here. Most notably being the scene where you watch one of her co-workers fuck a random dude and kinda imply she does or at least did the same work. I wonder if the reaction towards that made Jikei feel like going forward with that direction wasn't worth it and that's why Velle has been stuck in limbo. Her last content update was over 3 years ago and incredibly vanilla in comparison to her earlier content and felt pretty rushed, even if I did enjoy it.
I've also had a similar suspicion about Esther. Not with people having a negative reaction to any of her content. But more so with the tone of her content being noticeably different after Patreon updated their rules a few years ago (man, this game has been in dev for a long time). Her earlier content references the MC's mom a decent amount and I've always wondered if that was leading up to something and was dropped because of the rule changes.
Can't really remember anything about the other girls that give me a similar feeling, but I also haven't played this game in 2 and a half years so maybe I'm forgetting something.

Should I become a developer? Is this shit hard? This guy's been posting "monthly artwork" of some shitty renderings for 9 months and has cleared like 30 grand from that. I have a masters degree and am earning on par to this dude.
Yes and no. There's a really big upfront time sink, and they don't start getting paid until there's some kind of alpha, and even after you get a few versions out, there's no guarantee, you could be like Jikei and collect a few thousand, or you could be Svengali Productions

I would even argue, in development it's like with most jobs, where you offer something to a public audience while being self-employed.
Take streaming as an example: on the surface it's not hard (it sort of isn't once you get the hang of it), but it's draining having to consistently grind, especially in the beginning when you only have a handful of viewers/customers, but grinding isn't all of it.
It involves a lot of dedication to become skilled, a creative idea but some luck being discovered if you have the first two.
The caveat about the little extra luck can be crucial if your creativity and/or the skill is on the average side of things.

thanks for your work, just because you are curious, Renpy Engine 8.X do not support old 32 bit computers. that is to say that the last version of this game that can be run on an old computer is version 0.20. for your culture in 2011 a lot of celeron and atom where released for notebooks. these are only 32 bit processors. Renpy 7 supports 32bit and 64bit, Renpy 8 support only 64 bit computers. you know everything now
