Mini Rant:
I started playing this game yesterday and its so good in just about every aspect. The story, humour, audio cues, just about everything is gripping and entertaining. The fact that this is the dev's first endeavour and a solo endeavour at that is mind boggling.

But then I realised I'm unlocking barely anything in the Achievements and I decided to download the Achievement Guide, and imagine my disappointment. Why the heck is unlocking a few special images that convoluted
I'd love to ignore that tab entirely and continue with the story but not being able to unlock every aspect of the game kinda pisses me off.

In conclusion, goated game (as of Chapter 1) but the constant back and forth digital gymnastics needed to unlock images feels like an unnecessary and complicated detour, to the point that I lose focus on the main story and I'm in constant worry on whether or not I missed an achievement.

I agree, but you can make a joke out of anything. I heard that there was a joke-telling competition in Moscow recently. The first place winner got 4 years and six months in prison.
As Pierre Desproges, my favorite French humorist, once said "You can laugh at everything, but not with everyone".

Mythos, Book One - Steam Release!
The moment has come - the murder mystery modern fantasy comedy visual novel has come to Steam, and boy are my arms tired.

Wait, I don't think that's how the joke goes. Ah well, let's keep going.

Step into mystical version of Baltimore, where the mysterious death of an ex-girlfriend uncovers a world of vampires, fae, mages, secret government agencies, and at least one cat you can pet.

Book One features:
  • Five love interests (which you can romance some, all, or none of without affecting the story),
  • A scene replay feature for the adult scenes,
  • At least 14 endings,
  • Steam Achievements, each unlocking special artwork,
  • Reticulated Splines,
  • A "Lorebook" to keep track of the information you uncover during the investigation,
  • "Tales from Mythos"; a collection of short stories that give more insight into the world of Mythos,
  • No werewolves,

Get it now:

OK, you were busy for the release on Steam of Mythos Book One.
So, I forgive you for not putting Book Two on my desk this morning.
But I expect it tomorrow morning. :ROFLMAO:

Can anyone please clarify how and when to get the Mandela Effect achievement? I name my character Nelson Nelson but as much as I progress the story, it isn't unlocking.

Well, it's 1PM, and still nothing...

Sorry Nine of Swords, I couldn't help myself, I'm a fan of The Fifth Element and of Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg :)

While looking around the shop, I noticed that Mythos has been released as part of a bundle with Glowing Stones.

I'm debating whether to buy Mythos on its own or the whole bundle, but I'm not familiar with the other game.

Can you tell me if it's a serious superhero game or a parody?:coffee:.

There's an easy solution to this:

Just play the game. Focus on the main story. Enjoy it and stop obsessing over minutiae.

Then you can go back later, replay the game, and try to get all the little things you missed.

Honestly, if you're trying for full achievement completion on your very first run, you're generally ruining the game experience for yourself no matter what game you're playing. Don't do that.

Comrade Stalin was curious about how ordinary Russian people lived, so he put on a disguise and went to the cinema. A film about him was being shown, and at the end of the film everyone stood up and applauded. Comrade Stalin sat proudly and contentedly in his seat. Then someone behind him spoke up.
“Stand up and applaud, you stupid moustache, or the NKVD will arrest you!”
