It could be in the infantilizing sense. Sort of like how men in the west might say someone is a "Hot girl" instead of a "Hot woman" because the latter is too formal? Or saying something like "Hi Girls and Guys." etc. Then there's the fact that there is a heavy bondage aspect in this game. It could be leaning on DDLG themes / power dynamics.
Skill points I believe effects how much money she can earn and is used when determining Job Endings.

It has been mentioned however it's more of awkwardly delayed. Try holding down 'Ctrl' and it will sort itself out.

The story sound wholesome, but the game and characters aren't at-all

i like the fact that you can basically say no to every bad-events
but the way to get the true-ending, and not the normal bad-ending is miserably-hard
you got to get her devotion to 200 points
keep in mind, the only ways you can raise the stat, is by having conversations with her,
which mean getting only 3 points a day at most,
Or having sex with her (only if you get to 100 points to begin with), which mean getting 9 points a day and unintentionnally raising lust by 30 points
And to make it even harder to NOT get cucked, if her lust stat reach 60+ points, you will get a unavoidable NTR-event
I was basically skipping conversations every-days until i could have sex with her (after reaching 100 points)
And then i'd make her pray for two days to avoid getting cucked
also, i hate how there is no middle-grounds with the two main-endings
You'd think the game would make you lose if you have under 100 points, get normal good-ending for 100+ points
And the most romantic one for 200 points, since it would imply you actually worked for it
But no, you only get a good ending if you manage to get 200 points, and if you don't you immediately get the bad-ending
Which is a quite awful one if you gave a shit about the story
At the end of the game you'll fell like shit if you didn't get the good-ending
I still think it's a good-game, but it need a third-ending, easier to get than the good-one
Even if it's a less romantic-one, which would make sense considering it would take less efforts to get it
Or at least we need more ways to raise devotion to make it easier to get to the good-ending

Just wondering haven't found all the endings yet but is there one were you essentially become her god (not as a nice savior god but one that should be feared) replacing her previous god. I'm asking because after teaching feeling I wanted a similar game were instead of being completely wholesome I can be manipulative and make the girl in my care worship and fear me instead.

It has always confound me how much people whine so viciously about even the subtlest hint of NTR even though 80% of porn is catered to their wish-fulfillment taste. Funny you say that but then start your comment with an insult. If people just come in and say "Ewww, NTR, not my taste" and then leave, few would even care. The fights usually starts when someone comes in and say how "bad" or "wrong" NTR is or things like that to varying degrees of harshness or directly call them names like you did. Or the classic, "Great, another NTR, this plague is everywhere."
