There's The Survival of Sarah Rose which has a similar theme, but it's more of a visual novel (with choices).

Tabletop Born Star has a different theme but similar game mechanics.

Both worth playing.

Damn, I knew this was unfinished when I started playing, but I wasn't prepared for how invested I'd get. Getting all the way to the end of the game, multiple characters hinting that there's about to be a big twist... then BAM, sent back to main menu with no conclusion. I need closure!

So... we are staring down the barrel of an abandoned tag here since it's 6 months since on hold I believe. It would be abandoned about this time anyway due to lack of content updates. Would really appreciate some kind of info to preempt that. This is a pretty unique abandonment situation since the dev is active, just working on other projects due to personal choice, don't recall any other Devs that work like this (just an observation not a criticism).

IMO this is the best game out of all the Dev's, although I greatly enjoyed others aswell. That kind of makes it bittersweet for this game to meet this fate. Seems that the quality of the existing content means the Dev feels unable to continue with this.

Anyway, I wish the Dev success in all projects this new year.

I think on hold is appropriate. I still intend to finish it, I'm just not actively working on it at the moment, isn't that what on hold means?

If I didn't intend to ever finish it, slapping the abandoned tag on it would provide me personally a lot more peace of mind. It's not like I'm not transparent about what I do each week on my patreon and such so I doubt anyone is giving me any money for this. And this long hiatus I think looks worse than just calling the game abandoned as well. From my perspective the only reason to call it on hold is if I really want to finish it at some point. So as long as that tag is there it means I still want to wrap up the game in a way it deserves.

I probably wasn't being clear in my last post. I'm not accusing you of abandoning the game, merely highlighting that after some time game threads become eligible for tagging as abandoned as per the criteria I mentioned, which will be out of your control. Then thread newcomers might misjudge the game as fully dead. Hence it would be to your benefit to have info in the thread to explain your dev strategy(multiple games in the oven), which is somewhat unique as I said. You have done that anyway so it's appreciated, especially as you have no obligation to give info in a forum like this.

And just to repeat, I look forward to all your upcoming projects, even though this is my fav from you.

This is my fav from when talking about the artistic vision. You did a great job with the pixel art and ambience. I think you should feel proud of what you have accomplished already with the game, regardless of what happens with the end.

P.S: I mainly want an ending screen just to get a nice summary of stats and events xD

It would be neat if the Princess and her Brother actually be close and not against each other, more of a........Loving Bond between them they kept secret and through the competition The Princess keeps wanting to see her brother and vice versa rather than fight him for the throne. Cersei and Jamie?(Game of Thrones) like. The higher the corruption the more the sister cares more her brother and less for the throne.

I've replayed this game after a long time, and I must say, I like it more every time I play it. It's a gem. Even without the lewd part, it would be a good game. It's one of the few games on this page that I want to play beyond just cleaning the pipes.
And the art is beautiful. Truly beautiful. I'm amazed every time I play it.

The core theme of the game is that you don't play as the Princess, you play as Maria. You can affect the Princess's mindset and outlook on things, but in the end she's making her own decisions. It's hard to do lesbian playthrough because the Princess isn't a lesbian. Thematically, how would choosing to have a sex scene happen or not work? The Princess stops the conversation mid-way to go and ask Maria if she should fuck them or not?
