The last update of this game was entitled Book 7 AB4 October 6 2024 with no mention of a "Volume one" or any variation.
So how many updates between "book 7 AB4" And this update?
I will redownload and test but the current saves are broken, so as unlikely as it is I have missed an update to this game it seems I have somewhere along the way regardless

Who knows, the dev hates pirates, even a big warning when you start the game. It has never been public version, and the game rarely leaks...so there are all kinds missing updates for volume 1.
Saves might not even carry over to Volume 2.
The game will not allow you to begin anew, specifically telling you to load the save from "Volume 1" so it would seem one needs to download Volume 1 and play through irrelevant of any other variable

there are no place for save of volume 1 to transfer to volume 2.
I redownload the volume 1, the saves are ok but no instruction for transfering save to volume 2.
Is there a new version of volume 1 out there that can safely transfer save to volume 2?

Volume 1 asks you to save at a specific spot and you need to save exactly there for the save to transfer. No other saves will work.
It is AFTER the credits and two screens before you get sent back to the main menu. Save there and then load that save in the new volume. I can confirm it works just fine.

I download the VOLUME 1 AB 4 version, and the last scene is Sydney saying something, then end credit scene.
Or maybe I need to download the new updated one not the old one,
Yup. And she tells you to save your game just before you get sent to the main menu. You have to save there. Don't try to skip through it or save somewhere else.
Also, the F95 moderator messed up the description slightly. Volume 1 is not AB4, the change log shows the changes to Volume 1 SINCE AB4 was released.

Download the latest version in the OP, THEN you will find the scene to save for volume 2 in the end. Play the volume 1 version, not the Book 7 Alpha Build.4 version.
