That might be true for eventually most people, but it's exact why it will flop for other people who like female MC with such setting. Only one self can say if the game is good or bad. Only because the majority say it's good, doesn't mean that everyone thinks so.
Normally I like such games, but sadly, always male MC, so it's quite repetitive and feels always the same.
So you have to finish koume, aoi and kotohana first before getting to the other 2. Not sure what the talking counter does but this game progress with events and maybe the light balls that are hidden.
Tbh I don't think that matters at all, it's more just up to the particular staff member that spots it and decides they don't like it. Games 'worse' than this, like Insexual Awakening which also has art that isn't pixels and an MC and LIs just as young if not younger, are apparently acceptable so it's dumb that this one got struck down in the first place. It's more likely that it being from a Japanese dev caused a bias against it, as they're more known for this kind of stuff.
