Can't really blame the dev for taking a break from the thread. Things got a little heated.

I'll probably regret dipping back into this whole conversation but, since you seem to want a discussion, I'll briefly oblige.

I don't particularly see her being deeply in love with the MC. She's in an emotionally abusive relationship and, after seeing a couple in a happier relationship, she starts to fantasize about being in a happier relationship herself. Nothing about the situation seemed to imply that she was already deeply in love with the MC. Afterall, if she was, there's no reason she wouldn't have gone out with him in the first place instead of who she's currently dating. She didn't though, so I don't see why you think she's so deeply in love with him.

She might end up "truly" falling in love with the MC later on but, as far as I'm concerned, nothing so far indicates she was already in love with him. If anything, she's not the "one who got away" from him, he's the one who got away from her.

In short, I'd say it's closer to buyer's remorse than love, but what do I know about the feelings of fictional characters?

All that aside, expecting her to "save herself" for him is about as fair as her expecting the MC to "save himself" for her. He clearly hasn't, so why does it even matter if she hasn't?

Edit: Spelling
First I would like to clarify I do not want a discussion
I would rather call it a search for information regarding unclear parts of the story I personally consider important
also I did not intend to come off as aggressive or offensive in simply stating my opinion
and I absolutley did not want to attack the dev

I still consider this game one of the more bearable on this site
especially because of my hatred for the mere appearance of other males in porn games

the Risa issue is just one easily solved nitpick of mine to wich I also suggested a possible solution
by wich I mean that I am not asking the dev to change the story for me in particular
just information by wich I can decide to keep playing or not

I would also like to point out that I never used the adjective "deeply" to describe the love

I already explained why I dislike the presence of the boyfriend
but to simplify I just think it does not fit the whole narrative
by adding unnecessary jealousy in the game

to answer your question about "saving herself" for MC I just do not see it as such

I also already talked about what I think of realism in porn games
simply it does not matter
I don't play games for realism expecially porn games

having said that this game and dev in general is at least honest in the content of the game

certain other games that shall not be named try to justify NTR as litterally anithing else
and completely ignore certain traits of personality in favor of just adding drama

I also have much to say how I simply do not understand why so many peapole consider sexual experience such an attractive trait
but that would be awfully off topic so I will stop here

I will keep whishing good luck to the dev regardless

P.S I just discovered where the apostrophe key is

Anyway, good game dev. I did genuinely enjoy playing through it. To be honest, I didn't realize I had a crazy girl fetish until just now... so thanks for that I guess? I wouldn't mind seeing a similar character in your other game.
Welcome to the club. Please sign this blood soaked members registration that I didn't make out of my rival's skin. We can praise the yandere together.

Yes, the beginning is the harem ending.

Actually, she is supposed to be unlikable in this part of the story :)

In the original ending? No. But I've been experimenting with the pregnancy in the Koikatsu Chara Studio. This one is from my other game, The Daily Life of the Pan Hero

Turns out it wasn't that hard to add pregnancy into the game, but it's not going to make sense to add pregnancy into the original ending. So I think I will make a pregnancy ending which will be an alternate ending.

Yeah, don't leave her hanging.

Thanks for putting my thoughts into words. I'm kinda tired of giving the same explanation again and again. I rather use my time to keep working on my games. So I just let them be.

But, I'll give some explanation. Why do I put the 11 years later in the intro? Mostly because this is my first writing, so I'm experimenting a lot, on what's working and what's not. Any feedback I gain from this will be put into consideration on my next work. But for this game, I still rather do it this way, because this is how I want the ending to be. And if I don't put the 11 years later in the intro, I will receive more negative feedback because people will feel blindsided by it. And I know foreshadowing won't work either because not a lot of people expect that in a hentai games (Which is fine, some people play h games just to bust a nut, not to think too much about the plot).

And there will be no NTR, and I consider the original ending to be a good ending, it's not going to be a bad ending, not even a bittersweet ending.

The reason why Natsumi will marry someone other than MC will be given in future chapter, and the reason why someone who might be a yandere and obsessed with someone can marry someone other than the person she's obsessed with is because she is not a one dimensional character who is incapable of change (which may seems stupid for some people, but I don't care).

But seriously, if you met a yandere in real life, would you not suggest them to go into therapy?

And this one is my more detailed explanation in case someone missed it.
I like to defend this man by starting with... holy shit you guys are fucking rabid. It's a fictional game, in a world you'll probably never live in, in a relationship you'll never have. Calm your tits, touch some grass, and don't ever play an Alicesoft VN, or else you might need some therapy.

Anyway, I like the game so far, in fact, I kinda expected some shenanigans when I saw No Face Hentai Man lurking about with his eye covering hair (nice setup BTW, he didn't say anything, just kinda lurked in the back), so I was expecting something to happen. I like the sister, mostly because she's like having a goofball girlfriend that sometimes likes to lose it every so often (I simp for Yuno, I don't care that she murdered the entire planet, twice). I would also like preggo ending, considering how that particular setting keeps setting up some form of fertilization.

Loli dream Natsumi is funny too, just for the fact that whole sequence feels like a weird drug trip, and they have to cover her innocent eyes when Natsumi has sex inside her own head. Are we just gonna have a different Natsumi for every emotion she has?

As for Risa, maybe she was just big dumb originally, but hey, if she ends up being another girl we bag later thanks to our obvious chaddness rescuing her from her plight, well, we need to teach Natsumi the concept of sharing.

Also I'm all for this weird marriage but not marriage if it gets around the whole u no can haz incest. I actually had a story idea once where a brother marries his sister, she marries some other dude as a sort of cover story, but the baby she has is her brothers. Except that story is way darker and might put people in a fetal position.

But yeah, that's it, sorry for exploding, but uh, I thought a lot of people were making a mountain out of a molehill, so I felt like calling them out.

It's confirmed in the chapter 4 preview that it is indeed a female that she gets married to, and the MC is in bed with both of them the day after the wedding. It's clear no one is being stolen from anyone here so it's not NTR. There isn't even a lesbian tag so there's no reason to assume they're even doing anything together besides participating in threesomes with the MC. You might feel that that situation is still NTR, but this website doesn't add the NTR tag for shit like that.
But Dev put in DEV NOTES that girl on girl is planned sooo.... Kind of implied.

Welp, looks like there's a few misunderstanding here, so I like to clear them up before other people get misunderstand as well.

1. MC and any of the LI WON'T get NTR'd, meaning LI won't have sex with any other guy than MC, meaning the LI won't have sex with both guys or girls behind MC's back or without MC knowing.

2. There's NO forced lesbian, there will be a lesbian scenes but it will be SKIPPABLE. In fact, so far there is still only one lesbian scene planned, and that is way into the future. As for the girl who played with other girl's boobs in the shower room, I didn't consider that as a lesbian scene, because they're supposed to be just best friends, and they're just a one time character who won't appear again in the future.

3. Why is there a plot to fight against NTR: It's simply because I hate NTR. No hate to the people who loves them, but it's not for me. I hate that in NTR, the NTR guy rarely get what they deserved (end up with his dick in is own mouth, and his balls in his nose, as one of you here said, to which I fully agree), I hate that the male lead just stand idly by as their love get stolen or doesn't even know it happened, and I hate that the girl lead succumb to the NTR guy simply because his dick is bigger or feels better. And I hate those so much that I want to write a plot where all of those is changed. Don't believe me? See my other game, see what happened to the people who tried to rape mc's girls. But to win against NTR, NTR itself have to exist in that world, that's why there's an attempt to one of mc's girls, but ONLY an attempt. But the NTR itself won't be shown, just mentioned like in the chapter 3 ending. Originally, this was supposed to be a different story, Yandere vs NTR. I'll explain later why it's added to this story.

4. Ka-chan (who appears in the prologue) or "a parodically girly married woman" is NOT Kashiwagi or "the blonde tomboy", they doesn't even look alike, Natsumi never even called Kashiwagi, Ka-chan. But yeah I get why some people can misunderstand that and it's my fault for not explaining this further. Ka-chan is just another one or probably two times character. There's two LI that doesn't appear in the prologue, and that's on purpose.

5. Why Natsumi who has a yandere potential fantasized about Risa: Because she's human? I mean I know she's just a character and not a real human, but who among us here never fantasized about things that we ended up regret fantasizing? Isn't that what post-nut clarity is all about? That's also why she's reluctant to share the fantasy with MC at first.

6. Why it's a polyamory rather than a harem: When I wrote this story, it was going to be a harem at first, but then I grew fond of Natsumi so I want her in every part of the story. If it's a harem, then the focus will keep switching between the harem members, and Natsumi will be sidelined. So I make it that every time a new girl join the relationship, it will be a threesome. But, if it's only a harem, I felt like it will get boring eventually because there's already a lot of harem story out there, both hentai and VN, and I wasn't that confident I could write a well-written character since this is my first writing. That's when I decided to combine this story with the Yandere vs NTR and give Natsumi the yandere potential. But a yandere and a harem doesn't work well, so to compromise, Natsumi will also own the harem, and that turn this into a polyamory, apparently.

7. Why is there so many misunderstanding: Because I thought I want to write with subtexts, since Lessons in Love, one of the VN that inspired me to do this has lots of them, and I want to see if I could do that as well. So, rather than writing a straightforward story, I write one with a couple of subtext that you can connect the dots yourself. Since I felt very happy when I read the discussion about the subtext explanation in Lessons in Love forums.
Should have some clue that people are really not into the lesbian/bi content. 1st clue you have 10 pages of comments 2 of those pages people are talking about not wanting Lesbian content.

It has been some time since I asked last and I did not get a clear answer, now the update to the other game is out and the dev is working on this, so I will ask again what are the plans for Risa?
I already asked before about her virgin status, and the reason I would consider it NTR if she was not one, I also suggested ways to introduce a choice, so now I ask again, I would really like to know if I have to abbandon this game as well.

Nothing definite yet regarding her virgin status since it's still 2 chapters away (not including the one being worked on), I will just ask it to the patrons and let the vote decide.

Just my two cents about any love interest’s virginity:
First, there are basically two types of players. Those who care deeply if a character is a virgin, and those who don’t really care that much. There aren’t really any players that prefer non-virgins enough to drop a character, let alone a game, just because a girl is a virgin.

So given the following scenarios we can do a cost-benefit analysis.
1. Character is a virgin - players that care about her virginity will be very happy, and players who don’t really care will be happy.
2. Character is not a virgin - player that care about her virginity will be very upset, and player who don’t really care will be happy.
3. Character’s virginity is left ambiguous - players that care about her virginity will be curious but happy enough to make their own choice in their head while playing, and players who don’t really care will be happy.

Basically, it is my argument that if a love interest’s virginity is not already establish for a very specific reason otherwise she should be a virgin. It will do no harm, but going the other way could alienate her (if not the whole game) from some fans. Other than a married character or when dealing with a Milf I would make the case that it is almost always better to have a character be a virgin.

All this is, of course, just an opinion and a few thoughts from my brain and can be taken or disregarded as anyone who reads them wants. I’m and by no means, the expert or authority.

If a character having had a relationship or sex in the past improves their backstory, the plot, etc, then I absolutely do prefer it that way. It has the potential to add nuance and more depth to a character in certain cases. Having a whole cast of love interests who've never fallen in love or done anything themselves until meeting the MC can often feel kind of ridiculous to me depending on the story, and I much prefer a well written story and nuanced characters than just endless pandering to fetishes.

It wouldn't make me drop this particular game, but I think that mindset can occasionally make for boring games, and I definitely do drop boring games.

I did bring up that MILFs and married women would obviously be exceptions as the story would demand. Suspension of disbelief only goes so far. And in many ways you prove my point. As a non-virgin lover you are perfectly happy either way, as long as it isn’t done in a silly manner. A virgin lover would not feel that way. They don’t want what they consider “sloppy seconds,” regardless of her reasons (MILFs often excepted) and will abandon a character if she isn’t one, maybe even the whole game if there aren’t any virgins worth playing for.

But to address the point about story and things becoming boring. Boring writing and story can go both ways. I find myself getting bored of the cliché ”steal the girl” stereotype that is copy pasted from so many games. And of many girls in games constantly declaring “it’s been so long,” or “you’re so much bigger,” or “no one is as good as you.”

There is a quote from another game that always comes to mind when this topic comes up that I feel sums up the mindset I have. An insecure virgin girl asked the MC if guys preferred girls with experience. The MC says, “Some do. But not me. Experienced girls know what other guys like. I get to teach a virgin what I like.” An experienced girl comes preloaded with baggage, and for a drama game that’s fine. As well as carrying her own fetishes and what she likes and doesn’t. A virgin character can still have some baggage if needed (see below) but can learn what she likes as the game goes on, experiencing things for the first time and not commenting on how good or bad the MC is compared to her last guy.

Many games fall prey to over sexualizing everything. For example, a girl has an abusive past, well it must be sexual, not just physical or emotional. A girl’s boyfriend is a dick, well it’s because he’s bored of her sexual or cheats on her, and not perhaps because she is refusing to have sex even after what he deemed “enough time.” A slut that must be “redeemed or rescued.”

Those tropes can have a place, true, but they aren’t “more realistic,” or “less boring,” than a nineteen year old character being a virgin. In fact most girls under twenty globally are virgins. It is only in certain city centers of some cultures that this isn’t the case. The early twenty virgin is the majority. Even if they have been dating for months most girls will wait, and when they don’t it is usually because of outside pressure.

The worst of all to me is the trope of the girl who “always loved the MC and still does, and wished she could have been with him.” But she never made a move and then couldn’t stand to wait a few months or a year to lose her virginity to someone else. “I love you so much, but after graduating and summer break I just had to lose my virginity, oh, if only I had known that we would be in the same town a month later! It was so terrible, I thought of you and wished it had been you.” It’s tired and silly.

I have known beautiful women who were virgins well into their twenties, and ugly girls who lost it at fourteen. And vice versa. Neither is more “compelling,” or “realistic,” it all comes down to the story and how well the writer can do it justice. And erring on the side of virginity when there isn’t already a stance will draw people in (which was why I posted my previous post, it seems that a girl’s virginity will be decided by poll, which I think is rather odd), while taking a stance the other way adds nothing inherently and can drive some people away.

I'd say she's already alienating personally and it was the recording that did it for me. I'd like to see her out of her situation and nothing else. Generally don't care about virginity, but I'd rather her be a virgin than be subjected to "you're so much better" or "I wish you had been my first" brand dialogue.

Virginity don't mean shit to me, because I've taken virgins and non-virgins alike in most of these scenarios. If you're playing something that involves a more wholesome take, they'll be virgins. If your game is a little darker (like Rance), or one of those Netori games, the girl might already be used, or she might not be. But she's getting used when I snatch her up.

I don't really care as long as she's cute.

I aggree with everithing you said, in this game however the girl in question already interacted with MC in the timeframe of the game and has shown interest in him, then she chose the other guy but she still clearly still has feelings for MC, the boyfriend is also clearly abusive with her if not phisically at least mentally and she is conflicted, in the beginning it shows that she leaves him for MC and she is not avoidable, my argument is that, to me, if she had sex with him it appened in the timeframe of the game so even if not shown she had sex with someone else and that is NTR, the point is not virginity, it is when it appened, if she was not a virgin already I would be fine with it as long as she lost it another way.

I also suggested a toggle because after all it would be just a few lines of dialogue more or less.

Personally I prefer virgins but not to the point of it being the most important thing, the mental purity is much more important, usually as was already stated non virgins tend to compare you with previous experiences and that disgusts me, I already went in more detail on my tastes in other posts so I will not digress any more.

In the end I will say that in this particular situation I would consider it unacceptable if she is not a virgin, not for the virginity itself but for the time in which she had to have lost it, but I am willing to compromise if a toggle is made.

Nothing definite yet regarding her virgin status since it's still 2 chapters away (not including the one being worked on), I will just ask it to the patrons and let the vote decide.
I find that a very strange thing, as I already said the situation is too close to NTR already and that would just send it over the edge, but the game is yours so I will just state my opinion and wait for the final decision, others have aready stated some arguments and the risks in making her not a virgin seem to be more than the possible gains,to me at least, also from an originality point of wiew it is full of games and stories where the girl chooses the other guy and then regrets losing her virginity, I have never seen one where she actually was carefull enough not to do it an is happy for it so this could be the first.

I will also repeat my proposition of a toggle because if the game leaves it vague enough it would be easy to implement.

I will have to wait for a confirmation before I keep playing because I do not want to get invested in the story just to have to abbandon it later, I was burned too many times by games hiding and mislabeling content to do it again, the game is otherwise relatively good, if a bit heavy on the war against NTR thing, which by the way as someone who absolutely despises NTR I can say I would rather it not be referenced than put in the game even if it is to avoid it,

the writing does get better later and it is clear that it was a learning experience, the other game seems to be less ambiguos about the status of the girls,
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
it also helps that they are avoidable there, unlike here, overall the experience is good, and would not be boring even with less drama, which does not really suit the mood the rest of the game sets, I do like the way the yandere thing is handled, I like classic yanderes but a more subdued version or like a half yandere is also interesting, they usually are not compatible with harems but this way it is easier, even if there are ways to make a full yandere work as well.

Regarding the topic of realism there is a big problem with making the game too realistic, that it stops being fun, I play games to relax and be happy, the real world is a horrible place and I do not want to be reminded of it in games as well, a realistic game can be good up to a point but expecially for porn games realism in my opinion only hurts, the situations are already pretty much impossible so what is realism going to add if not just sadness in the realization that none of the rest is possible either,

In conclusion I am willing to give this game one last chance if the issue is resolved appropiately, regardless I whish you luck in your endeavours.

I think anyone who can't accept a girl they wanna fuck to potentially have been penis'd by someone else, abusive or not, is obnoxiously short sighted and very immature. For all you know, you could marry a woman who's been fucked by five other guys and you'd have no idea unless she brought it up.

You guys make me sick.
