When I am in the Bedroom and click Research, it then does Jog instead and locks up the game. The screen just has the backdrop of the room with none of the options and buttons.
One of the dev here, could you provided the player.log and player-prev.log file to us?
The location should be in the AppData/LocalLow/Good Flicks/Naughty Doughy.

Indeed we have not been able to reproduce this bug. JestersDead yoou are welcome to provide us with the log files and we will use them to investigate what happened. You may either private message them to me or to ppdark1234 - or send them by email to chuck@goodflicks.net.

Thanks!

The animations leave something to be desired, but I actually found the GAME to be interesting.

It is INCREDIBLY punishing at the start.
When your main character is NOT "Happy", Jog.
There is NO punishment for letting the girls stats reach 0 (yet) so you can absolutely work them to the bone (I tried to keep their stats up to progress their stories but given the game's structure, I could have just focused on the store until I was making bank)
ABSOLUTELY spend all your money on new recipe books (EXCLUSIVELY Recipe 1 books, you literally can't use the other ones in current patch) You'll eventually reach level 2 recipes which are so obscenely better than recipe 1s (and also have place holder text) that you'll be making 1200+ a day.
When your main character gets 80+ "Heart" MAKE SURE TO JACK OFF. The penalty for having a wet dream is huge, and jacking off improves your mood dramatically.
Only buy the second Mood treat and Ramen. The math just makes them better than all other options even if they're the most expensive, they're the most efficient.
Next to none of the incremental books for sale are worth it. you're better putting your money to more recipes.

I DID cause the game to hang when researching more recipes. I think because they're placeholder they might be prone to glitches. Sadly I hadn't saved in a LONG time so I'm putting the game down until the next patch comes out.

I would personally like an "ecstatic" Mood to indicate "mood is maximum" because Happy, Normal, and Sad are all ranges, but Miserable is a bottoming out, and given work consumes atleast 11 mood, you are CONSTANTLY losing mood (which inhibits your ability to talk to the girls, or even research/work part-time), so the gameplay loop is optimized to be:
Work -> Jog -> (repeat until Wednesday) -> Jog until Happy -> "Go out" to buy recipe books -> Research recipe books until Friday -> Repeat

IF there is going to be a larger penalty to the girls being miserable and dead tired, the difficulty of the game needs to come WAY down. I was barely scraping by in trying to keep the girls happy and energetic.
By the time I had figured out the loop I had 400+ energy and NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. My MOOD was dictating my actions and not my energy. Energy basically became a useless stat, as the Mood gain from Jogging was the most important part.

I agree with everything, the game is fine, but the mood of your character is going down way too fast, you barely make money early game which will make you grind for a while before even improving your relationship with the girls, also the fact that everything is quite expensive and you have to pay your girls a lot and also pay for the recipe books and leveling up your store to get more fame/money, it's making the grind very tedious to do. And yes, the energy you have becomes literally useless because you get so much at some point at it doesn't matter anymore past 200, you'll never get tired, but the mood takes a while to go back up and you have to spend the little money you get to improve your mood or else you cannot talk to the girls, this system is very annoying.

Thank you very much for trying the game and shaing your detailed feedback!
  • We will make the beginning of the game easier, so it should only take one in-game week to get to the first sex scene.
  • Indeed, regarding how stats work, we have yet to find the right balance, and it will have to be rebalanced once we give a penalty for the girls' stats reaching zero (which we have yet to design).
  • We plan to keep the requirement to jack off when time comes. It is one thing for the player to think about, but it brongs satisfaction when the mood gets a massive bump. Perhaps can we decrease the penalty for the wet dream though.

Cheers,
Chuck

Thank you too for your feedback. Indeed we will have to further balance the game.

WTF This error? Then softlocks and need to restart
Thanks for reporting this. My guess is that it is the same bug as mentioned by sabata2 with the placeholder text for recipes - due to some mismanagement of array indexes, the game is showing content entries that should not be part of the current build, as their actual contents is not there yet.

We will fix this in a bug fix update shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

(btw I am not sure if twerking is part of the plan or is just some random placeholder - the story designer hasn't discussed it with me yet)

Cheers,
C.

Just saving and reloading a lot
We have not managed to reproduce it, so we will assume it has alreeady been fixed when fixing the bug reported by sabata2.

We will post a new build next week with a minor content update (an event with Haruna), a few improvements (display options, foldable tablet interface during shifts) and a few bug fixes - among which this one.

Cheers,
Chuck

The only problem I had with Jack Off was *I didn't notice it was there until after 3 wet dreams*. I actually thought it was a penalty for something I had no control over. So just having it pointed out would do a lot..
I would just make one auto-event that occurs at high "Heart" to indicate to the player "Jack Off" exists as an option and should be taken.
It's also fairly obvious that the "sex" options with the girls are other ways to reduce that bar, but they aren't implemented yet, so maybe add in a line to my proposed event like "I guess my hand will do, but I wish I could have a woman" to also imply Jack Off is the temporary solution that will get "better" options later.

That's a very good point, thanks for reporting it. It is often hard for a game designer to realize that such or such thing that they designed isn't obvious to the player. I caught a few of those as I playtested the game and I told the team, but jerking off is one I didn't catch - certainly because the design of the feature was discussed with me before it was implemented.

I will tell the team and we will implement a way to convey the info to the player.

Cheers,
C.

I just posted a new update (0.2.0) with the following changes:

New contents:
  • One more CG event with Haruna (lingerie shop).
Improvements:
  • Button to fold/unfold the tablet screen during shifts.
  • Confirmation on leaving the shop, to avoid leaving accidentally.
  • Better keyboard support (you can press enter after entering name).
  • Display options (full-screen, windowed, choice of resolution).
  • Credits.
Bug fix:
  • Proper handling of non-standard screen ratios.
  • Fixed a bug in which a compliment would benefit another girl than the girl selected.
  • Fixed a bug in which a research would make the game freeze.
  • Fixed a bug in which some conversations would make the game freeze.
Download links in the first post of this thread.

Thanks to sabata2, PhiloPhilo, biolabrat, HELPMEPLEASEIMT0OADDICTED, JestersDead, lincer556, Axilapiz for reporting bugs!
