Yeah its my biggest critic about eternum aswell, i think its the only thing cabidis does really bad: the setup of the harem just isnt existing and in reality all the girls would hate him/be heartbroken, but they just doesnt .. because mc .. is great .. or something .. , it was the same in his first game. But enough about other games.

So your main issue is the MC doesn't tell all the women he's with that he's banging other women? I kinda get that, at least with Eliza, but everyone he's been with knows Eliza is his main girlfriend. And they have no problem with it.

The pirates didnt knew shit, mc told them hes looking for the cure for "a friend" and not for his big love while he falls in love with kira but yeah my main issue is in fact Eliza's situation. But i dunno a kira-admirer maybe sees it problematic with her.

So that brings us to Eliza.... Yeah she said she doesn't want to share him. But in that moment that's kinda like a child saying they don't want to share their toys. After a while i'm sure the dev will have her character development evolve into an accepting relationship and her friendship with all the ladies the MC is sleeping with will be accepted. (although i agree, the MC should tell her)

Yeah, im kinda just saying that i fear that it will feel very shitty when it happens and would have felt way less shitty with a proper (earlier) setup and communication from the mc. I can of course only speak for myself, but it would allow me to enjoy the harem path WAY more compared to how it is now.

But whatever, i didnt intended to make such a big deal out of it, just thought i give my 2 cents and sometimes buu changed little things in retrospect, but i guess this time my perspective just pissed him off lmao

Hey, you haven't offended me in any way. I just wanted to address the subject as I've seen people comment on this over several updates, so I thought it would be good to just tell people why it is the way it is in the world of Nephilim.
Also Nephilim is not a HAREM, it's simply just a story that contains a very optional harem path that is not even very prominent, at least not as the mainstream harems you so often see in AVN's are.

As for why the mc doesn't go around telling the girls "Oh hey, btw I just got done fucking Alice, wanna make out?" is obviously because he knows this could cause tension or jealousy. The girls obviously talk amongst themselves offscreen often and will have broached the subject, none of them are interested in knowing or hearing about what they each do with the player.
There is also a scene written with Alice and Eliza discussing this however I don't think it appears until August or September update.

Just like sailors at sea don't come home from a long voyage and tell their wifes about the 13 wenches they hooked up with or merchants traveling months on the road doesn't tell their spouses about the innkeepers daughter or who it might be.

Women in this type of society very much expect and knows their partners (most of the time) will do these things as that's the norm. Men are free to do as they please while the wifes are not.
I hope that clears some of it up, as I said in the last post, sometimes the girls will mention it on screen but it will not happen that often.

Honestly, have to say how thoroughly impressed I am with the amount of content in this game. Chapter lengths are pleasantly surprising. Each time I think, "oh this must be where the chapter wraps," it keeps going.

Yeah I'm also a pirate arc fan tho I do perfer Peral over Kira. It was probably one of my favorite parts of the game tbh even tho I did hate being away from Eliza lol. Honestly it was alot of fun for me . Only thing I didn't like about it , was how often Kira made moves on the MC if you turned her down once. I've yet to see any of the lewds from that arc as I only played it when I was on a Eliza solo path. But im currently replaying the game

About Alice I think she would care but only if Eliza doesnt agree to share the MC. Otherwise yeah I dont see her caring at all cause she is madly in love with the MC and all she wants is to be with him. Tho Buu did mention how Alice and Eliza gonna have a conversation with one another guessing about sharing the MC. So I cannot wait for that update

Yeah youre probably right about Kira, tbh i dont give this much of a fuck about her but she would probably dont care yeah (i would maybe really like her more if i wouldnt feel shitty for the mc falling in love with her and the other way around haha, thats why i have less troubels with kelly for exampe as it feels more casual.

Yeah not gonna lie Buu's statement that there will be a talk between Eliza and Alice kinda soon makes me view the whole situation way more relaxed. The MC, Eliza, Alica combination troubled me without their knowledge/communication the most.

I can see there seems to be some people still confused as to how a medieval, male dominated society works. If you wish to play Nephilim with your 2024 morals of a modern day earth, you're free to do so, but expecting it to apply in the lore and story taking place here is downright silly.

There is no such thing as male cheating in Nephilim. A man single or married can take multiple wifes, mistresses, lovers, concubines or whatever else suits him and some women accept it as its the way its always been for them, some of the women may not like it but will still accept it as that's how their society works.

If you're on multiple girls path, the girls will not be yapping on and on about them all being in love with the player in front of each other as they feel that will just cause tension and jealousy. Sometimes a couple of the girls will address their feelings with each other but it will be far from the norm as they mostly prefer to just not think about it.

You can call it cheating, man-whoring, harem, call it pluto if that makes you happy, but that's the how the setting for Nephilim's human society works. If you wish to stay loyal to one girl, do so. If you wish to enjoy the company of all the heroines, do so.

That's not a very good argument, Buu. First, because you should expect your players to bring their 2024 morals to the story. We're playing it 2024, right? If you want us to apply a different lens to the events in game, it's up to you to establish that perspective within the game itself, not in a rant on a third-party forum. We've had plenty of time to show that polygamy and affairs are commonplace or that women recognize their lot as second class, but I can't recall any instances of that.

If anything, the impressions we get are the opposite. Kelly's mom was eager to defy her husband so that Kelly could live her own life. King Bennen has only a single (female) heir and (AFAWK) never took additional concubines/wives to supplement that, nor does he consider taking a second wife as an alternate means of securing the kingdom. Queen Merida pontificates at great length how disappointed she was when her 'fairy tale' marriage turns out to be less than romantic, which strongly implies love and devotion are the ideals people espouse publicly - even if reality falls short of the ideal.

Second, on every other subject, the behavior of almost every character in the game is thoroughly modern. Women may join - and even lead - guilds without issue. The King is eager to dispense with formalities when meeting with the MC. No one bats an eye when the Queen entertains a male stranger in her bedchamber. That isn't how medieval society worked, either. Combine these discrepancies with literal magic and non-human races and I frankly see no reason why we would guess society in Nephilim isn't just as egalitarian as our own, to say nothing of it being dramatically less so.

Basically, if you want the MC to play the field without coming of as a cad, you need to do a better job establishing the norm.
