lol my main save Eliza solo path is like 6 months behind or so just been lazy and just going full harem to see everything in one go lol
Eliza solo and full (almost) harem are the 2 paths I take the time and go through properly, the rest are just ctrl-skip and take about 2 minutes each update. :ROFLMAO:

It depends on the dev. Some write with a preferred LI or two in mind and add other LIs for flavor. Other devs will try and write a balanced story for each LI. Each dev has there own 'thing' going on when it comes to LIs.
It's just interesting to me because it's not looks alone - there are "hot" lis in many games who are not very popular so it's not just looks. It might partly be when they are introduced in the story, and I think part of it is "having to work for it" - at least to me, the Lis who take some effort I seem to like more than the ones who love you on sight (but not always - because Eliza for one thing). I just wondered if there is something in their origin (who/what they were inspired by) that makes them good.

well we know 2 players in this thread that's gonna kill everyone but Eliza off even if they don't deserve it
Not me. Not wanting someone around and wanting them dead are not the same thing. IRL there are lots of people who I've made leave me alone without killing them. I would have killed the pirate girls for their betrayal, or at least would not have gone back to help them when they called.

Same mostly. I would have killed the pirate girls, I wouldn't have gone to help them, If I was approaching the ship and saw Diana raise her sword, I would have slowed down a bit. I'd still kill them if I got the option. There's no one else I really want dead though. I just want them to go away or at least accept that absolutely nothing is going to happen between me and them. If something happened to Eliza I think this game would be over for me. The others I just don't care about, at all and I want to stop hanging out with them.

Yeah, if something happened to Eliza I would burn the world out of revenge - but even with her gone, I wouldn't be interested in any of the other Lis.

Explain to me why Pearl deserves to die. The other dude can't.

Selena, I understand. She deliberately put Eliza in mortal danger, and if she truly believed that Eliza was not in danger (as she claimed), then her sister was in no danger either, and there is no excuse. And she showed no remorse.

Kira, I understand. She deliberately put MC in danger and even admitted he was in danger, but no apology, just a what's done is done.

Pearl stole a chalice to save her sister's life. She had no idea that it was to give Eliza her legs back. And she was extremely remorseful and apologetic afterwards. I'd be confident that Eliza has stolen something in the past too.

Meredith, Slyph & Alice all thought the couple of hours after Eliza broke her back was the perfect time to hit on MC (and they were all aware of it). That's a pretty sick betrayal and inadvertently put Eliza in danger as MC is trying to get back to her.

So how is it a betrayal and why does Pearl deserve to die for a simple theft?

I still see the theft as a betrayal a) of me because it was the reason for the voyage and b) of Eliza - and I do not care if it was deliberate or not. Selena's sister didn't have anything directly to do with the betrayal but we still got an option to kill her. So yeah, to me both of the pirate girls deserved to die, or at the very least I would not have had any further dealings with them, I certainly wouldn't go to their rescue.

I think killing either Kira or Peral is to much personally for me they haven't done anything to warrant death but not forgive them and cut them out of the MC's life and not help yeah I can see that much. Tho i'd still disagree about that when it comes to Peral but Kira and Peral is a package deal so yeah...

Yeah but now we're left with a slow burn where I haven't forgiven them but have to pretend I have and wait for my chance.

I love Eliza but the Date hairstyle has got to GTFO forever. As far as betrayals and all that you guys are too much in my opinion. Selena either saves her sister or delivers a random stranger. Yeah thats a tough choice.
Kira and Pearl do what their dad tells them or save a random stranger. Yeah hard choice again....
Either enjoy the game or don't but please enough with the BS about betraying people you don't know.
That aside I am actually on board with you all as far as if E is your only choice I wish you could actually play the game that way.

Forgot to address this one but it's easier - this is a problem throughout the game. I'm with Eliza and only with Eliza - I could have told them that a long time ago, definitely by the time Alice arrived in the city but the game won't let me. Is it shitty that they chose that moment - yes, and as I said I don't actually like any of them personally. The closest I come is Sylph but that's mainly because she's become so close with Eliza - not because I care for her much. I mean to me it would feel like a betrayal if I said yes to any of them ever, but I have to keep saying no over and over because I don't get another option. I mean the conversations in the last update between Luna and her mom and between Amelia and her were after I'd supposedly locked in the friendship route. It's a big part of why I don't even consider any of the other Lis friends.

No. You're allowed to have opinions about characters in the game, their actions and how you feel about them because of those actions. Was what they did understandable under the circumstances? Yes. Would MC retaliating against them for those actions be understandable? Also yes. There's nothing in this that says you have to play like Jesus and just turn the other cheek when someone acts against you - regardless of their reasons.

I like the thought process you have displayed much better than previous posts. Sadly this being a full harem game I fear focusing on the best girl won't ever be satisfying.
With the explanation of Diana and Rin I can totally see adding those ladies as allies for future battles. Was kinda cool lore wise.
Holding back in a fight to almost getting killed not so much but future reasons was Ok.

You may be right but I'm going to keep focusing on just Eliza anyway. In the first couple of updates we had our missions laid out for us 1) Find and protect Eliza and 2) get revenge for MC's parents - and Eliza's messed up childhood. We have no other missions, everything else is just a side quest. So I'm focusing on those two missions and it's all I really want to accomplish (including protecting Eliza by keeping her close). And it's not just out of loyalty to the one Li - if Eliza wasn't in the game, I'd probably be playing it without a Li - because I really don't like any of the others. As a fuck maybe, but not as a Li. If it turns into some kind of battle of the gods and I'm supposed to save the world - I might and I might not. I'll protect Eliza, that's my mission.

Edit: My #2 Li in this one, if I had to pick one, would be Lucid - who I don't think is an option.

I get it, Eliza is fantastic to me as well. I was hooked very early in the game by her. I have a feeling Taron is absolutely not the endgame Baddie either as said before by everyone MC and E combined can wipe him out easy enough

Taron is probably not the endgame (though I suspect we won't get him until the end game). I just don't know how I'll react to whatever the end game is. I may go dark path and join with the endgame baddie. I've already asked about joining the cult. I want to protect Eliza and get Taron - so whatever gets those things done. If the end was like "You can protect Eliza or save the world" the world would be in serious trouble.

Considering that "best girl" is 100% arbitrary that doesn't make much sense.
