There's literally no indication that he didn't go all out and he hasn't used the laser eyes since the beginning of the game and rellies way more on wind magic. Imo this is a bunch of cope, he get knocked flying early on in the start and onyx gets disable then literally gets a fatal wound that he only managed to survived because he absored the heal crystals then after getting back up he gets frozen into a solid block of ice.
Because he did lost. Like I said above she delivers a fatal blow to him twice and he only gets back up because of his regen abilities and even then he was out for a good 30 seconds each time. It makes no sense for the mc to say "she's stronger than me" only for that statement to not be true and argue he's holding back. Mc hasn't used laser eyes because the dev forgot about them and hasn't used them since like chapter 2.
well there is also the fact Buu said a while back he was holding back so there is that. I just don't think he was holding back that much. That's why I said 70-80% of his max power.
I think he was holding back as well, but for a different reason.
I just think it was a domino effect him holding back prevented him from going all out since she got the edge the entire fight. That and I just don't think he is a good fighter without using his powers. Then im sure the fact she was a Admiral for the King made him not want to try to kill her but knock her out. So believe what you want I still think he was holding back to a small degree which is why I think he was only isng 70-80% of his max power, even after he realized how strong she was.
I'm going to continue to say he just got his ass beat and all you guys are just coping. I don't believe there was any chance he was holding back after she stabbed him in the throat. He had a good while to recover and compeltely caught her off guard when he got back up
I mean im not arguing he got his ass beat just he wasn't using his full capacity , just most of it. At that point I don't think he even recovered enough to go all out they both passed out right after the fight if I recall correctly. Or at the very least I recall he barley had any energy or mana left to do much after the fight and I think that was right at the end of the fight , when he got stabbed in the throat.
He identifyed previos as member of the court, like Diana, that is why he hold back, before all this adventure he had a convo with the King where the King tells him that he send his best Admiral against Pirate Bay.
Even after he was stabbed, he still wasn't fighting to kill so that's still technically holding back. And a few minutes isn't a good while to recover (if it were longer Diana wouldn't have still been off the boat when he surprised her).
Yeah, I remember they were both gassing out at the end which is why they both needed to rest for however many hours after the fight.
