I wouldn't necessarily say that update 5.7 was bad, but it was largely just stalling and introducing more pointless LIs. Riven and Orianna are actually interesting, but despite having good designs, Ria and Alyze are just filler at this point. Sivir could be interesting, but we already went through the underhanded priestess schtick with Marah.

We had to go through 2 different caves in this update and there was literally no point to either of those sections. The only things of consequence that happened were arriving in Arugoh, sparring with Riven, and talking to Orianna.

Agree. Orianna makes sense since she's the "target." Riven tosses in a member from the rival tribe (it would be weird if there were none interested). Ria and Alyze are just like the guards from the other camp, so we've done that already. I'm hoping Sivir isn't Marah 2.0 but not holding my breath.

The moment he met Kira and Pearl, the game changed course permanently. He's got content ready to deliver up till March of next year so unless he somehow developed a new style in the process (why would he?) we're just gonna get back to the capital with more of the same.

I suppose you're right, but the island storyline is so dull that it brought all the game's flaws to the surface. I was able to overlook those issues before, but this section is so uninspired that ignoring them has become impossible. On top of that, there's no Eliza, and the new LIs just don't interest me at all.

He already did. The virgin outsider lifted up by the priestess class to side line the warrior class. That plot line is from tales from the unending void.

We're at 5.7, the island arc ends with 5.9.

more like it's been rendered and created way ahead of time. So even if he wanted to listen to feedback and end it sooner it makes no sense to do so.

Because there's so much content already preplanned and ready, it really doesn't matter how arcs are received unless his reputation just tanks, which it hasn't. Any feedback would start to get applied after he begins to heavily work on content again.

The pirate arc had like 3 love interests and Pearl didn't get her first scene until the start of this one and the mc was still focused on his goal the whole time of getting the chalice. It wasn't just rapid filler sex scenes the whole time. The later arc with the princess was the same. There was a few filler sex scenes, but It never really felt like those scenes got in the way of progressing to the plot or that the plot was being sidelined for those scenes.

Yeah, i think this dreadful island arc has doubled the LI's, if not more... pretty much all of them are one dimensional and forgettable. It's so fucking boring and constantly filler and more pointles sex scenes. The lovey dovey talk is really annoying, like dude i can't hear it anymore, just same bs to every single of the dozen new girls...

I genuinely hope after the island arc is done the island with all the girls sinks to the ground of the sea and is never to be heard of again.

I'd hope the dev is focusing on the main LI's and a couple of the existing ones in the capital when back and most important, the story and not introducing more girls...but this whole arc let me really doubt it.

Dev "needed" a reason to have Eliza not a human to keep up with the MC's power. I use quotes because imo the story could have been significantly more interesting if he left her a human. The story would have been far more compelling, and Eliza a far better character if she remained the tie to MC's humanity and something that was constantly grounding him to being human, his old life so he didn't turn into some out of control god. You could have had a more impactful dark vs light route with going against her humanity and being "evil".

But instead he chose to power her up for no reason and we have been on side quest after side quest to the main plot ever since.

It's not just keeping up with MC's power, but also his immortality. Eliza is the canon LI and Buu clearly didn't want to write the type of story where Eliza gets old and dies while MC lives on unageing forever.

Her vampirism will also be a lot more relevant when she eventually visits the nation ruled by vampires with MC.

Haha, yeah. Eliza's interaction with most vampires there could be pretty funny. Apparently the top three are no joke though.
