A power he doesn't have yet, and doesn't know anyone that does, other than the Divines such as Lucid who got around the mortality thing by... creating vampires.
We started the game going on a magical pirate adventure. I'm sure the dev could have thought of something besides turning her into yet another mindless drone in the female harem army the MC has.

I fail to see how her being something other than human caused her to be a mindless drone.

Honest question, you don't think Eliza's writing has suffered long term? Not saying that being a vampire had anything to do with it. To me it just feels like the Eliza that was with us pre pirates was written differently (imo better) than Eliza has been since being turned into a vampire.

I do think it is not as engaging as earlier, but we also have gone a long time without seeing her much (if you've been following the Island arc in particular). And it's not uncommon for early relationships to be more engaging to write than established ones. Being happy in a relationship is not quite as exciting as the early stages when everything is new and you're constantly learning about the other partner. Now, you can certainly do things to keep it engaging, but that usually involves adding some type of a conflict to spice things up. It'll be interesting to see if anything like that happens in the next chapter once MC is back in Luxenford.
Mainly, I just wanted to express that I don't think her being a vampire has killed what made her an interesting character.

I agree that it's not the fact she's a vampire now. I just spent a good amount of time (more than I should have) wondering if Eliza was written worse on purpose in order to elevate some of the other LIs.
I think it's just more that the writing in general has gotten worse.

Eliza is a weird one for me because she went from amazing , then went downhill with how she was initially acting as a vampire , then when she got her shit together she went back up to her feeling mostly forgotten about when I want to see some Eliza vampire action. I mean she still brings a smile to my face cause her personality and sillyness doesn't seem changed that much for me.

Which contributes to the decline in quality because the scenes she does get, like training the other girls or checking in with the Nephilim just feel like busywork scenes.
I like her banter with Borri though.

Yeah the sounds like those were included to just show Eliza and nothing more. From the sounds of things it sounds like I wouldn't mind those scenes if there was more Eliza scenes with substance like the Banter
Like the other people have said. Its not her becoming a vampire literally thats the problem. She could have become a witch, some other mystical creature, whatever else. Its that she went from a decent LI with somewhat of an interesting character and interactions and after she was bedridden and turned her character made a 180 and suddenly can't do a fucking thing without the MC, turned into a princess in a castle that needs rescuing. Its just shit writing.
She had potential to be someone the MC could have relied on with her staying human, to keep the "human" part of the MC alive while struggling to grow his powers, and instead is just another notch for the MC to fuck now. Its what the story could have been, rather than just a gotta fuck em all game.
The first few updates the game seemed to want to tell a decent story rather than what we have now.
