I think Selena and the pirate girls are basically equally bad. Aside from Eliza, and maybe Sylph (for Eliza's sake) there is no one in the story who I'd really intervene to save and I would def. kill Selena and the pirate girls.
I hard disagree about the pirate not liking them and avoiding sure that's on you and I can under stand that but killing them? Hell no that's way to much overly harsh imo.

Selena's betrayal actually cause harm to Eliza and she knew what she was doing and it something bad would happen. Yeah she was being blackmailed but she also knew what she was doing. Yeah she did feel bad afterwards but not nearly as much as Peral did.

Peral - While also blackmailed betrayed the MC. The difference is she didn't know the Chalice was to curse someone the MC cared enough for. So she had no idea anything bad could of came from it. Then there is the fact she helped us get it back and fight her father and other pirates. Now if the chalice was gone be a different story and maybe I could agree with killing her then but that is a what if scenario. Also for me she showed more remorse than Selena by not wanting to be around or anything to do with them because she didn't think she deserved any forgiveness. Selena kind of just said I was blackmailed but sorry I did a bad thing without asking for help.

Kira - She hasn't even done anything bad enough to warrant her death other than be annoying and lie to the MC about taking him directly to the island because a rule she has to follow with her father to take her to him. She isn't even in the same league.

So to me you saying you want to kill them comes across as overly harsh and only something you would want to do if you are a Sith lord that can't feel any emotions or just doesn't care about being a evil / killing just because you dont like someone or just a dark player. ( which is fine these games are fantasies might as well have fun with it) But to say the pirates and Selena are basically the same and equally bad / on the same level. I cannot agree with it's a hard disagree from me.

That's fine you can disagree. It doesn't change my mind though - like Selena, regardless of their intention they endangered the only person in this world I care about. We got the option to kill Selena's sister and the sister did nothing - had no idea what was going on, hadn't met MC or Eliza until after and had no hand in the plot (other than as a hostage) - but her we had the option to kill. Even without the betrayal from Pearl and Kira I considered them uninteresting and fairly yucky as people and even without the betrayal I probably would have put a sword through Kira about the fifth time I had to say no to her. I didn't even catch her when she fell because it says "Kira Path" underneath. Even if I don't get the chance to kill them, my reaction to them showing up again would be something like "Holy fuck you skanks cannot take a hint." I should have negative relationship points with both of them and have done nothing to indicate that I even like them as people.

not trying to change your mind just saying why I think killing them is too much unless you have a dark play through and why I don't consider them in the same league for their betrayals.

I don't consider it a dark path thing at all. I've killed four people so far but am still (I think) on the light path when you add everything up. I didn't kill Selena's sister but have always killed otherwise when given the option and I don't consider the forest bandits, or the assassin, or the witch who "trapped" MC as bad morally as Pearl and Kira. Edit: Oops sorry five - I also killed the dude who was guarding wasername - the other girl from the pirate ship.

I think it's a big difference when they try to kill you and the Peral just did something wrong morally but had no idea how bad it really was and tried to correct the mistake. Which is why my opinion is killing Peral or Kira it way to harsh of a punishment unless dark path.

Well I would totally take the dark path if it had the option to kill them both.

I can totally see a world in which the MC goes scorched earth on anyone that threatens or impacts his ability to care for Eliza, except Taron. This is a threefold problem and I put the blame on Buu every time.

1) The writing of Eliza's relationship with the MC is so strong that is eclipses every other route in the story and it's not even close. It's a double edged sword.

2) Since we can't kill Kira/Pearl despite our MC having the ability to (just not the option) they are essential to the story in some way. Selena gave me hope that we would get a story that we could moderately shape ourselves, and Kira/Pearl ruined that notion quickly. We have a MC that will move the earth for Eliza, unless we need crew for a ship, since that's hard to find in a capital city with a port. Also, we're so bonded with Pearl that we can immediately forgive her, but not so bonded that we can tell her why we need the chalice on the way there. It would have 100% changed the plot because Pearl is written not to be an idiot.

3) The MC's inability to focus on Taron. Again, Buu writing fails here. We aren't even trying with Taron so it means Taron is either insignificant to the MC, or there's some reason Buu hasn't brought us into further conflict (Harem MCs too busy getting their dick wet, Eliza only MCs are...well...yeah). Either way, weak writing.

I mostly agree with this and I may just postpone putting any review up for awhile - just to give Buu a chance to get back on track. The concept for the story is good. The elements of the story that are good is MC's relationship with Eliza, MC and Eliza (together) seeking revenge against Taron, and MC's semi-secret origin (who/what he is). And that's all, any deviation from those elements and the game gets weaker. A bit of comic relief or a small side quest is fine but Buu seems to be spending more and more time away from the only elements of the story that work.

If I wrote the review right now, the art would be a strong A-/B+ ... somewhere in there. The story would be a D - good concept but weak execution and the Characters would be a C (thanks to Eliza ... without whom ... D ... possibly an F) .. which would put the overall score at about a C - which is going to impress no one, so maybe I just hold off and see if it gets better later next year? IDK

This overall was an easy A/B+ for me up until the chalice arc. Slipped into B-/C territory there and since coming back, probably even lower. I'm optimistic (delusional) this "grand journey" will bring back some of the early love I had for it. If not...well, there's thousands of VNs here.

Yeah ... even once he came back from the Chalice Arc and Eliza was a vampire now I had had hope because I thought ow she's powerful enough to keep up with him, and together they are close to unstoppable. Unfortunately, since then, they are rarely together except for the occasional lewd scene and I'm not sure why or what Buu is trying to accomplish because there aren't any other characters in Eliza's league. There aren't any other Lis who might end up in Eliza's league. I don't think sending MC away and introducing even more Lis is going to change that. There is one S tier Li and about 20 C and D tier Lis. I don't think we need more of them.

I did put a review awhile ago but I think for me it heavily depends on the path now . Full harem I would rate the story lower ( to many lewds with side girls and not enough main girl progression). Just Eliza id give the story a higher score. Where we differ tho is the characters I think Eliza still brings the character score for me to like around an A or B. Since for me Amelia is showing signs should could be as good as Eliza before the vampire, Also Luna is quite decent and likeable for me. Then there are others I like that need love Like Peral and Alice.

Cool, good for you. I'm putting up a website that I hope will attract the shyer side of the AVN market - people who are interested but are too timid for F95 and don't know what they're looking for. I'm hoping that if I can start them out with some really solid games that it will draw them further in - maybe not to F95 but at least to Patreon and buying things on Itch and Steam. So that's what I'm writing reviews for (a long with supplemental pages like a glossary, and a Game Hall of Fame (for completed things) and Li Hall of Fame ... that kind of stuff. So that's what I'm writing reviews for. I want to get 20-30 good games on there before I even do the soft launch. I don't really review things for F95 - my impression is that people don't pay much attention to those anyway.

Saw some hero talk a few pages back and mention of Kira and Pearl, If It's right back to the pirates all I want Is to see Brenda and the asshole dad of the the other girl(forget her name atm) being brutally murdered and then forgotten and never mentioned again. Also, how Is Eliza? Hope she's doing good.

For what It's worth, I may not hate Pearl but I am not even close to liking her. Kira wore me down because I am weak with red heads, I do like her a fair bit but she can't ever be on the same level as Eliza.
