Honestly, being that far ahead is probably the main reason why he's able to release on such a consistent schedule compared to other devs. It gives room for some updates to take longer than others to make without shifting the schedule.

I was thinking of it in terms of the next arc basically being done and just needing to be released. When I see sex scenes that mirror previous scenes, etc, I used to forgive them because I thought the dev was cutting corners and rushing to meet deadlines. This buildup tells me that's not the case and the sex scenes being so similar are deliberate choices.

I get what you're saying, but even if he's far ahead, it does still mean he needs to work fast or else eventually the releases would catch up. But yeah, it does mean there's the opportunity to rework stuff if he really wanted pre-release.
