I got to hand it to this developer, not sure how many people are working on this VN, and while not perfect at all, its decent and the rate content gets dropped is pretty reasonable. I wish this was the standard for most developers, nway, thanks for the update, will check it later.

I respect the dev's ability to pump out one large update a month. He should really take a leaf out of Talothral's book (ToaM) and have each update as a single archive file that can be downloaded (ep5.6.rpa, ep5.7.rpa etc). Because having to copy paste 19,000 files every month is getting a bit silly.
Also yeah i feel like the whole 'akhan' thing has forced too many LIs and massively dragged out the entire island chapter when it wasn't really necessary. All we ever needed was Vex

MC also mentions something about "third party" involved, which means maybe another portion of new gals to collection

No. Hell the dark path itself is barely fleshed out at all.
LIs in this are basically light switches. Turn them on for sex, turn them off for friendship. That's it. Sometimes you have to flip the switch a lot.

There is no "dark path". This developer realized that branching paths would require effort so it's pretty much abandoned.

i'm waiting till Season 2 to have an opinion on it. I recall the dev basically said the Dark Path stuff won't really come into play till S2 and S3 and the purpose of the Dark Path choices is more or less to lock you in for S2 / S3 when the MC gets his wings.
There WAS a plot, in the beginning... then the dev ran out of imagination and started copy-paste LC.

This is correct. Light/Dark branching in Season 1 is mostly just for flavor, but will have a bigger impact in future Seasons.

The appearance thing worries me because that means double render work for some scenes. He's already reusing a lot of renders in certain updates to save time despite having this backlog of content available to push out.
There's a scene in this update where MC is talking to Orianna on the throne and in the next render, it's the shot from before she shows up, throne is empty but they are still talking. It's a one off mistake for the update but also par for the course when it comes to Buu's render work.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't understand how there's so many time saving measures in place (which lead to mistakes) when he has a backlog of content ready.
