Honestly the harem in this game is too big, i'd imagine most girls (especially the tribal ones) wont even get mentioned going forward.

I don't even think about it as a harem, just a guy that isn't tied down and bangs everyone he talks to. I just ignore all the mushy love stuff. Under the best of AVNs it's like "you've known her like 4 hours, you ain't in love ffs." But, when there's this many it's like "can you even remember her name?".

To be clear, I'm not saying it isn't a harem (or three to five harems), it's just how I suspend belief to make it make sense.

It's fine to have a huge harem but you need to have some kind of power set or magical element to make it work or else it feels like a "just fuck everyone and including all the side girls" type of thing and there's not even enough time in the day to have sex with 40 different women.

Unless they give him some sort of cloning ability or linked orgasms i don't see this getting any better especially with how fast growing his harem it.

There is no time for any kind of good personalitys, relationship or character development or really anything, even the sex scenes are just boring really fast.

Origin Story which is one of my favorite harem games will probably end up at 12-16 girls but that mc will literally have cloning, time stopping and orgasm powers when its done and they literally just had an entire episode about one LI.

I guess 12-16 isn't bad compared to 40 tho.

Yeah, still several other countries to go...if he at least would limit it on something like 2 girls per country and give them proper built up and characterization it wouldn't even be bad. The island arc is pretty much everything i dislike about harem games, neglects the story, sidelines the main girls, drops two dozen girls at you which aren't even worth remembering the names...

Yes, the harem doesn't feel really good in this one, at least for me.
I'd rather we spend the time with Eliza & co, with the main girls the harem isn't that bad, at least they interact with each other, are aware of the others, accept them, becoming friends and try to become stronger.
The MC just leaving the main girls behind and fucking anything what moves doesn't make it really enjoyable for me, which is why i ignore pretty much any side girls or other LI's i don't like.

Honestly I have been here for awhile. Since around the dude doing back thing. (no spoilers) and I am getting burnt out from the constant addition of new "LIs" if you can call them that. I don't remember their names. Also the recycled renders...though now it at least is used in "flashbacks" or "retelling what happened" still just comes off as laziness....This game had a lot of potential at the start now it seems like its just.....dragging along.

Island yes for now....Pirate girls I think are considered main LI's so probably not for long....but considering your title for both I doubt very much both the island and pirates are done.

Um, what is the point of having Brenda satisfy the MC if Pearl is just going to kill her anyways? I didn't want ANY of the females to get killed. I wanted ALL of them even Brenda.
