I think there are probably lesser angels that are servants of Castiel, but Castiel himself is said to be one the 7 divines and Lucid mentions that she's his aunt. Based on what the dev said the ranks are
The four universal pillars of creation (Life, Death, Order, Chaos) > The Seven Divines(Castiel and Lucid)> Lords of the Abyss > Celestial gods(Maia and her sisters) == Devil’s of Hell > > Guardian spirits == Elemental Lords(Diana's and Rin's ancestors) == The Ancients > Minor gods > High tier mortal beings.


According to the dev MC is currently a higher tier mortal, but Maia mentions that he's close to ascending to a minor God. So he's still very very far below Castiel

I kind of wonder, since gods exist by having followers and MC has already been hoarding women for while now...once he fully becomes leader of the tribe he might have enough for his first ascension...would be very nice if the island arc ended with the MC's first ascension. But how would that work...gods are forbidden from directly being involved in the lives of mortals...so if the MC ascends would he have to play by the same rules as Maia, Gaia, and the rest, or would he like have a grace period or whatever where it's like since nobody told him the rules he can do whatever for a while.

It's not even the "theft" that bothers me so much (that's really between the Dev and the Dev of the other game), it's more the lack of originality, the laziness, his assuming that no one would notice and the fact that it doesn't feel like we're playing the same game - it's like he couldn't be bothered so had everyone play a different game for six months or so.

He could even try more when Noah gets stronger. A common angel or archangel definitely won't be able to stop him. The power of a Nephilim is enormous, man.

I mean I don't think the nephilim in this story is all that powerful right at the beginning plus he can't even beat a human

Well its hard to say since hes a half human at least, he may be immune to that. The whole minor gods thing may only apply to pure gods (those born between them and any others of higher tier). BUT honestly idk well see when that time comes.

Why would i even care about that one scene and some other similarities...
Story wise it's set on a jungle island and a tribe of women that's about it, the other game isn't exactly story focused from what i remember...didn't bother to keep playing after they made it a sandbox.

because it's not just "one scene". it's the entire chapter. if buu rips off the avn we already know of, how can we know if the other chapters were original and not stolen?

Dunno, the story of that game was so forgetable the only thing i remember is the setting....something about some guy which was and is a threat or something like that and they running arround in the jungle and some random magic.

The other you mentioned (btw crappy game) has a completeley different setting, no gods no magic no elves fairys dwarfs and on and on.
This is just one chapter, although not my favourite, in an epic storyline.

Lets be honest, even with the similarities, those similarities make up what 10% of the chapter if that? Everyone is forgetting the completely custom scenes and renders, the completely different stories, and the completely different character models. Its not complete plagiarism even if he did steal the ideas from it. No mater what anyone says, unless you 100% talk to BOTH devs to get the story your just speculating.

I also dont understand why yall are still talking about it after the mods have clearly been deleting posts concerning it as its just complete arguing and not actual discussions. I dont get it, if you dont like the game then say your peace and close out the chapter. No need to keep coming back and constantly saying the same thing over and over and over. Its worse than a broken record. Its getting old, every time someone says something "Oh but this dude stole it" - Couple messages later - "Oh its just plagiarism" like sheesh. All too funny tbh.

Nah bro, i still like the avn too (not this chapter tho) but you cant blame people for stating the obvious. Even less if there has never been any explanation.

It IS a surprising and confusing situation and not usual at all in avns.

Yeah you're not supposed to talk about other games in any games thread (I think it's to stop people from spamming and self-promoting). It's a bit ironic in this case though.
