I restarted.

It's probably not as bad for me, I did have a habit of skipping most of the island stuff. I've played the game it took "inspiration" from and wasn't really interested in seeing more.

Decided to play it this time, actually wasn't too bad. Dragged out longer than I would have liked but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I'll try my old save in a bit to see if I get the same outcomes.

Yeah, the island is way too long with almost nothing of relevance, especially if you've played the "inspiring" game. Been dreading to replay because of exactly that. Ah well...

Honestly, the island arc isn't too bad when played all at once, either first time or on a replay. Aside from just entirely too many LIs being thrown our way, it had an interesting story, some cool exploration and lore.

I think the reason so many people hated it was because it lasted almost a damn year when you're playing it bit by bit as each update dropped.

When going through it all from start to finish in one sitting, it still drags on a fair bit but doesn't feel nearly as long as when it's being drip-fed to you as monthly updates. Especially when every month you're just screaming internally "I want my *insert favorite main cast LI*!!!"

For clarity, I also haven't played the "inspiration" game yet, so I don't have that deja vu effect that so many have mentioned.

The problem a lot of us had is what you mention in your last sentence.

The islands story and lore are an exact copy of everything that happens in another game.

Hidden island of women, men did bad things to them, MC finds them and gets involved etc.. etc..

The only difference is the MC. Here we have a Nephilim, there it was just a guy and his group but everything else is practically the same.

It wasn't that we hated the whole island experience it was more than not enough was changed to make it unique and it lasted too long because of that.

We're basically seeing a chunk of a story we've already seen before just with different actors. It's like a Hollywood remake. The main issue being the other game isn't exactly old, it's last update was this month. So basically we've had 2 games with the same story running at the same time with the other game only having started 5 or 6 months prior to this game starting.

You can see why this would be jarring to some.

Apparently, adding extra content, was an opportunity created by making changes to the code, or vice-versa. Anyway, yes, it was obviously made specifically to waste your time. Because........ ah well :: Shakes Head ::

very good update (0.5.9), I enjoyed it very much. A lot of content and story progression, and of course lots of really good sex scenes. MC gains a lot in this update. Next update we go home to our sexy little vampire

actually Castiel existed before Supernatural and is one of the more upper angels. also it was more like he simply placed his energy into the woman rather than perform the actual act of creating the mc

She is absolutely adorable and most certainly in my top 5 best girls but she is a tad unhinged and likes to kill.

It is nice to see her cut loose every now and then .... pun intended.
