Why you say you can't assume when all you did is assume? Let's be honest with yourself and other people. You can assume all you want. After all, you only assume something when you don't know it. It's not necessarily wrong to assume, it's just a matter of reasonableness and persuassiveness, so far, your assumptions lack both.

What I do is not baselessly assuming, if you actually read what the dev said, you'll understand, if you didn't, go do that. And don't ask irrelevant question and expect answer.

You don't interpretate a text or material into something that is explicitly contrary to the original. You also don't disregard the original and the context around it when you interpretate, in this case, the dev's intention that is already expressed. Sure, you can try to argue the way the artist express his vision is not good enough for you to interpretate it precisely, which lead you to your own distorted interpretation. And what would be the reason for your approach when "interpretating"? Your feeling of "gf and her friend are so mean"?

And why even bring the matter of "feeling" up? Express your feeling all you want, no one stoping you. Just don't confuse your feeling with "what other ought to feel".

You should, instead of saying dev or other people don't understand, explain how can it be possible for the game, in it's current form, to appear more romantic and allows the bond between the mc and Laura to show. I personally don't feel it lacks such element, but it would definitely be benificial if there's more, to enrich and deepen the story.

And no, I didn't think I'm absolutely right, nor did I expressed such opinion. If you have such feeling that I am, it's clearly false, not that it's a big deal. I do think and hold that, there's better way to do certain things. You're welcome to argue or simply disagree. I also don't intended to invalidate anything you say except what you think falsely of me or my point.
