My issue isn't only with translating itself. It's also about implementing it. I'll remind you that this game started as a fun project I did for a few days/weeks before it exploded. It doesn't have language management. Most "system" text is hardcoded, and dialogues are in game objects, I cannot "give them" to anyone for now.you can outsource it
the moment public version releases - you give all lines to trusted persons for them to translate into languages you doesnt speak.
OR
you can find an enthusiast native speakers of foreign languages among your subscribers, who even (possibly) can translate for free. but in this case, at least you have to mark them in "credits", like an additional "app" on home screen.
ofc power of choice is in your hands, but please, do not MTL or google translate

"Them" being the dialogue or the game objects? Because you don't need to give the whole files to people, just a .csv file with the text, and then implement it on the game.
Also, I don't know why people demonize automatic translator. Of course human translated is way better, but there's lot of H mangas for example that I could only read because of MTL, since no one wanted to do it.

Isn't that ironic (and kind of normal). You develop a fun project or cool tool (for work). It then becomes an established standard -- which sucks the fun out of it as you now must support it from cradle to grave.

I think it's okay that Le Stag doesn't translate it. He's covering most around 1.5B folks. Plus his LOE to abstract his strings from the object, totally not worth it.
Lesson learned, maybe his next project will leverage LANG files ... or not. Again LOE. If he did, he would only need to focus on the classic western languages (due to tech gear), it would have nearly 3B folks. Add in Mandarin & Japanese, it would be close to 4.5B. And that's a substantial number of folks on this hurdling rock.

I don't think the most spoken languages of the world would be similar to the most spoken languages on these porn games community.
For what I saw on other projects, Russian seems to be one of the most popular languages on these things, and brazilian portuguese have good numbers as well, despite both of them being on the low end of this top 10.
Mandarin I also see, but japanese I think it's rarer, probably too busy playing their own VNs... Hahaha

I'll have to move the dialogues to a file, then back again. That requires developing the system around it, which is not the top priority right now.
That will definitely be done in the end though. To be honest, I've even started it just a bit, you can, in theory, have the home screen in french already.

From what I've seen some of the biggest reasons there's not much russian "payers" is because they can't use Patreon and SubscribeStar, but they use Boosty if available.there are many creators from Russia, not recipients of content (especially paid content)

Regardless of it, being a language spoken for many players, free or not, maybe having it could act as advertisement for a lot of nee players?

I have a request for the dev or anyone who wants to do this. A suggestion if you will, I propose an entirely new game. Featuring Laura which we've all known to grow to love. if you've played this much of the game you can agree the dev has a talent for writing, for Laura's character the girlfriend in this game.
I would like a new visual novel in renpy engine to keep it simple, sure can use AI art even though regular art would be better I know it's time and cost effective for the lazyish. Anyways! The main draw and call for this game with Laura (or a different girl) is to be without cheating whatsoever. None.
I know this may come as a shock to you, but maybe just maybe for those of us that don't want to continue on this more degen what's the new fetish path? We take a turn and dive into a what if side story perhaps, where you don't in fact share Laura (or your gf in this new game) you have a day to day life where you go to work, text a little here and there have nice scenes in the game and buy new outfits for your gf. Have dinner dates, movies. You know like a normal style relationship.
So why am I asking for something so vanilla? Well a lot of the time vanilla is refreshing after something so out there and extreme you don't know what will happen next, probably won't want what happens next, just want a return to norm. So we give fans of Laura and the Dev's writing of her personality a chance to shine a new game! You guys might be addicted to Laura, constantly craving something more. Where is the new update always coming back to check this thread. Might lost interest in this specific type of game, and see it's limitations of just being a phone game. I think it is done, it is something to just pass the time, but in the end it is a type of dating simulator. Hentai adult game.

Sorry, but Le Stag already promised a fantasy spin-off "Netorase Scrolls". He said Todd is working on it and the mountains are done (you can climb them). Then he'd obviously have to release it on current and future consoles, including Nintendo Dom and Nintendo Sub, quantum phones, fridges and roombas. Then make a Special edition (16 times the details), Anniversary edition, Legendary Edition, VR edition. Then open a mod store (I know some of you want Laura with giant tits and ass).
So all in all, I'm afraid he's gonna be too busy.

In all seriousness, though, without trying to belittle vanilla taste, I don't think a lot of people would find an idea of a game, that you described, interesting. In general people want conflict, progress, goals achieved, change or choice. Even some pure vanilla games out there either have multiple possible LI's to give players some choice, or they end when MC wins over their LI — thus they focus on a goal and progress. If the game starts with Laura and MC already in a vanilla relationship, there is kinda nowhere for them to go. Going to work, on dates and having occasional vanilla sex with your established GF in a videogame gets stale pretty quickly, if that is pretty much the entire gameplay (at least IMO). It's just not close enough to a real life experience to be interesting for long. If I have to spend 10 minutes going to a store IRL, without any music or anything, it won't be interesting, but I wouldn't really get bored. Now imagine walking a boring street for 10 minutes in a videogame, without anything happening. It would be a nightmare.
I do appreciate Le Stag giving us vanilla conversations with Laura as a break in between more degenerate stuff, because it shows that there's more to her and MC's relationship than watching her get fucked by other men (even though she looks absolutely wonderful in the process), listening to her describe how much she enjoys that (even though it's making me very happy) and "reclaiming" her. It makes kinky stuff all the sweeter. But I can't really see it being the main focus of the game.

even the people suggesting the vanilla routes wouldn't find them interesting. if they wanted to play vanilla games, there are plenty on the site. yet they always find themselves in NTR/NTS threads requesting vanilla routes.
why? i think these posters are turned on by NTR/NTS, play the games, then feel some shame/guilt after. then they come to the thread and say "hmmmm pretty good game, i just wish it was a vanilla game without all this sharing/cheating nonsense," perhaps they are not even fully aware that if the sharing/cheating was removed, they would've skipped playing the game in the first place.

I wouldn't go that far with the motivation assumptions. I think it's completely normal and understandable to see a character you really like and just wish that they were in a different setting. I myself have seen enough characters that I liked and thought "man, I wish you could have a mmf threesome with that girl" or "this girl looks so nice, if only it wasn't forced/humiliation/sleazy leechers stuff".
