Since this is my game I should probably put up some info about it.

What's new in the sequel?
The biggest new feature is being able to select the protagonist. To put it in terms of Netoria 1, you can basically make Carwyn, Gwen, Vivian, or Owain the main character of the game, although the relationships and character dynamics are fairly different. This changes the story and the mechanics and makes the picked character the center of the story, with it being about their relationships and character growth. So it can be netorare, netorase, netori, you can pick the perspective and focus.
I also overhauled the combat system to make it more dynamic and complex. There's now a heavy emphasis and skills and equipment allowing you to customize your character and having a progressions system less random and reliant on levels.

Why is there a sequel at all?
Usually, I tinker with and iterate on a project until I get bored of the concept and move onto something else. But Netoria 1 had some structural issues that I couldn't really fix that way, like the mechanics and story falling apart in the second half. So instead I decided to redo the basic formula of the first game but with better planning and budget and such. Hopefully Netoria 2 will be a much better overall experience start to finish.

Why use SRPG Studio again?
Yes, SRPG Strudio is bad, I've bemoaned it plenty in the past. But from my experience making At the Mountains of Friendship, I think that anything I code personally will probably cause just as many UI problems in the end. At this point people who are fans of the game are already used to the quirks of the engine and switching to something else would probably create more problems than it would solve. Besides, I've already done lots of work to get things this functional already, development would have taken around twice as long if I started over in something else.

Didn't dig the first game but let's see if the second will be more interesting, especially lewds-wise.:coffee:
The ability to pick protag that fits your tastes is already a progress.

No offense, but sounds like an architect defense of CAD over BIM.
Python 2x vs 3.
VHS vs digital midia (hello blockbuster)
var vs let in JS.
XML
Fax

Etc.

Best of luck.

I loved your first game, I hope this one has hidden netorare/corruption (and during battles) too.
But please, for the love of good writing, fix that AI written synopsis! Or at least edit it when you use it.
I'm fed up of seeing half the last western games synopsis "mysteriously" all becoming about "power dynamic", "hidden desire", "tapestry of x and y" and other obvious AI tryhard erotic writing.
