...and see to its downfall.
You will decide the fate of New Antioch.
Is the choice to decide to bring down New Antioch still on the cards? It seems to me, looking briefly at the code at what's being tracked, seeing as how 3 of the main LIs on the banner are members of the Royal family, how Gaius is being molded into this fatherly mentor figure etc. that we're heading in only one direction and that is being New Antioch's savior - from both the Cicero/Jamie Lannister wannabe faction (I'd put money on Enzo killing Gaius at some stage and we're gonna have to avenge him too) and on the virus front.

Regardless of my 90% suspicion that Dante is the one who killed his father (10% its the Ferrymen) and will have to be dealt with, thus making MC's original mission bogus, this does not change the fact that you are a son (even a dug out of a pre-collapse pod one) of New Riften :p, not Antioch. A duped patsy who has a change of heart on learning the truth...is rather corny. Can we actively choose to work against the city on our own volition regardless? (Start our own little faction with Safiya, Rocco, the fishmonger, Titus, beer-belly guy and the blue team even ).

Being good and evil has got nothing to do with it. To use the same Roman analogy used by this game, the way I see it, if you're a son of Germania, Gaul, Britannia, Hispania etc. that have been ruthlessly exploited by Rome for centuries (they even use the same excuse "the advancement of civilization"); like Boudicca, like Arminius, like Hannibal son of Hamilcar, it's your duty to see Rome burn if you are able. (Keep the doctor and the techie though, we still want to cure the virus under a new MC led civilization ).

It's still cool if we can't though, am enjoying the game and looking forward to the next chapters.

Trying not to spoil too much :giggle:, but I'm planning 3 major endings based on whose side you take:
  • New Antioch
  • Aqua Palma
  • Super secret mystery faction
The Empire will thrive in one, fall in one, and be reshaped in one. I'd also like to have FONV-style ending slides for all of the player's other choices (e.g., what they decide to do with the virus). And you hit the nail on the head about it not being about good and evil. All of the factions have their pros and cons.

Ep 4 will have the first big choice in terms of which side you're on, and there will be more.

ruthlessly exploited by "Rome"
Not to mention the Imperatrix ordered a hit on the MC and even later dismissing it with her variant of the "it's nothing personal, it was just business" line (it was the right call at the time).

I'm looking to one day returning the favor; "nothing personal, just finishing the business of The War of Ruins" :p .

The fan girl really? I would have never guessed because in my eyes she's a totally uninteresting dumb slut and a waste of renders.
Don't remember her.
Her:

Besides "just" giving us an H-Scene, from a writing perspective, I suspect the dev may intend for it to serve a couple of purposes in service of the main story:

1) Disseminate a rep for the MC's genuine 100% old-school pre-collapse schong TM beyond the upper crust and into the city gossip mill in general, and

2) To show Enzo gradually losing his fans to the new upstart hotstuff in town; "The aXeMan Champioooon of the Arena!!!" (thus progressing Enzo's jealousy/rivalry/antagonistic arc), and what better way to rub it in than for the MC to pound all vestiges of Enzo from his no.1 fan's memory.

Damn. Even you showed me her photo, I still don't have a bit memory of her.:ROFLMAO:
The fan girl definitely serve as a plot device to leading the conflict between MC and Enzo.

The latest news is that audio is done and screaming of hype for the slew of schorcingly erotic episode to come! In the mean time, here it is,
a proper preview of ep 4, so here goes:

Episode 4 is called "Gold and Steel", and will take you through a few days in the life of a rookie praetorian. You'll dip your toes in luxury (literally), but you'll also be getting your hands dirty. Will you stay loyal to Aqua Palma, or take your first step towards New Antioch instead? Will you take a risk for a humble farmer, or be safe and placate the evil that threatens him? Will you ruin a young man's life, or nudge him (albeit harshly) toward a better path?

You'll get closer--emotionally and physically--to a number of love interests. You'll dive into another person's memories, learning the truth about your parents. And you'll be sent on a mission that will ultimately decide the fate of the whole world.

Dev might say this with every new episode, but I hope it too that this one's their best work so far. It really fleshes out the city of New Antioch, and with the codex + map, the rest of the world too. It also ramps up the adult content, which is planned on ramping up even further in ep 5.

Well ... we should all take the wonderful words of this bombshell to heart:
she hates it out there in the midst of barbarians whom she could never intergrate with,
like we see during the early game play.

We sholuld also put into perspective the actual upbringing MC has been given - the ruler he saw as a father made peace with the Empire, so this is tit for tat something of Gladiator -most loyal commander chosen by the ruler - or Moses who saw the pharaoh as his father who treated him as a son in the Christian Bale dramatization where he was even loyal to a fault to his mind fukked brother - tit for tat relationship our MC has with the new ruler, his brother.
like Boudicca, like Arminius, like Hannibal son of Hamilcar
The Empire will thrive in one, fall in one, and be reshaped in one.

People forgetting we built modern Civilization on the back of Rome, not Gauls or Celts or Germans. Yes there was exploitation but let's not overlook the contributions Rome made as well now

Nevermind Aqua Palma didn't join the War of Ruin (because it was stupid and foolish), And if our 'brother' killed our dad then it isn't a non-zero possibility that it was because he was gonna pick us to succeed him after all, which kind of justifies some of that fear. And God knows as the Dreadwolf we carried out plenty of 'its nothing personal' hits on behalf of Aqua Palma. But I'm not gonna forgive her for it right away, I'm just open to seeing how she makes it up to me and aware of the cost bringing down the equivalent of Rome can be (especially in a post apocalyptic world where resources are scarce as is and the general world is chaotic and even worse by all accounts outside of New Antioch's borders).

Maan, update coming 31st (for citizen but I wonder when the public one will be released?) I think, I kinda hope there will be a recap of some sort bc I don't rly remember the choice I made and some of the story's important details. I remember the big picture though but man I see ppl talkin abt aqua palma, new antioch (I think those are cities?). I honestly don't remember what those refer to.
SO yeah, it'd be great if there was an optional recap.

Yk some may like reviewing smt they liked but I don't. I have this friend who watched one piece 4 times, maan 4 frkin times. When I don't remember a movie well I often go on ytb to watch a review of it or smt. I honestly don't know why but I hate it.

The game is good but in the end I'm too lazy to even try multiple paths (so yeah forget abt playing it again lol) that's why I often stick to one and miss a lot of scenes and that's also a reason why I like games like superhuman where if you want it (yk bc some some prefer the monogame route) and make the right choices you can get most of the scenes with most of the girls in one playthrough. Like, Idk if you ever felt that way, but some games make you feel like you're missing out, I don't like that feeling.

Sry man kinda vented here lol

Anyway, I think it'd still be beneficial for the dev to include an optional recap at the start of each chapter especially if he is planning to update it every 5-6 months.

I noticed that, sometimes, the number of veinlets in the eyes of the characters increase or decrease from one scene to another, mainly for the women (when MC is involved), but it happens for the dudes as well, although to a lesser extent, depending on what happens in the scene. So I have a question : is there any correlation between those veinlets and the, let's say mental/physical state, of the characters ? like in relation to what the MC is and does ? Or am I reading waaaaay too much into this and it's just a very nice attention to detail ? because in some scenes it's not as noticeable, so maybe i'm just blind or it's the lighting or whatever.

Either way, loving the game so far and this detail, deliberate or not, is great to have.

Nowadays I just skip the story of pretty much every game I play because they suck, but to think that I'd get invested in a story about Adam Driver being a mutant gladiator/soldier for a post apocalyptic Rome wasn't something I was expecting. The wonders of porn. Great stuff
