The thing is, she has spys there, MC was never considered to be the next boss there, he has shown zero ambition to take over that position and neither does he seems to have any goal to start a rebellion against the empire.
MC is just an elite soldier, that's it.

Dante is the only son and official successor, it be strange if she didn't have an eye on him.
Also he has no achievements and is much more likely to do stupid things to prove he deservs the possition and is a good ruler.

That's pretty much the kind of arbitrariness and tyranny which either gets a ruler assassinated or starts a rebellion (i assume the MC wasn't the only case of her great judgment).

Dante, gullible as he is, has listened to the first guy which showed up, was promissing him some things and is trying to overthrow the empire...

From my point of view, it is the reasoning behind the order that is flawed.
Or she wanted to influence the succession for which presumably she sent spies to get an idea of who between Dante and Mateo (it always seems strange to me that Dev opted for the Spanish variant and not the Italian Matteo given the strong influence of the Roman Empire XD) would be a more favorable option. Now here I am willing to concede that I may be biased, but I think in this context it is difficult to not see that Dante, given the lack of respect from his subjects and the comparisons with his father and Mateo, is the most likely to embark on great enterprises to prove that he is not a buffoon.
Otherwise the other option is that Mateo has gained too much fame so he needs to be eliminated, which does not paint a very stable ruler.

It's also for broader improvement of health care and medical treatment for the empire as a whole, which Gaius also points out since his son won't last much longer anyway.

I mean, that's a leap of logic. Most people would think based on that review that Dante would just delegate the responsibility and enjoy the perks as so many wastrels did, and most wouldn't command such a grand undertaking without already having the respect and trust of his subordinates in the first place. The reason this is even getting off the ground is because of Cerberus' (whose probably Cicero) secret backing, not because of Dante's initiative given he sends Mateo off on a false pretense (his most competent advisor) just to get rid of him and consolidate his power in Aqua Palma due to his paranoia and insecurity. On it's face value and on his own Dante would have probably self-destructed.

Eh, even just in New Antioch or anyone that can travel there it'll still be a huge patient base that will have access to new treatment. Also I want to make a correction, the person being treated is Gaius' husband now that we can read his codex entry, not his son :ROFLMAO:

I really don't mind doing that myself. I definitely want the dev to get his coin because this game is definitely worth it... On the other hand, I really want to play it since I didn't play the last update and I've been waiting more than a year. So, definitely an internal conflict...

I've just replayed version 0.5 and I'm so hyped for v0.6, i'm refreshing this page regularly, I understand why people don't want to post the link if they have it, but waiting is so hard!

is this going to be a big update. It's been a while since I played this and was wondering if just playing the update is enough or should I replay it now while the update is out.
